I made arrangements for my things to move from ******, ** to ************. I paid $856 before movers ever came to my home and then was charged an extra $600 and something on top of the $600 I had to pay to the movers for moving the boxes down the stairs and for having a few extra bags that had pillows in them. I was then told that I would have to pay another $1020 before I could even get my stuff back. So I paid $856, on top of $1,020. When I had gotten the call letting me know when the movers would be at my home, I asked how much money I had to give them and when I was told an amount over $600 I asked why it was so high and it was explained to me that the drivers use that money for their drive to transport my belongings. And then to have the drivers add an extra $600 to that. *** made numerous calls and Ive asked for countless help and I still dont know where my things are!Initial Complaint

The moving carrier did not send proper loaders, or lack there of, in return my ******** table was rolled on the side to get to the truck on concrete and damaged beyond repair. Refrigerator door was broken off at hinge, large dent in front as well. In addition, dining chairs were damaged and chipped. Leather on seat was severely scratched and needs replacement. Additional damage was done as well but what good is it. This is a bate and switch moving company that just picks up loads and has no respect for your goods to say the least. Would stay away from this moving transporter.Initial Complaint

I have been trying to resolve this moving claim for 3 months now. They used Beyond Moving LLC to complete my move. In the 3 day window they gave me to start my move, they finally showed up on the 4th day. In the not too exceed arrival at my final destination, they were 4 days agree that. I had several items damaged and 1 complete box missing. I completed the damage claim form. Roughly a month later, they asked me to acknowledge there was no further damage. I was happy to do that until they required me to complete the whole form again, which took about 45 minutes the first time. When I called and left messages no return calls occurred. I would only receive another email stating I needed to complete the form again. My claim was less than $1000 even though the damage was much more. This company wants to wear you down rather than making right their mistakes. Total frustration and disappointment. ??Initial Complaint

I called to book a move on 6/29/23 with a pickup date of 6/30 or 7/1. I was rushed through the call and signing of the papers by the agent ********** who I was never able to reach and never heard from again. I paid a $792 deposit on 6/29. My belongings were not picked up until 7/2 and at that point I was informed that the estimate provided by **** was extremely low so the price of the move increased by over $1,000. At that point I paid $1,150 to the movers at First ****************************************** and agreed to pay the same amount upon delivery. It is now 8/12/23, well beyond the delivery window of 21 business days. I have had several phone conversations with Beyond expressing my concerns over the existence of my belongings and the frustration that they may never be delivered. On 8/3 I was told 3-5 business days but have yet to receive my things or any confirmation that they are secure. The business has repeatedly failed to communicate with me at all, claim they cannot get in touch with the carriers, and have not offered any resolution to this extreme issue beyond sorry. The job number is B7507214. Additionally, the company has continually claimed that my move is long distance and was quoted at ***** miles despite me informing several staff members, **** included, that the door to door distance between my residences is actually around 350 miles.Initial Complaint

This company picked up my items on May 23, 2023 from ************** and delivered them to my new address in ******** on May 29, 2023.For this move, I paid $6,583.76 in total. $1,483.76 went to the moving broker so Beyond Moving and Transportation got paid $5,100.They broke one of my glasses and when I pointed that out, they were just looking at me, saying nothing.Upon delivery, we found that we did not receive a box that had three sets of silverware and dinnerware and a box of envelopes (office supplies). All together, the total value lost are close to $1,000.Loss and damage aren't the only disturbing point. The movers were speaking Spanish. They clearly knew that I understood and spoke Spanish but they constantly using swear words and that was very much uncomfortable.Throughout the entire process of moving, they were not responding to my calls, text messages. They just ignored me the whole time especially after I told them that some items were missing.Once I called them from my work cell, they finally picked up the phone but claimed that they did delivered everything and there was nothing left in the truck. They did not even attempt to check the truck.So far, they just have been ignoring my attempts of communication. Things they lost are wedding gifts and I just want them back.I need them to look for my items. If they can't find them, they should replace them or refund me.Business response

