We purchased a used 2009 ***** Odyssey handicap, wheelchair accessible van as is for my wheelchair bound mother. We asked about a carfax report and were shown a report that showed no accidents and only 1 owner. Recently, we had to take the van into a ***** dealership for a steering problem. The ***** mechanic advised that the front driver strut broke due to rust. The whole undercarriage was completely rusted out. Not repairable or drivable. While inspecting the undercarriage we discovered that it had been painted over, seemingly to disguise the rust. We decided to pay for our own carfax report and discovered that our van, had been in a moderate accident and had 4 owners, which is different from what we were shown at the time of purchase. The business' website states they only sell rust free southern vehicles and do a 131-point mechanical inspection and must pass North Carolina's rigorous safety and emissions inspection before resale. We do not believe that this vehicle would legally pass a thorough inspection as described on the website. In addition the website is advertising a 2009 ***** odyssey van using photographs of the exact van that we purchased, but with a different vin# We paid for the carfax report on this advertised van and discovered that it had 1 owner and no accidents. Our theory is that this is the report we were initially showed. We believe this qualifies as deception at best and illegal bait and switch at worse. Ive started looking at goggle reviews and have seen at least 3 other victims with very similar situations. We believe this dealership is taking advantage of not only the handicap, but also financially disadvantaged people who can only afford older, less expensive vehicles, knowing they probably dont have the means physically, mentally, or financially to fight back. We had to sell two of our vehicles to purchase this van and are now completely without transportation. We have contacted the dealership/owner several times, with no response

On 8/23/2024 Vantastic Mobility cashed our check for $39,500 and arranged to ship a wheelchair accessible van to western NY. In early September the van arrived damaged. The shipper damaged the truck. The truck is finally in the shop now but has not yet been able to be used. Our disabled daughter is still without transportation 3 months later. Renting a wheelchair accessible van is very expensive. Vantastic Mobility (**** and ****) were contacted immediately when the truck arrived and shown the damage. We attempted to get insurance information from them but never did. It appears they shipped the truck with a shipper who did not have cargo insurance -despite telling us all shippers must have insurance. Our insurance needs this information to pursue recouping their cost. Attempts to get more information from them were futile. They did not respond to calls or emails. At this point, I would like to have the insurance information from Vantastic Mobility so I can give it to my agent. Vantastic Mobility should not be profiting for delivering a truck that is still not able to be used 3 months after delivery and is not in the condition promised in the contract. And they should not have been shipping a truck without ensuring insurance coverage. I feel that other potential buyers should be aware of the business practices with Vantastic Mobility. If you need more information I can be contacted at ************ and *******************

On May 16, 2022 I purchased a RIGHT HAND DRIVE Jeep through Vantastic Mobility out of ******* North Carolina.I purchsed the jeep they said would transport it to me a week went by and heard nothing I reached out to them only to find out I needed to pay the transportation fee that was never informed of before and was told was a dollar a mile. The sales lady *********************** sent me a link to pay and it only shows 500 dollars I payed that another week goes by still no Jeep I reached out again and was told I did not pay enough and was still 496 doallrs short on transportation fee. ***** messes up when sent me payment link and did not put correct amount. I was furious and she said I needed to speak with owner. I tried calling owner with number that was provided the owner did not answer and to this day has not returned my call. So i asked to get the 500 back I paid for the transportation and I would drive from **** ******** and pick up the Jeep and I would drive the vehicle I was trading in to them. So then was told that would work and when asked for refund was told only the owner could issue the refund and he was in ******* open another car lot. Again tried to call owner and no answer even texted the owner no response. So spoke w sales lady again and she said she tried to see what she could do finally 2 days later got refund. Drove down picked up Jeep. I traded ** my 2018 Equinox and car lot was to pay off it took over 30 days for them to do that and I had to email, text and call them and stay on them till was done took like 45 days. I occured a late fee because of them taking so long to pay off. Then I was informed the sales tax would be financed in w purchase and they would send me a check for sales tax to tag vehicle. ***** the sales rep said she would send me the fed ex tracking number when was sent. I still have not received I have text messages to show . Now there saying they are not sending me a check and never was. Now it beyond past time I have to tag it.

I am rejecting this response because: yes after over 2 months the owner finally answered the phone for me. Nothing has been resolved he states paperwork is wrong for a 3rd time and my payment on contract I have should be double what is. We have not spoken since because he will no longer respond to me. I have not been able to make second payment on jeep because they won't tell me what or how to pay. Have not received title or letter from them to be able to tag jeep. So I'm still driving illegally because I don't have paper work to be able to tag it. I tried to finance with my bank I use and get away from them but my bank won't because they think something not right. Now all I can do is set and wait. They won't send me correct paperwork won't return mytexts or calls again. I have only had 2 conversations with owner since I last responded to bbb. Now I can't get them to respond. So I'm worried there gonna just show up and take jeep and it's only vehicle I have now and it's literally my job as I'm a mail carrier. So I do not know what to do. Thanks

    Sincerely,
