  I was scammed out of $15 by ordering through Oriental Trading. I was looking for alternatives to Amazon and thought I had found my new go-to website for crafts. I was surprised this week to see a charge from them, after not ordering anything in over a month. After reaching out, I found out that this is a "rewards" program I was automatically signed up for. There was no alert, opt-in, opt-out, or other noticable indication that I would be charged for a "rewards" program after my purchase. I was able to get email confirmation that this "rewards program" was cancelled moving forward, but I was still scammed out of $15 this month. I'm extremely disappointed in this company and will not be using them again.

  I will never be shopping at Oriental Trading Company again! I purchased a large box of items a couple months ago for my husband's 40th birthday party. Upon reviewing my credit card statement last week, I noticed a charge for about $15 from a 1-800 number that I did not authorize. I had to do some digging to figure out who the charge was associated with. Apparently, there is a "rewards program" attached to Oriental Trading Company that you have to pay $15 a month for, however, I NEVER consented to be in this program or to have my credit card charged monthly for it. When I called the customer service number to complain, I was treated extremely rudely, told that "nothing could be done" for me, and was hung up on. I had to call back and specifically ask for a a supervisor in order to get reassurance that the charge would be reversed and that I would be un-enrolled. When I emphasized that I had been scammed, I was gaslit about what a great program this supposedly is. I won't be shopping with this company anymore due to their scamming of customers, their dishonesty, and their disrespect and lack of accountability.

  Bought some glow in the dark stickers as a prize for our fishing booth at a neighborhood party in OCTOBER. Come to find out I've been billed $16.06 every month since then?? I did not sign up for any sort of membership or monthly program. This is absolutely fraudulent. Buyers beware. Your purchase is not worth the reoccurring charges they have the audacity to claim.

  Buyer Beware. I placed a one-time order in June '24. I did not authorize Oriental Trading Company to save my CC as a payment method. It is now Jan. '25 and my husband asked what I was buying every month from OTC for ~$15. After we looked into it more, it turned out to be a rewards membership I didn't even know existed and definitely did not sign up for. When I called the 1-800 line the customer service agent said there are many pop-ups at checkout and membership often gets added inadvertently. It wasn't terribly difficult to get it removed and a refund thankfully, but beware that even if you do not opt-into having your payment method stored, they still can sign you up for a membership you did not authorize and charge you.

  Just like numerous others before me I woke up to a 14.95 membership charge that I did not sign up for. But I only use this debit card minimally and did not have enough to cover the “pre authorized” charge and did. Or have enough in my account to cover it and was charged an additional $32 overdraft fee. So altogether almost $50 that I did not have extra this close to Christmas to lose.This business should’ve been stopped years ago with their horrible scamming.

  Ordered some Easter items in March. They asked if I would like to pay the amount of in payments, I said yes. 9 months later I was still being billed to pay off the purchase. Turns out I was enrolled in some program that costs $16 per month. I didn't sign up for this program, I don't want to be a member of this program. Nice way to scam $144 from my family. Great company!!???

  Absolute scam company. They send you a gift certificate and if you use it, you automatically get enrolled in their $15 a month membership. It's a scam and will be reporting to the attorney general.

  Enrolled me in a scam for $16.41 a month. When I called, they would only reimburse me for six months and they had been taking it out for nine months. Could not explain exactly what it was for…this is a scam!

  These people are a joke. You order items, pay for them, pay the extra shipping fees, and it's all bets are off on when you'll receive your items. According to them - "Its between me & the shipping agency". I will never purchase from them again!