As per our records indicates that there was an increase due to the amount of items that were added upon pickup which would increase the original estimate. This truck was never offloaded it went directly to the delivery destination. I hired this company to move my household things from ** to ************, FL. When they picked up my stuff they claimed I went nearly 2x over the allotted storage despite calculating my estimated sq footage with my inventory. They then charged me an extra $200+ for that space on the truck. THEN I was charged $270 for an extra 3 weeks of storage, which is absolutely asinine, and was given literally no other option but to pay it. I provided a date for them to deliver my things WELL in adva**e, and they said they can take up to 14 business days FROM that date provided. So I have to live with none of my things for an extra 14 business days? Despite giving plenty of notice before they even picked up my belongings? I’ve called twice today alone and was sent to voicemail, and their voicemail box is full. So even if I WANTED to contact the rude people on the other end of the line, I can’t :) this company is absolutely ridiculous and scamming people of their money and time.Initial Complaint

The address on my contract is different but the phone numbers are the same. My contract says the current address is ******************************************************************************************** DOT# ******* ICC?MC # ******** Phone ************ This was the company sent to pack up, move and unpack & reassemble ALL OF MY STUFF by the City Moving Group, which I have already filed a complaint on. The pick up went smoothly except the price was tripled from my quote. The problem is I STILL not received all my stuff, the stuff here is missing parts and a lot is broken. I gave my first availability date as 14 OCT, and here it is NOV 27 and I've only had a partial delivery that came on Nov 15. HUGE ISSUES WITH THIS COMPANY.Prior to leaving ** in SEP I was told I would have my delivery and given the amount of just over $16,248.80 as the amount left to pay. PRIOR to leaving ** I purchased a certified check for $15,000 because they do not take personal checks. Around **** hours on 14 NOV I finally got a call from the driver **** telling me he would be at my house the next morning @ **** for my delivery. He said NOTHING about money at that time. ********************************* is a significant friend who has been helping me was told that morning of 14 NOV that I needed to have $10,000 for the driver before they would deliver. HOW DO YOU GET $10,000 ON THE **** OF THE MOMENT? I had to give them the $15,000 cashiers check and I STILL DON'T HAVE THE REST OF MY STUFF. They have lied repeatedly about a truck leaving ** to come to CA. I've been living in a mess with unpacked boxes and not having communication from EITHER COMPANY about where and when the rest of my stuff will be delivered.I am horrified at the lack of concern or the ability to communicate TRUTHFULLY about the situation. I've had nothing but lies if I could reach someone at all. They don't answer the phone unless they want to talk about more money, like the day I was told I had to have $10,000 THAT DAY.WHO DOES THAT and they could care less about me?Business response

We are sorry to see there were some miscommunication throughout the process with us. We do our best to communicate with customers and set proper expectations. When it comes to inventory increases, the cost is completely up to the customer based on them adding or ************************ items from the inventory list. In this case many items were added and of course the cost would increase. When the movers arrive and the items are not packed or packed poorly, they have to be packed properly in order to be insured. We cannot drive 100's if not 1000's of miles with furniture not properly packed and strapped into the side walls and floors of the truck.
At this time all delivery has been completed as of November 16, 2022 with unpacking of all items.
Again, it is impossible to not have absolutely no damages during a long distance move but we do our best to secure each and every item.We will communicate with the costumer regarding missing and damage items to Provide a compensation accordingly.
If any further questions are needed please reach out to the customer service department as these matters should be able to be resolved within the BBB involved, which we do not participate in their services nor do we aim to please their ratings.

I have hired this company to move my furniture from ******* to ************ on 07/03/2022 and I paid approximately $3200.00 for the job. They kept delaying the pick up date. It is almost impossible to reach out to any person to talk to. If by any chance you get a call back from them after tons of calls,emails, texts and voice messages they never follow up with you. Half of my furniture never arrived, and literally half of the furnitures that arrived are either broken or damaged. I submitted a claim for the lost and damaged items (which are thousand dollars of furniture) and they have agreed to pay 69$ for the lost and damaged items. This is so ridicilous! I hired the moving company to move all of my furniture and personal belongings from J********, GA to ****** Florida the first week of June, 2021. i paid approximately $7500.00 for the job After the moving job was complete, I noticed items including a sofa and chair to be damaged and missing. the approximate value of the damaged and missing items total $3000.00. I submitted a claim with the moving company in September, 2021 as instructed and received notification that my claim was accepted. I kept following up with the moving company but after about a year I have not been compensated and have not received any response from the moving company.
