We Paid King Law $2500.00 for a case against a contractor. They didn't do much, nothing happened to the defendant. Well over a year later KIng law emailed me to see if i wanted to continue with the case, I responded that I wasn't happy with their previous work and did not wish to conduct business with them. They sent me a bill for $75 for answering their email. I do not think I should have to pay that. Consistent with their shady business practices. Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because: If I accept a call from King Law they will charge me for it. They charged me for responding to an email when I told them I did not want to continue doing business with them. All I want is for them to stop calling me and remove their $75.00 for responding to their email.

King Law (Columbus/*************) has been yanking me around for nearly the past three months. First, they never informed me that the original attorney left the firm and did nothing for two and a half months. Then they tried to charge me about $400 to get a new lawyer from the firm to handle it. Now they are hitting me up to re-write forms and court pleas that have already been written up, and which via their malpractice didn't file two and a half months ago when they were supposed to. they totally ignored any and all communications. Then, **** I finally got their attention, they charged me $425 dollars to essentially tell me that they had no clue what was going on and had just assigned an attorney. Then another $600 to re write the exact same valid documents and another accounting despite a Family Agreement in their possession and now it is going into another extension to keep this estate open for another year (that would make 4 years). I have warned them that I am going to file a complaint with the *************** since they continue to be totally unresponsive to my requests to end this estate. Instead, I'm getting skinned alive as this unnecessarily continues. Then I am going to go to the **** ** and ** ************************ and then file civil litigation for damages, real and punitive. I refuse to pay twice for work already done because of their malpractice. They even had the gall in the past to charge me a consultation fee for just coming in to pay money owed to them. King Law simply refuses to communicate, and if they do, it is meaningless and I get another bill. I refuse to pay for incompetence. And this is taking a severe toll on my health and emotional well being. And, yes, I am the executor of the estate and I want the last bit of my share of my mother's estate or I will *** the ever-loving daylights out of King Law. I will not be bilked and skinned for another ***** at this point. This is prima fascia malpractice and negligence on their part.

On June 27, 2022, I paid $50 for a 30 minute consultation to have an attorney to speak to my incarcerated son on a civil lawsuit for a slip and fall in the shower that required medical attention. My son only had a 2 minute call out of the 30 mins, due to the room unable to be a private call, the assigned attorney, *************************** told my son they will continue the talk in the office in a couple of months when he gets out.Now that he's out, I've called several times to continue what was promised & schedule the consultation. I lft a vm on 5/22/23 ******* returned my call on 5/23/23@9:17am telling me that we will have to pay another $50 for a consultation as their company policy says after 6 months you have to pay for it. She transferred me to the complaints ********** a vm. On 5/23/23@9:38am ******* returned my call & said the attorney spoke to my son on 8/8/22 and has it in notes of the slip & fall incident & needed medical attention. The attorney is no longer at the firm. She was unable to give a reason why it was noted my son is not eligible for the attorney to represent if my son was unable to explain in depth of the incident. At 10:01am I call again & my son lft ***************************** a vm requesting his consultation as he was unable to speak privately. His call was never returned. We called again on ****************** son spoke to ****** letting her know the full consultation never took place as the room was not private & he was told by the attorney to call back & continue on the conversation when he gets released. ************************* then said the notes said he didn't qualify for there services. She says that she doesn't think any of the attorneys will be able to assist this time as he didn't qualify for the service last time. She then states that since the previous attorney is no longer there, my son will have to pay for another consultation to speak to another attorney, and he will have to pay $50 again. She also said that since it's been almost a year, she will be unable to waive the fee. She then says that she understands that at that time they weren't able to really speak to him due to the environment that he was unable to speak about it. She then transfers the call to ***********************. She tells my son that he has to pay $50 for a consultation. My son told her that we paid the $50 to the law firm not to a specific attorney, therefore he deserved to get his consultation as it was already paid for per the receipt. She then says that their policy says after a year you have to pay for a second consultation. My son asked her when was the consultation and she replied saying a year ago. My son then asked her to provide him with the date and she replied saying "it was in June of 2022 it was actually a year". "June what?", my son asked. She replied saying "June 27th." Bottom line of this complaint is that I feel that we are being discriminated against for reasons: as their story changes when the consultation took place, requesting to have to pay $50 again even if it never really took place due to the privacy issues.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand that receiving the message about the Consultation Reservation Fee (CRF) can be disappointing, and we apologize for any frustration it may have caused. We appreciate your understanding as we clarify our firm's policy regarding the CRF.

