      I purchased a laptop on July 14th. The purchase/checkout process indicated shipping would be between Aug. 9th and 13th. For an unusual reason, this was key to my purchase timing. Lenovo offers a 30 day return period, with full refund and they pay for the shipping. In my case, I am purchasing this for a new university student who is traveling until mid-August. Having it arrive between Aug 9 - Aug 13 is perfect. It will give her a couple weeks to try it and decide if she likes it prior to the return period expiring. Surprisingly, I got a shipping notification July 16th. I called Lenovo and they assured me it was going to a distribution center and not me, and that I would get it over the committed timing. The next day, it was directly enroute to me and arrived a business day later and my 'invoice date' was set at July 16 and I have 30 days to return from that date. I then reached out to Lenovo by chat (since the phone line gave false info, I figured I'd try chat). This took a long time, but finally the rep gave me his email address and assured me if I summarized my request, he'd escalate it and get back to me. I have now emailed him multiple times and have not heard back. Issue is two fold - I have experienced horrible customer service. The phone support gave completely wrong info, and the chat line chewed up my time and then never even replied back. And as for the initial purchase, if the website didn't commit to a delivery date of Aug 9-13, I would not have ordered at that time. I guess I can return to Lenovo at their expense and order again closer to Aug 9th, but that seems to be a waste. What I would like is twofold. I'd like Lenovo to coach their employee ********************* who gave me the email ************************************* he should understand that what he's done is not acceptable. Second - simply extend the return period to the end of August. I assume my daughter will like the ** and keep it, but I'd like her to have the choice when she tries it out.

      I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Lenovo. I ordered a product that was worth just under $200, and to my shock, Lenovo decided it wasn't important enough to require a signature upon delivery. According to their "company policy," any item under $200 can be left on the porch without a signature. I never received my package but they claim it was delivered based on a *** picture. I would never have agreed to such an insecure delivery method had they made this information available.What makes matters worse is the appalling customer service I encountered when trying to resolve this issue. The representatives were unhelpful and dismissive, showing no concern for my lost package. They failed to provide a satisfactory solution or any reassurance that this wouldn't happen again.Lenovo does not make customers aware of this irresponsible policy before shipping, leaving us vulnerable to package theft and loss. This lack of transparency and care for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. I urge anyone considering a purchase from Lenovo to think twice, as their poor policies and customer service will leave you frustrated and out of pocket.
