At 138k, my engine was overhauled by autoworks. They also replaced the thermostat, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the pan gasket, and redid the timing. At 140k, the thermostat had to be replaced. At around 143k, the oil pan started leaking AND I heard a terrible grinding and clicking noise, took it to a mechanic and found out that the bolt holding the timing chain idler sprocket had completely backed out and let the inner timing chain wear against the outer timing chains tensioner guide. Now this means that within 5k miles, almost everything they did to my car failed. When i called them to ask if they could fix it the first time, they replied that its been more than 6 months and that I was out of luck. Once I had taken it to the mechanic to get it diagnosed, I called again with the specifics of the problem. I was told the same thing. I even offered to pay, and asked if there were a discount they could give me on it. They said Id pay full parts and labor like everybody else.A bolt backing out in the timing cover is NOT normal wear and tear, its negligence, and in warranty or not should have been covered 100% by simple virtue of integrity. Now whether they bought sub-par parts or did sup-par work, they refused to stand by either. After I called them, I contacted the better business bureau to file a claim against them, and they have now ignored both attempts by the BBB to contact them.I would love to see them stand by their work and then I could change this review to 5 stars, but it really feels like pulling teeth at this point. They completely ignored the investigation I filed with the better business bureau. The engine seized less than a month after I posted this review originally. Less than 5k miles from their rebuild, and the engine was completely toast.
