  Strange behavior, underbid the job by a lot and then tried to quote us more and more as the project went on (did not take any measurements, quoted us for 17 bags of mulch, then tried to charge over $500 more for 20+ more bags.) Did not know how much rock was under our plants and later asked us to rent a bobcat for $600. I asked for the receipt and it was $542.23. I asked why he rounded up to $600 after saying he would charge us what it cost. Came and went multiple times, operated with no landscaping tools, asked to borrow tools such as scissors to cut landscaping fabric, hauled boulders, dirt, mulch, plants and trees in a RENTED Hertz minivan. Definitely not supposed to use them for commercial use. Said he had multiple "family emergencies" while on the job with us/when we asked him to come replace our damaged soaker hoses (not working, not tested by him, we discovered a landscape stake THROUGH the soaker hose). Canceled on us morning he said he was going to come fix it then asked us to send him pics of our plants because he "wanted to see them." Suspicious behavior, I suspect possible drug use.

  ***** sold me arborvitae trees which died within 4 weeks. *****, the owner, informed me that his investigation indicated the trees were diseased. He advised he would replace the trees rather than give refund which he said is their policy. I waited 7 months for the situation to be managed. After a string of last minute cancellations and a myriad of excuses, I requested a refund. ***** agreed to refund my money. On April 10th he indicated a refund would be mailed April 12th which did not happen. On April 26th, I followed up regarding status of refund. I was informed the check would be mailed next day. To date I have not received my refund. ***** has reneged on replacing the trees and on refunding my money.

  We absolutely love our front and backyard paved walkways that ***** Barnhardt and his crew installed. Working with ***** and his crew was an excellent experience. They arrived ON TIME and worked diligently to be sure the walkways were completed as promised and exactly as we discussed prior to the beginning of the work.While we have a list of landscaping ideas we've discussed with *****, he was quite comfortable doing the job in stages as our finances allow and that is a BLESSING.They cleaned up after themselves each day and left our property as it was when the job began...My husband and I enthusiastically recommend Barnhardt Landscaping & Design for landscaping and design services. Way to go, *****!
