My belongings are 11 days late. I moved from ********** to ********* and was told the pod would be here on July 3rd. After 6 reschedules no one could tell me where my things were. I finally found out they were in ******** with no eta. WTF. They already took final payment 8 days ago but still no belongings. I highly recommend not using this company.Review from John F

I have used Zippy Shell on multiple occasions: 2022, 2020, and 2018. They were great the first two times 5 stars, but the most recent move in 2022 has required me to downgrade them to a single star. The first two times they had movers disassemble and wrap the furniture. The third time, they outsourced to College Hunks and they didn't do anything with the furniture, no tools, or anything. Their legal excuse was that the contract states furniture wrapping was my responsibility. Attempted to offer me a few hundred dollars not to write a bad review. In my opinion, the pods are still a good price for moving but do not hire their moving services. Then again, there are other pod services out there.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC Response

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Booked my container online (as they promote you to do). So after booking getting a date set and confirmation that everything was set to go. I book my movers, and everything is in place. The day my container was to be delivered I received a call early morning that they forklift is down and they will have to reschedule until the next day. Representative stated that they will call me a hour ahead of time. Frustrated what can I do but say okay. The following day. The whole day went by almost I was busy but no call or show from pack rats, so I call them. All to be told from one representative that the driver was to call me a hour ahead of my delivery time while was AM (mind you I didnt pick a time I left the window open for them to choose) so she goes on to say it was pass the time for the driver to had been there and that she will transfer me over to her superior once we are done with the call. After being transferred and speaking with a manager I was told that forklift was still down and they had absolutely no knowledge how long it would take to get fixed you talking about ANGRY, UPSET AND UNACCEPTABLE. Pack rat is a scam. They quote you one price and then charge you significantly more ($500.). Go with Pods. We used them twice without incident. Pack Rat sales team is untrustworthy and the customer service teams lies to your face.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC Response

If there was a choice for 0 stars that would reflect a more accurate rating for my experience. For starters the night before they were suppose to deliver our container I get a text "Hello, this is 1-800-pack-rat. Unfortunately our driver will not be able to make it tomorrow we reschedule for Thursday. Sorry for the inconvenience" - 7:22pm After threatening legal action and repayment for our flights, hotel etc since we moved from ******* WA to **********. They texted back we found a driver to drop it off. It arrived hours after our agreed upon time. The corner protector that blocks water or rodents from getting in fell off while he was delivering it. Luckily he saw it happen grabbed it and I had to help reassemble with the driver. I checked the other bolts and they were all very loose as well. My wife and I got the container packed up that day and waited for it to be picked up the next morning like agreed upon... Yet again I get a text right before boarding the plane to AZ saying "sorry driver ran out of hours and will get it tomorrow" That was Thursday 6/27, 6/28 (my birthday btw) I get another text saying "sorry can't get it today but will have a driver out there tomorrow" 6/29 - Same text, I wait on hold 30 min and got transferred 4 times to have them say sorry we will send a driver tomorrow. Apparently it got picked up on 6/30 but no one told me or confirmed it. I had to call in again on hold for 30+ min and yet again transferred 3 times. At this point it's suppose to arrive at my home in AZ 7/12 but reallyI have little to no faith I'll ever see my stuff again. If that is the case I have a best friend who's a VERY good litigator and LOVES sticking it to bad businesses that s**** over their customers :)1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC Response

We had an unexpectedly rushed closing on our house so I called around to see who could deliver a pod next day. The 1-800-pack-rat salesman told me that it would be no problem so we ordered a storage pod to be delivered the 25th and removed the 28th (day of closing.) We had a whole crew waiting to load it on the 25th and the driver was a no-show, no-call. I was furious, the customer service rep was apologetic and pretended to not know how this could have happened with their dispatch. But then 3 days later they were no-show, no-call for the pick up as well. THEN they called on a Saturday morning at 7:30 am demanding that I be present for the pickup and needed to be there within 15 minutes. I, of course, wasn't there at the empty house; we had moved already moved out!!! I ended up yelling at the poor driver who was sweet and I know it's not his fault, customer service was apologetic, but apparently no-one has any control of their dispatch. My experience with 1-800-Pack-Rat was excellent. Our move was a very stressful time, and we had to be out of our home by a certain date or lose a large amount of money. PackRat went above and beyond to make it happen. I am so grateful to them. Every driver we had was friendly & put the container where they were supposed to. I used zippy shell for my move which is a part of 1800 packrat. I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of transparency regarding additional fees. I was told by my initial sales rep that my grand total move was going to be 3k all-in. I was NOT ONCE made aware of additional charges for an elevator and a long haul (no feet were listed as what is considered a long haul). After the movers finished loading I was then hit with two $75 charges. It is absolutely ridiculous to charge for an elevator as you would assume that it would be a convenience compared to stairs. But beware if you are about to complete your move, that was not the only additional charge that was listed. On top of it, I was never told the container would be mesh and exposed. The website does not detail this either. I wouldve never chosen them if I knew this. My dresser has paint scratches from rubbing against the mesh. They also stated I could put my own lock on it. I have two types of standard locks. None of them fit on my container so I had to ship long distance completely unlocked. It was the most anxiety filled 8-10 days as I waited for the delivery. If you want a better, more affordable container moving company, consider Red Rover in ** or Pods. Have only had good experiences with them.1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC Response

One of the worse companies to deal with. I will never use them again and I will let my friends and family know as well. Long hold times on the phone (>1 hour), **************** people lack the ability to answer simple questions. My wife had to spell our name 5 times!! I order a container, was told by their driver that all I had to do was contact them and they would pick it up within a week.. Not true. Have to wait at least 2 weeks for pickup. So now I have an empty container sitting in my driveway. VERY bad website as well. Customer is always wrong according to Pack Rat.
