I purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra from Tims. My second vehicle from them. The first was a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. The Tahoe had ALOTof miles on it (200k) and was being sold “as is, no warranty”. It broke down on me on my way home 90 minutes away. Every light on the dashboard was on. Fast forward-I sunk $3000 into it just to make it pass NH state inspection. Several back and forth messages to Tims but they refused to help with repair costs. Then I returned almost 2 years later with the Tahoe to trade in. I was told it had WAY too many miles on it and it would just go to “auction”. I put less than 10k miles on it in 2 years. They gave me $1800 for it. I paid $9000 for it two years before! Then they turned around and had it advertised on their lot for $8500! The very next day! They didn’t even take my personal floor mats, rain guards or anything off of it. So I purchased the 2014 GMC. It wasn’t the vehicle I originally went there for. They had a red one with less mileage and more options. I was told it has a bad frame and needs to be returned to the auction house. I bartered to keep the wheels that were in the Tahoe because I LITERALLY had just bought the Michelins on it.(not cheap) and theirs’ were all mismatched garbage wheels. So when I brought the truck into their service center to have the wheels swapped over I saw the red truck I originally wanted with a SOLD sticker on it. I inquired and the technician told me his buddy bought it. I asked “I was told it had a bad frame”. He laughed and said “someone LIED to you, nothing wrong with that frame”. I felt cheated yet AGAIN by them and their false statements. NOW- here’s the kicker and the reason I finally had enough and had to file this complaint. I took out the extended warranty on the GMC Sierra and paid dearly for it only to find out it’s BOGUS!! Doesn’t exist. ********** in ***** NH has my truck and contacted the SCAM company. The truck needs a new engine. Head gasket/oil pump went. I’m out $10k!!! Help me

We have reached out to our representative for the warranty company. There is an open claim in review for your vehicle. We are going to figure out what is taking so long with the open claim.

My wife and I purchased a GMC 2500HD from Tim's Truck Capital 8/18/2022. When we took possession of the work truck(8/22/2022)we quickly discovered it had several issues that were not addressed by Tim's Service Department. We had multiple appointments at Tim's and had to get written quotes from another dealership to have the safety concerns addressed, all of these repairs took place after the truck was sold to us with NH State Inspection. To make matters worse the CP4 injection pump failed (Tim's never changed the fuel filter when servicing the work truck) after 2,832 miles of use on 11/19/2022. The $3,705.00 warranty that Tim's sold us with the truck covered $0.00 of the fuel system and $84 of the inspection repairs. It cost us personally $1,191.05 to bring the work truck up to a level of NH Inspection Standards and we currently have spent a total of $7,394.38 to date. We have drafted a 50 page letter for the NH Attorney General Office, Department of Consumer Affairs including all emails, invoices, and the circumstances surrounding these events. We also plan on sending a copy of that letter to the Department of Safety if no resolution can be reached. The vehicle issues and cost has been crippling to us. None of our communication with Tim's has been successful in repairing the fuel system or being reimbursed. All the costs associated with the work truck are outlined on the attached estimate that I wrote, it also outlines the costs we are asking for reimbursement. If what I have provided isn't sufficient then I will just submit the 50 page letter. The work truck is still not on the road, additional repairs are still needed.

The customers multiple appointments were for steering concerns, related to the steering box which we replaced.  We did not send it out for a quote, we sent it to ***** ********* to verify that the steering box that was replaced was faulty, and we wanted their opinion before replacing it.

The warranty did not cover the repair, because they deemed the damage was caused by a faulty injector pump, which is not a covered component.

That being said, the whole situation is unfortunate and we would like to extend some goodwill and pay the $5938.94 towards the repairs.

