    I hired this company to install a home theater. Immediately after the installation was complete, I began having problems connecting my new receiver to my new TV. We purchased this equipment through Home Theaters Simplified, and the wiring between the equipment was installed by Jeff. At first, I thought that the issue was software (ARC) related, but after a week or so of trying different solutions, I discovered that the problem was with the new HDMI cable installed by Jeff. The HDMI connector appears to have been damaged during the install, and only works with the cable bent in a certain way. I informed Jeff of the issue immediately after confirming that the HDMI cable was defective. I also had a problem with the brand-new receiver. While watching a movie, the receiver made a popping sound and stopped working. Text on the receiver screen also then changed from English to Spanish. I immediately informed Jeff of the problem and requested a replacement receiver. I did not want to wait weeks to use my home theater, so I installed a temporary older receiver. When Jeff finally bothered to respond to my issues, his response was "Ok, well, the cable worked fine when it was installed. It showed the Denon menu without issue, You had a receiver short out. You never mentioned the cable NOT working???before this??" YOU then installed a different receiver, and now seems that the cable has shown to be defective???? I can say that cables just don't stop working on their own?? We can replace the cable but not under warranty." The response I received from Jeff regarding the two reported issues was completely unsatisfactory and unwarranted. He also seems to have a problem remembering things, like the fact that I reported every issue as it occurred. He also blames me for every reported issue, rather than taking responsibility as he should have. He seems to believe that any issue occurring after installation is customer created and not his concern. Do not hire this company!
