We purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Feb 2021. We were told it has 10yr warranty while buying. With in 3years we noticed the bed is sagging and result of it we undergoing bad back pains. When we contacted NFM, they asked us to contact Tempur-Pedic as its their product and NFM cannot do anything about this. When contacted Tempur-Pedic, they mentioned because we are not using Tempur-pedic suggested base, we are experiencing these issues with mattress. While buying, no one from NFM mentioned us it is mandatory to use Tempur-Pedic suggested base only. We trusted NFM, so bought it in the store. NFM should have informed us about specific base to be used. Now its like we wasted $3699 on this mattress.Review from Nick U

I purchased the "Crestview Collection Zambia Sideboard in Black" Credenza from Nebraska Furniture and was initially pleased with the design. However, within a week of use, we noticed fine sawdust accumulating on the tile beneath the unit. We thought it might be due to regular use, but the sawdust kept appearing every few days. Recently, we closely inspected the furniture with a flashlight and discovered pin-sized holes directly above where the sawdust was found. These holes are consistent with those caused by wood-boring insects. To clarify, there are no termites or pests in our home—we have our property professionally treated quarterly for prevention. The issue is clearly isolated to the furniture itself. Despite reporting this issue to Nebraska Furniture Mart, they refused to take any action or offer a replacement, citing the elapsed time since purchase. This is incredibly disappointing, as this is clearly a product defect that poses potential risks to homes and other furniture. I strongly urge Nebraska Furniture Mart to stand by their products and address such issues appropriately. For prospective buyers, I recommend thoroughly inspecting any furniture before bringing it into your home and reconsidering purchasing from a retailer unwilling to resolve such serious matters.Review from Quint B

The mart has terrible customer service. Mrs. B would roll over in her grave. I purchased a fridge. It broke down within a few days. I called the mart and they sent me directly to GE. GE messed up the call and sent the tech to the wrong address. I called the tech. He said too bad. Call GE or the mart. I called the mart. They said too bad call GE. I explained that this was their error and that my freezer would be broken for another week at minimum. They said too bad. Can't help. They are too big. I hope another large appliance dealer comes into our area and gives them competition that they need. Mrs. B would fire them all.Review from Abigail H

Spent over 600$ and used the NFM card. When making payments online that took the account and had the funds I was notified 3 weeks later by mail that there was a problem and I was charged 40 extra dollars. Still have yet to receive my money back for the 40$ charge. Customer service is nothing but dismissive and rude. Will not continue to shop and would never recommend. Zero stars if I could.Review from Heidi K

want to share the nightmare I’ve had dealing with Whirlpool and Nebraska Furniture Mart. I bought a clearance fridge from Nebraska Furniture Mart for my elderly parents, who live on a fixed Social Security income. I was told the fridge had no issues and was only returned because the previous customer changed their mind. Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely false. Shortly after, I left town, and when I returned, my parents told me the fridge wasn’t working properly. The food in the refrigerator section kept freezing, while the freezer section wasn’t cold enough to keep ice cream solid. Since May, I’ve been in constant contact with Whirlpool and Nebraska Furniture Mart. They’ve sent technicians repeatedly and even replaced a part, yet the same issues persist. Now, they claim the fridge is “working as designed” and instructed us not to put food on the top shelf to avoid freezing. I’ve purchased fridges before and have never been told I couldn’t use all the shelves. After this experience, I’ll never buy from Whirlpool or Nebraska Furniture Mart again. My parents can’t afford to waste food with the rising cost of groceries, and every week I have to call Whirlpool, wait on hold for over an hour, only to be told the same excuses. They even warned they would charge me $75 for another technician visit. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, and the lack of accountability from both companies is unacceptable.Review from Kurt T

We purchased a white couch from NFM and the salesperson sold us on the Trade Square protection plan because it included a free cleaning. This was a complete lie, as Trade Square has refused to provide the free cleaning. When bringing the issue up with NFM they said "well that's insurance company's for you". Stay away from any protection plan they try to sell you. NFM advertises Trade Square to have a 4.5 rating but if you Google their actual review summary their rating you will see it's a 1.1 rating. We've spent ten of thousands with NFM and felt completely lied to and taken advantage of just to pad their pockets.Nebraska Furniture Mart Response