The CRF is a nonrefundable fee that is designed to reserve your time to meet with a legal professional. It ensures that our attorneys are available and prepared to discuss your legal matter. However, please note that the fee does not guarantee a specific amount of time or specific outcomes. Its purpose is to secure the attorney's availability for your consultation.

Regarding the recent departure of Attorney ************************* from King Law, we acknowledge that this information may be relevant to your decision-making process. While we cannot provide details about individual Human Resource matters, we can confirm that Attorney ****** is no longer with our firm. If you believe that he would better suit your needs, we understand if you prefer to contact him directly for any follow-up discussions.

In the event that you still believe you have a legal matter and would like to explore your options with our firm, we encourage you to reach out to our client service team. They will gladly schedule a follow-up at no additional cost. While this is not our standard policy, we want every potential client to feel valued and have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with our legal professionals.

I had a very complex child support case involving military compensation, SSD, jurisdiction, and child support order. I called Kings law and spoke to ***********. I paid her a $250 consultation fee. After explaining my case she said it was a complex case but she had experience in family law and could help in both states. I took $3500 retainer and my paperwork to the ********* office and was told *********** no longer works for them I would get a attorney from the ********* office. I stressed how I needed a attorney with experience and could handle both states like thier website and ads stated as well as ***********. I was assured I would get a highly experienced attorney that could help in both states. A week later ************************* called and said he was my attorney. 5 months into the case somethings ****** was telling me I knew to be untrue so I ask how much experience he had. He first said experience and skill don't matter in a complex case. I pushed for a answer and he finally confessed I was his first family law case. He had one day of experience in family law when he got my case. I ask for a different attorney and was told take ********* go elsewhere but you better hurry you got a hearing coming up. They refuse to refund my money even though I paid for a attorney with a lot of experience and barred in both states but got a attorney only barred in ** and had one day of experience

I am still receiving bills from this company, I have tried to email and speak with them over the issues at hand and have received no response in over a month from the email I sent to them. They have charged me twice to set up a portal. I have paid them ******* to handle a divorce case. And have paid different amounts each month that they say I have owed. I paid them until I received a copy of my divorce that, they still have not told me about, was final in July of 2020. According to my lawyer at this business they still dont know that the divorce was final. I do have a copy of the divorce if you need it.

King Law strives to provides the best possible legal services to all clients. Our staff uses a team approach to meet client expectations and to answer/address any client complaints as they arise.

Our firm was hired to file an Answer and Counterclaim; there are other claims outstanding in this matter and the file with the court is not closed.  There are additional claims for Equitable Distribution, Alimony and Attorney Fees.  If this client would like for us to withdraw as her legal representative, we certainly can file a motion and ask the court.  The second option would be to file a dismissal of all remaining claims and close the file, but that comes with legal implications that our office may not recommend for this particular client.

We will review the billing on the account and should there be any errors, we will make an adjustment.  We required a deposit to the trust account and billed hourly as work was performed.  Once the trust money was exhausted, the client begin receiving bills.  The client has not made any payments on this account since April of 2021 and there is a small balance of less than $70, currently on the account.

The client's attorney and case manager will be reaching out directly to advise on the best legal options and make a plan of action to please the client.

      Sincerely,

      King Law Offices, PLLC