    Good morning,

We are sorry to hear about your frustrations with the vehicle you purchased.  We spoke with you on February 7th and offered to take the vehicle back in as a trade in for the same amount that you had purchased it for, which you declined.  We are willing to pay $1400 as a goodwill gesture.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

When I purchased my vehicle, I was given a list from the dealer of things they would fix on the truck before purchase. One of those items was to repair the rocker panels. Unknown to me, repair meant spray paint to them, so when I brought it to an autobody repair center, they informed me that spray painting the rocker panels made the problem worse instead of addressing the issue as they stated in writing. I would not have known about the issue immediately as I thought it was taken care of, and when the rust returned, I thought it was an issue with the truck itself, not the work done to it.

    Hi *****,

We are sorry to hear about the issue that has arised.  We did complete repair to the rockers as was said 2+ years ago.  There is a black undercoat spray that the body shop uses to go over the repair after its completed.  We can have you bring the truck into us and trade it in if you would like.  Please let us know what you would like to do.

    Thank you,

    Liz

On 9/26/2022, I drove an hour and a half to Tim's Truck Capital to look at vehicles that would help my family with an upcoming move to North Carolina. A vehicle was identified as suitable, a Ford F-150, and a $500 deposit/down payment was placed on the vehicle. On 10/1/2022, I then went to Tim's Truck Capital with my family to complete the purchase. The remaining balance ($4,000) was given in the form of a bank (cashier's) check. Noted on the purchase and sale agreement was an administrative fee of $499 that indicated that it would be going towards the vehicles title. Upon inquiry, I was told by the sales representative that the title would be overnighted to me. As of this day, 10/11/2022, I am still not in possession of the title. I have called the dealership several times and have been told as many times as I have called that the title would be overnighted to me (clearly they have not heard that honesty is the best policy). Now we are out of time because we leave tomorrow morning (10/12) for North Carolina. Because we are not able to take the truck with us (cannot register without the title), we had to have a hitch installed on a different vehicle. I will also have to take a plane back to Massachusetts from North Carolina at a later date to register this vehicle. And the vehicle will need to be stored with friends in the meantime. This has been an incredible inconvenience for me and my family and I would like to be compensated for the extra money and stress that this situation has caused us.

The customer has received the title and been reimbursed for his inconvience.

I purchase a used truck, on 05/16/22. I have repeatedly contacted Tim's Truck capital since. I have sent e-mails asking for an explanation of the coverage of the purchase warranty, for $2,800. I received nothing. I also would like to know who authorized the withdrawals of money from my credit union accounts. I never signed up for this service. Yet twice approx $410 has been taken from my account.BY serviced by them. I received a discount from the credit union on interest. I do not need Autopay plus making withdrawals. I pay my bills as I accrue them. with a credit score in the 800s, I feel I know how to handle my own money. I do not like being ignored.

    Hello Robert,

We are sorry to hear about the delay of getting you a copy of your warranty contract. I have attached the full contract to this email.  Also, about the confusion of the autopayments that you elected to set up while you were here at the dealership.  I have proof here that autopay plus has been cancelled and they are refunding you directly and you will receive that in 10-14 days. Please let us know if there is anything else you may need.

    Thank you,

I bought a car almost 2 months ago. I did not get the extended warranty and they seemed little up set as they were loosing 3900$. But the dealer ship offers 30day 1000 mile warranty . Three days into owning the car it started having issues I told them and took days to get a answer I talked to the service manager and he was very rude to me . I messaged back and forth and they would not do a thing infact they said they didn’t get the 178 to Register the car and that was all rolled in. Then they said they would cover it. 178$ cover for registration does not cover the tow bill even . I have kids and broke down cause they sold me a faulty car . And then wouldn’t do a thing about it . Three days after owning it . I have put 600$ into it as of rn .

We have attached the product menu to show the customer declined all options, including an extended warranty.  We have also attached the copy of the check for taxes and registration that went to the Vermont DMV.  We are sorry that the Service advisor, not the service manager that he spoke with was rude, we will address that with him.  We always stand behind our inspected vehicles with a 30 day/1000 mile warranty, the customer had gone over the 1000miles, but we would still try to help out.  We offered to have him bring the vehicle back to our shop, but the customer wanted to take to his own shop. If the customer wants to submit over the invoice from the other shop, we will review and potentially refund the amount that it would have cost us to do the repairs.