I am sorry to hear about this issue and understand it is a disappointing situation. NFM as the retailer sells the product on SquareTrades behalf however, the warranty service and guidelines are handled through their company directly. If you could please reach out to us by phone at 1-800-359-1200 extension 22445 or email at [email protected] we would be happy to see which plan you purchased and if you should have that coverage. Thank you in advance.Review from Laura D

I purchased a faux leather chaise lounge in Aug 2019 form the store at The Colony in Texas. I was sold a protection plan for $99 and was told it was good for 5 years and if not used in 5 years, the amount paid was refundable. Well, 5 years has passed so I called NFM and Guardsman (who provided the coverage) and neither company states they will provide a refund of the amount. I have purchased many items from NFM and having salespeople who lie is not something I will be returning for.Nebraska Furniture Mart Response

I apologize the protections plans are non-refundable if outside 30 days with NFM. If you cancel a protection plan it is pro-rated from the date your items are delivered and there is an additional service fee. This would be handled through the extended warranty directly. I am sorry for the confusion.Customer Response

Thank you for replying. I want to ensure you there is no confusion on my end. Your salespeople are purposely mis-leading consumers to buy protection plans with false information they are refundable.Review from Jane R

Received my furniture August 9 th 2024 however the big couch had no legs come with it. I put in a request that day for replacement legs. It’s now 10/18/2024 and still no legs!!!! We have already gone past the date they gave me for them to come and I have called several times with no help. My daughter bought a dryer from there and 2 months later it’s not heating. She is also working on getting her issue fixed. I would not recommend anyone get anything from this store!!!!!!Nebraska Furniture Mart Response

I am sorry to hear about these issues. We would be happy to check the status of the part order for you. It can take 8-12 weeks to ship depending on the manufactures stock availability and transportation. I am sorry to hear your daughter's dryer is not heating. We would need to refer her to the manufacture as NFM does not service appliances. This is handled through the manufacture of the products directly. We can be reached by calling 1-800-359-1200 extension 22445, email at [email protected] or by chat at www.nfm.com.Review from TrophySue

My husband and I purchased what we thought was a new LG refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart on 12/31/22. We recently had cooling issues with the refrigerator 9/7/2023 and called a LG for a repair and they sent their repairman, John E*******. When he started looking at the refrigerator he said someone had previously made a repair to the refrigerator. He also asked how long had we owned it, we told him and he said it was a 2018 model! When we bought the refrigerator the salesman informed us as we were making the purchase that they had just sold the last one. He then offered that we could purchase the floor model at a reduced price. So we purchased it because my husband like the options on that model of refrigerator. We have contacted NFM customer service but we just get an auto reply that it is no longer under warrtanty. The warranty is not our issue! The point is they sold us an old refrigerator that had been returned and repaired when we thought we were buying a new appliance! Why would we go to NFM to purchase a appliance that is 4 years old! My husband and I are senior citizens and I feel they thought they could pass this off on us. Which they did which makes matters worse. We feel deceived by a company that advertises customer service. We are still going to pursue their customer service but would like to warn others of their deceitful practices.Nebraska Furniture Mart Response

Thank you for your feedback. This refrigerator has only been on NFMs floor as a sample model and has not been used so there would be no service or service record for the item. I am not sure why the technician would state that misinformation and apologize for any inconvenience. I will be happy to go ahead and email you directly. Thank you and have a great day.Customer Response

I received this reply and asked them to contact me. I called the store when I had no response on 10/25/2024, was connected to Beth a store manager in CHAT help line. She replied that all of our correspondence must go through BBB. Still don't see any reply nor have a had a reply about our refrigerator.Review from Omari R

Always issues at NFM, whether it is broken furniture, used electronics, or shipping wrong items. I purchased an iPhone 16 pro max with accessories , and ended up receiving an empty iPhone box. Called nfm and they required a police report which is fine, supplied all information they requested, still haven't seen my refund or a return label for the accessories since I have no phone. Knowing NFM stole the iPhone which is trackable or just sent an empty box in general, I wasn't even offered any solution for my inconvenience. It's always an issue here , if you're not shopping for clearance items, stay far away. They have bad customer service and terrible credibility.
