******* Construction was hired in August of 2024 to do a remodel on our home to complete painting from top to bottom, bathroom remodel, painting of kitchen cabinets. The work was completed however unsatisfactory quality, multiple imperfections or just poor quality of work. The issue came when the final walk through was completed and due to overspray from painting the walls and dust from plaster repair this ruined the original hardwood floors in every single room in the house. ***** subcontracts his work through a gentleman named **** ******. The destruction of the hardwoods was pointed out to **** who only offered the solution to say he would charge an additional ***** dollars to refinish the floors that he and his crew messed up by not adequately covering them during the remodel period. Paper was laid down in various spots but there were often tears found in the paper or just inadequate covering to begin with. **** offered no reasonable solution to this, even saying "your floors didnt even look good to begin with". We simply wanted a solution to trying to repair the floors or have a reduction in the final amount which was owed due to the destruction of the floors. However in return we received threats of having a lien placed on the house due to failure to pay. Our intent was not to withhold final payment but wanted to come to a fair decision on what could be done to remedy this issue. Just wanting to make others aware that ******* Construction is not an actual general contractor he only operates under an LLC, along with the poor quality of work and shoddy business practices him and his subcontractors display. Use caution when employing them for your remodeling

6/10/2022 our home was purchased. In mid July/early August Kiehl's Construction was hired to completey remodel our kitchen/dinning room and add a laundry room addition. 1) Dryer vent installed is held together under the back porch with duck tape 2) Backing on kitchen island is not even on both sides- will now need some sort of trim to hide the gap. 3) Cabinet set down on NEW glass top stove by worker scrachted the top. Worker provided stove top cleaner for this issue. Scratch is still there 4) Sink installed incorrectly and a unpainted trim piece was nailed to cabinets that does not even cover the gab between the cabinet and sink 6) Flooring not fully snapped together in certain areas and completey comes apart in 2 sections where walls were removed. ***We asked Chris to come to our home and talk with us so we could show him our concerns and we were told to just tape it off so the worker could address it.*** Was told by the worker himself that the floors would need to be taken up, corrected and put back down. Nothing was ever done to fix this 8) Cabinets doors not lined up 9) The top of the opening for fridge is 36inches and the bottom is 35 1/4. We sent a letter of damages to Chris after his worker told us we needed a profesional to complete the backsplash installation. We thought we hired a licenced professional... We asked for $5,000 back of the money we spent to fix these issues and complete the backsplash. Chris stated that $5,000 was too much money and he agreed to half ($2,500). We agreed to that amount because at that point, recieveing something was better than nothing. Chris has then ignored any response to meet and collect that reimbursment. He is now stating that we are slandering and harrasing him even though no reviews good or bad have been left and we have only reached out to Chris in regards to the work HIS COMPANY performed. We are only seeking the money that he has already agreed to even though it's been proven the damages far exceed that.
