            I recently reviewed my credit report and noticed that they have 2 bills in my credit report that has been sent to collections these bills were in connection with me as a pedestrian being struck by a vechile that person's insurance company paid all my medical I also had a attorney handling this paperwork was sent to all medical facilities that I had went to Durham Radiology did not request for their portion to be taken when third party billing was given when services were renedered

            My complaint is in regard to negligent billing practices by this company. Immediately following my MRI, this company filed a claim to my insurance using the name "Durham Diagnostic Imaging HEN". My insurance filed my claim using the contract they had with that business name. Then over 1 year later, this business resubmitted that very same claim using a different business name, "Independence Park". My insurance had a different contract with that business name. Billing process negligence on the part of Durham Diagnostic Imaging resulted in me receiving a surprise bill for nearly $1k, over a year after services were rendered. Correct medical billing should be a core competency of a medical diagnostic company. This was handled very poorly, and it is not within my rights as a customer to be responsible for their own billing error over 12 months after my date of service. I plan to contact the state ************* and ombudsman to learn if there is a state statute of limitations for this.
