I applied for a loan with spot loan, for $600 with an understanding it had a 4.9% interest rate. The fine print was thatit actually was 490%. Three weeks later the loan is now $1795. Payment subsequently were submitted to my checking account every two weeks deducting a percentage rate that is considered territorial lending, and this company is under legal reviewand has been sued in class action suits. Currently, I am unable to pay the total amount, even though I am providing them with the fundsto do so. I am unable to access my account and correspondence go unanswered yet the Spot loan company continues to add interest to the original $600 principal.Business Response

I took out a loan with three sticks lending but didnt realize their interest exceeded my states (*******) limit on loan interest till after I signed the loan. **** a $500 loan with this company with a 490% interest rate. They violate Indianas usury laws and arent even license to operate in *******. I have already made 2 103$ payments on this and they want almost 1800$ for it to be paid in full. They already have a lawsuit against them highlighting their rent a tribe scheme where they use a tribal name and pay that tribe so that they can give out illegal loans. They are not owned/operated by a tribe and do not operate on tribal land which makes this loan illegal and unenforceable. I want my two payments to be applied to the principal where I would only have 294$ left on my principal to pay. If this matter is not settled, I will be contacting my states attorney general to further this matter.Business Response

I took a $600 loan out and have made the following payments totaling $687.48 - 1/14, 2/11, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25. The balance is ****** and the APR is 490%. This is an illegal tribal loan whose interest rates exceed what is allowed by MT. This is insane. I have paid more than the balance but owe more than the loan. Predatory!Business Response

This is an illegal tribal lender whose interest rate exceeds what is allowable by MT state law. They have been reported to the appropriate organizations. As stated I have more than paid back the loan but owe more than the original loan. This is a predatory lender, illegal interest rate. I have paid down some of the loan, but now I am dealing with a lot more at home and with my family than I care to discuss on here. And would like for this loan to be closed and they can keep whatever money I have already paid them. Last month I took out a loan with this company all done on my phone which I cant hardly see and later learned the Interest was 460%. I recently lost my job and contacted this company to settle the principal amount with them and they refused to help. Seem like they are focused on fleecing Americans with criminal interest rates that violate state law, they claim they dont have to abide by that because they are tribal but I am in **** and never went there. All I asked for was some compassion and assistance in settlement as I am trying hard to avoid bankruptcy and they refused. I have sent countless emails to try and work this out.Business Response

In November of 2024 I got into an accent and totaled my car and was injured I informed them of this and in December I gave them my bank account information for my other account because everything was left in my totaled car and was missing and as I was without a car it would be easier to get to my other credit union. Now in February 4th I received a call saying the didnt receive a payment in 71 days I advised I gave yall my bank account information in December if u guys had it wrong could be the only explanation because I dont have anything being returned and Im looking in my bank account I gave the lady the bank account information she said they were sending emails I didnt see any but then checked my spam and the emails were going there. I asked her about the email that was sent giving option to pay ************************************************************************************ thats not anymore. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Im trying to get this paid off early but to say its not no more when that was an option is unfair.Business Response

I have given this company copious amounts of money. I have taken out 14 loans with them and paid them off completely each time with tons of extra money since their APR is 490%. I have been apparently lucky to have 99% APR this time since being a loyal preferred customer. I have asked for help with this last loan. Requesting a hardship due to medical bills and decrease in income. No help. Just a one time courtesy 30 day freeze. I hung up crying. Company claims to want to be helpful but is harsh. I need this loan gone and closed. I want no relationship. I thought they would help but there seems to be none. Its outrageous that they think 99% is doing me any type of favor. They are destroying me and I have no choice since I have no credit for any other type of normal loan with an appropriate APR. They prey on people like me who need help and have no credit or poor credit. Its so upsetting and defeating. Truly confusing to find out if its even legal to have such a high APR with research Ive done. I can only hope for the best outcome when researching what else I can do in this situation that Im in with SpotLoan.Business Response
