These people are crooks. We had our electric mower in for warranty work last year and they had it all summer. They charged us for the work. In the meantime, they lost our charger and gave us a different one. That didn't work because the chargers are connected to the machine/battery you have. So, we couldn't charge our machine last fall. We brought it back this spring for them to get a charger that will work with our machine. They had to order a new one and a battery along with it so it would work. They are trying to charge us $1500 for something they did wrong and refuse to make it right. It's a $2500 machine. We could have bought a second one for what they are trying to steal from us.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT HERE!!! Mower was brought in to the nearest Authorized repair Center for warranty repair only, as per Ryobi's direction. Mower left for a couple of months. When I went to pick it up, the owner said that he had sharpened the blades (which were new) and the cost was $65. New blades are about half of that cost. When I mentioned that, the owner said that he knew this but there were none available as they were back ordered. The owner was only supposed to do warranty work, he never asked if we wanted the blades sharpened. This seems to be his way of scamming folks and holding their mower hostage until the $65 is paid. I did tell him that I would contact the AG's office and he laughed and said "what? over $65" i WOULD LEAVE NO STARS IF POSSIBLE

Blades are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. When repairing any lawn mower, the blades are replaced or balanced and sharpened if necessary. The reason behind this is this is a large radius centrifugal force acting on the blade shaft and associated bearings. This is necessary both from a safety and bearing/shaft/motor damage liability perspective. In this particular instance new replacement blades were unavailable from Ryobi. The blade was bent and contacting the mower housing making a cut in the rear. New blades are backordered and will not be available until mid February 2024. This left one option. Straighten, sharpen, and balance the blade. The blades are balanced in the sharpening process by removing material. This must be done for safety and repair liability. There is a sign posted at the business counter that clearly states this for customers to see. It is not standard practice to contact the customer for replacement of necessary low cost items not covered under the manufacturers warranty.
