      First time and last time with AAA. Spent four hours on the side of the road 11 miles outside a major city, had three different updates of different companies that were on the way called in twice, first time was told they would check with tow company and call me back within ten minutes never called back. An hour later I called back and found no one was ever coming to begin with, but they could send someone tomorrow. Oh yeah and did you know that they only tow you for three miles? **** a joke, avoid if youre smart

      This company has basically become so taken over by slow response, lack of help from the 3rd party tow companies they pay poorly, and misinformation on their computer systems, and ruined by inability to respond to their customers needs. They are operating on borderline fraudulent methods when looking at my last 3 attempts for towing. Three calls in for two different drivers and three no shows 3 months in a row. I was a 10 year customer but I'm done because nobody can help me nor ever returned my calls and voicemails.

      On Saturday, July 16 at 4:19 pm I contacted AAA for emergency roadside assistance for our Dodge Ram truck that would not start. After waiting 18 hours for a tow truck I finally gave up on AAA and called a local service station for assistance. I had been parked in the far corner of a parking lot because of the busy weekend, but by 9:30 pm the parking lot was vacant and I was sitting by myself in the dark until my husband could come for me. By the next morning at 9:30 am I was still waiting on a tow truck to be sent for the truck, so if I had waited on AAA it would have been a very dangerous situation for me. Aside from that, I was kept on hold for 25 minutes once before being disconnected and another time 48 minutes before being disconnected and that isn’t counting the other times I was kept on hold during my 10 calls with AAA or the number of times I was transferred around. I have been a member of AAA roadside assistance since I was 16 years old, which is 38 years, and I have always received acceptable service. This recent situation was shocking to me and completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When the driver I hired arrived I asked him why his company does not work with AAA I was told because AAA does not treat the towing companies well. I briefly told him of my experience with AAA that weekend and he informed me that in the past several months he has heard increasing numbers of similar experiences. AAA has always had a stellar reputation for their emergency roadside assistance, and I hope that drastic changes are made so that these recent events are not continued. My trust in and expectation of AAA right now is extremely low.
