AAA Auto Policy: ************  12/27/24 Friday 5:13 pm, I called to cancel my high auto insurance with AAA because I previously bought a much lower rate with Geico through Oracle. I told her I wanted the overlap in insurance to stop at 11:59 pm, today. My insurance is due 12/28/24 & I want all my money back (128.34) since I paid early. She tried to include the 28th but I said I want the coverage to expire today. I only need 1 day of double coverage. I was assured she did it. I checked the AAA website & found she didn't do as I asked. I called back at 5:44 pm explaining the error. She said she couldn't correct it. I asked for a supervisor. She returned saying there were no supervisors but she would leave a note to have it corrected & I should call back tomorrow. I called Saturday (tomorrow) 12/28/24. The lady said she took a look & it shows I canceled on the 28th. I told her I canceled on the 27th. She said they have to charge a $5 installment fee & taxes. I told her I don't have any installments & at $5, taxes are nowhere near $4 since I was only getting $119.26 back. She said I canceled on the 28th & she can't change anything. I asked for a supervisor & she stated there were none. I said I'll report this to the BBB.

I called AAA on 8/6/24 to cancel my membership as I bought a new car that includes Roadside service. They refuse to cancel the membership and give me a refund, even though I will no longer be using their service. They said it renewed 6/15 and will be active through 6/15/25, but I do not need this service any more.

In 2023 we joined AAA because our car's warranty had just expired. This year in March it automatically deducted money from our checking account. I called to cancel and they gave us the AAA Plus to keep us. We just bought a new vehicle and a warranty which covers free towing and roadside assistance. I called AAA today in Bellevue Twin Creek and they said they would only reimburse us if we were deceased. I don't know if he was joking or not however, he did offer to do that to give us our money back. I told him I was unaware of that stipulation and if he could send that to me via email. He couldn't show me where it said that and directed me to customer assistance. We only want the remaining cost credited.

My son had an emergency in a snow storm, on interstate 70, Mike marker 8 in KS on the night of Dec 26th/27th, 2023. My son ***** ********* was driving on the interstate in the snow and slid into a ditch around 10pm MST and he entered a motorist help request into AAA. About an hour later I called to speak to a person and they said they had the request. Another hour went by and my son put in another request and then I called and the representative said they had no tow trucks available but they saw the second request for help. The roads were passable because cars were driving by. Finally 4 HOURS LATER, a passing by car must have called the police because a policeman came by at 2am and called a tow truck who immediately came out and pulled my son’s car out of the ditch in a freezing snow storm. We had to pay $300+$12 fee out of pocket for this tow truck since AAA never came. I would like a payment from AAA for $312 for a cost we never should have had to pay. That’s why we pay AAA to help in emergency situations.

AAA is compromised of several different clubs across the country that provide services to AAA members.  *** ********* is a member of the Auto Club Group in Florida.  The roadside service assistance event took place on December 26 and 27 in Kansas, which is serviced by another AAA club.  We are reimbursing our member, *** ********r for her out-of-pocket expense that she incurred when securing her own roadside assistance and will report this to the Kansas club so they may investigate the incident and address the matter with their service delivery teams.

On August 20, 2023, an insured customer of AAA Insurance (The Auto Club Group), struck my building causing thousands of dollars in damage. A claim was filed against the insurance of the driver, AAA Insurance (The Auto Club Group). The work to restore the building has been completed by the contractor that originally constructed the building. All receipts and bills were submitted to receive payment for the completed work. I have tried multiple times to contact the claims adjuster, ******** *******, to receive the payment. I sent the bills and receipts by email on November 22nd, to which she never replied. I followed up with a phone call on December 1st and left a voicemail. She never replied. I called again on November 4th. She never replied. I called again on December 5th. She never replied. I finally called another number and got a different claims adjuster. After speaking to him, Jennifer replied with an email that everything had been sent over for review on December 5th and she would hopefully follow up by the end of that week. She never replied. I called and emailed on December 19th. The phone call was not answered and I have not received a reply to the email. I would like to escalate this claim to someone that will actually do their job, but getting through to a manager has been impossible.

