I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop during their Back to School sale, expecting a great deal due to both a promised price adjustment and a 15% cashback offer from *******. Unfortunately, Lenovo has not honored either commitment, making this experience frustrating and disappointing.Before my order shipped, Lenovo support confirmed that I would receive a price adjustment to lower the laptops price by nearly $200. However, after the laptop shipped, the adjustment was refused, despite written confirmation from their representative. This was already frustrating, but the situation worsened when Rakuten informed me that Lenovo collected the commission for the sale but did not report it to Rakuten, which meant I did not receive the promised cashback either. I have raised these issues with Lenovo multiple times, but no resolution has been *********** this point, the laptop is priced similarly to what I could buy any time of the year, and without the cashback or price adjustment, it no longer feels like a deal at all. Given the hassle Ive experienced, I am considering returning the laptop and taking my business elsewhere.Lenovos failure to honor these commitments, combined with their lack of timely customer support, has left me extremely dissatisfied. I have purchased a legion for around 1750 and also bought extended warranty for around 200 bucks. From the past year Lenovo has not been repairing my laptop always delaying the parts and not fulfilling my replacement request as well. Worst service of all time.Review from Mike A

First time ordering something from Lenovo and I know some custom items may take longer but I ordered something that should be in a sealed box mass production and to have a delivery estimate of over a month is ridiculous in my opinion we live in the time of online ordering how hard is it to take item in a sealed box put in another box with a shipping label and have a carrier pick it up for delivery not complicated should not take over a month ?????Review from Mac M

I was sent two computers (original and replacement), neither of which would connect to my WiFi. I paid extra for premium tech support, which failed to help. I sent back both computers at the beginning of August, and despite their 10 day return policy, I'm still waiting and paying interest everyday. I've contacted them twice, and each time they tell me it'll be a other 5-7 business days. Their customer service is poor, their return policy is incorrect, and I keep getting the runaround. I would highly suggest only buying their items if you don't mind waiting and waiting for a refund on any returns.Lenovo Response

I have never had a more poor customer service experience with a company and I work in customer service...Purchased all the bells and whistles of support and they have provided none of this after a month and hours of my wasted time and efforts... my tickets keep getting closed just to promote their own metrics of success without actually completing the customer service issue at hand. Lenovo knowingly sells faulty/defective products to its customers. There has been evidence of consistent and multiple occurrences of unsecured hardware on certain products that results in and can lead to further physical damage. Please follow the links below for evidence that this is a continuing issue with the manufacture of their products. They have a history of poor-quality manufacturing, particularly concerning their hinges. They have claimed to have fixed the issue, but as of today (August 2024), it persists.When contacting Lenovo concerning repairs, they cite that they are not held responsible due to physical damage, and without an extended warranty, you are essentially out of luck. It is very disconcerting to know that a company like Lenovo, which sells its products to the American population in mass quantities, can continue to operate in this manner and not be held accountable.The products with this issue should be recalled, and Lenovo should be held accountable for repairing it. Terrible customer sales support. I was trying to purchase a certain model laptop while on sale and needed clarification on why a certain discount was not applying. I had different quotes generated and eventually reached a point where I was going to purchase, but the model went out of stock. I was told it would come back in stock so I waited. I occasionally emailed the most recent sales person who helped me checking if it would be back soon and was told he would let me know when it was available again as he was checking. I had to find myself that it was back in stock and reached out to him. By the time communication was returned, price went up significantly and the sales supervisor had reviewed the case. I was told they couldn't do anything about the price and was ghosted on communication.Lenovo Response

Terrible, I thought it was going to be an awesome laptop and without warning it just stopped turning on. No warning, just dead. I was told it is not repairable and I have to replace it, I am a student so I need a laptop. It is just barely 3 years old. This is extremely frustrating, a laptop should last more than three years. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Lenovo. I ordered a product that was worth just under $200, and to my shock, Lenovo decided it wasn't important enough to require a signature upon delivery. According to their "company policy," any item under $200 can be left on the porch without a signature. I never received my package but they claim it was delivered based on a *** picture. I would never have agreed to such an insecure delivery method had they made this information available.What makes matters worse is the appalling customer service I encountered when trying to resolve this issue. The representatives were unhelpful and dismissive, showing no concern for my lost package. They failed to provide a satisfactory solution or any reassurance that this wouldn't happen again.Lenovo does not make customers aware of this irresponsible policy before shipping, leaving us vulnerable to package theft and loss. This lack of transparency and care for customer satisfaction is unacceptable.
