My daughter was accepted by the campus to attend school after the move in date. While on a zoom call with Mrs. ***** , my daughter was told that she had to go on a wait list for housing in which my husband and daughter was concerned due to the paper stating that the money paid would not be refundable if housing was not available. Mrs. ***** stated that if housing was not available in 3 weeks we could get our money back by the housing department being able to override the issue the system and grant a refund, there were people in my house who can attest to this statement. The money never was refunded and I tried to get the issue resolved and to no avail nobody has been there to assist other than Mrs. L*****; whom helped my daughter before she withdrew from school due to having an anxiety attack on campus due to nobody assisting her along with being scared, lost on campus and nobody being there for her. I was told by Mr. Shyheim ***** via phone the money will be returned on 9/15/22 and it was not refunded. No services were rendered for my money to be taken and not returned . Again this was after my daughter was accepted late into the university and right before move in date .Business response

Good morning Ms. ****,
Thank you for your correspondence. First, I would like to say thank you for sharing this information with me. Secondly, our housing agreement clearly states that the Housing Application Fee and Ramdition Fee are not refundable. I have placed a screenshot down below for you. You should note that the complaint student selected the box indicating that she read and understand the policy.
However, in a wish to be a good partner and work through the noted complaint. A refund for a $150.00 was issued this morning via the card that the complaint used to make payment. It is my hope that this matter will be considered resolved and the institution will remain in good standing. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept it the money being refunded. I don’t see where there is a signature in the document . The persons who accepted this document lied to my daughter so it make me wonder if they will truly uphold their end of the bargain which is that they are willing to refund some of the funds. Housing was not available to my child and upon payment they stated the money would be refunded if there was no housing. I guess this is as good as it will get due to trying to stand up to a university.