The claim payment was first issued on 121323. Unfortunately, it was sent to an incorrect address. Our claim representative has since been in communication with *** ****** Today the correct address was obtained. A stop payment is being placed on the first check and once processed the payment will be re-issued and sent to the correct address. We apologize for the issues experienced. Please contact *** ******* if you have any additional questions. Thank you, AAA-The Auto Club Group

I am rejecting this response because:  Once I finally was able to get in contact with ** *******, only after threats of filing complaints, the payment they tried to issue was for a third less than the cost to repair the damage.

      Sincerely,

We just returned home from a vacation ***************. On Monday Aug 29th at 8:00pm Pacific time we had a tire blowout on ******-mile marker *** by *****************. We called AAA and first went through the IVR which said it couldn't help me because it couldn't find ******. I then called back and asked to speak to an operator. After explaining my situation and providing a great deal of information about my exact location *************, the operator gave me service request #*****. She also told me it would be at least 3 hours before someone could come help us - keep in mind we were in the middle of nowhere, on a dark highway. I received a text at 8:09pm confirming my service request. About an hour later a tow truck driver stopped by to ask if we needed help. He was from **************, and he said he helps AAA. He asked that I call AAA in order to give him the authority to help us. When I called back, to my surprise I was told they couldn't help me because, I quote "I am not in the state of ********" so they would have to transfer me. The next operator said the service order was cancelled because I wasn't in **!!! After a long conversation that went nowhere the tow truck driver agreed to help us without support from AAA. Interestingly at 1:11 a.m. pacific time I received a voicemail (I was sleeping at that time) it said "Hello my name is xxx and I am calling from AAA dispatch. I was just calling to go ahead and let you know that your call is currently past and right now and that means the service provider who is assigned to your call in the area is not going to be able to assist so we are going to find a shop that can assist....". Of course, this was 5 hrs. after the service request was opened. Then on Sep 1st at 2:08pm I received a text saying "Great news! Your AAA driver is pulling up now." - that was 3 days later. Our understanding from the operator on Aug 29th is that the service request was canceled, I guess it wasn't. All I can say is thank God f

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/10/03) */ We are unable to reach Ms. ******** via telephone/email due to her request for no further contact. In the event they contact us, we will resolve the matter directly with them. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/10/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do want AAA to contact me at **************. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact them directly and there is no easy way to call with an issue. Interestingly there are only published numbers so you can buy or add their services. When I originally called when we had our car problems and I wanted to speak to someone directly I was transferred to multiple individuals until I finally got frustrated and hung up. Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/10/15) */ We spoke with Ms. ******** on 10/14/2022 via telephone and the matter was resolved to her satisfaction. Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2022/10/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) AAA has agreed to provide a credit for this coming years membership. In addition, they agreed to contact the tow truck company to thank them for assisting me and will also have a discussion with the agent who ***************** would not provide us assistance.

Been a member of AAA for ** years and received a letter declining to renew our family membership due to what they refer to as excessive service. So they sell us a plan to help with auto emergencies with no cap on using the service other then milage caps and to cancel our contract because we had the audacity to use a service we pay for.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/25) */ AAA - The Auto Club Group reviews membership data and carefully examines the types and frequency of road service requests received from its members. Road service requests are limited to four (4) per member, per year. In cases of extreme use of services, ACG may elect to not renew a membership pursuant to the AAA Membership Handbook, which states: Your annual AAA Membership renews each year unless you are notified at least 60 days before the expiration date that your membership will not be renewed. Please know that we do not make non-renewal decisions lightly and careful review goes into each decision before a membership is non-renewed. As such, ACG takes this action in order to continue to operate efficiently for all of our members. This decision is final and cannot be appealed.
