1aauto sold me a defective product that does not fit my vehicle. They initiated a return process for me to send the products back for a refund. They are now in possession of both my money and the products returned. They are refusing to refund my money unless they collect additional information, which was not needed to purchase the product or initiate the return, nor will they send back the parts returned. This is unacceptable business practice unfair and deceptive, similar to a bait and switch as they have plastered all over their website "guaranteed fit". It is in fact the opposite.Business response

Bought headlights for my truck from website. Used there vehicle fit tool to make sure parts fit my truck. Received lights. They are different wiring and different style bulbs. So they are not exact fit as 1a auto website stated. I filled for a return on website and it said I would receive a prepaid label to my email. Which I never got. I have called customer service 4 times and emailed them with no contact from them at all. I would like someone to reach out to me. I would like my prepaid label so that I can send back lights and get my refund.Customer response

Not sure why they have a phone service. Nobody will answer or return your call. Trying to return a product and did not receive any email instructions on how to do so as the 1a auto website said I would. Have been trying to get ahold/response for 2 days. Poor customer serviceBusiness response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: no email with any label from UPS (yes I checked junk mail 100x) or even a physical address to return the item has been provided, all I need is simple information WHERE to send the return item. Also, the phone service is terrible. Have been waiting on call back for days.

I recently ordered a part for my truck from 1a auto because the website said that I would get my part by Tuesday 10/31/23. Once Tuesday afternoon came I checked the tracking that now says Thursday 11/2/23. I called customer service that told me there was nothing they could do, escalated to a manager that said I have to wait until Thursday and that they never advertise same day shipping. I go back to the website and it says clear as day “FREE SAME DAY SHIPPING” in bold letters at the top of the page. The only reason I went this route is because the site said I would get it by Tuesday. Now I have to go 2 more days without my vehicle, they were unwilling to compensate, and also told me if I cancel the order they would deduct a fee from my refund.Business response

We do apologize for the inconvenience however our records indicate the order was delivered within the promised 3-5 business day timeframe provided for standard free shipping. The order was shipped out on the same day according to our system and delivered on 11/02. If the item is no longer wanted or needed, we would need to take it back for a refund and can offer a discounted return shipping label which would be deducted from the refund amount or we can set up a return without the shipping label. The courier may leave the package behind furniture, around doors, or at another entrance. Could you check to see if it is in one of these places?We also recommend asking any household occupants or neighbors if they received the package already.

I ordered a quarter window motors for my 1994 ford mustang gt. They were advertised as a direct fit for the car so I went ahead and purchased them. Upon arrival, the motors would not physically fit in the slot the previous factory motor fit in and couldn't even be installed, so I submitted a refund claim and mailed the motors back 2 days after I had received them. I was then told the process takes about 3-5 business days (from September 2nd) to complete the refund. On September 14th I emailed in question to the status of the refund, to which I received a response stating that the parts needed to be inspected and the process in total should take about 10 business days from the date they arrived on September 8th. I patiently waited until today September 26th to send an email to try and find out the status of the refund as another 10 business days passed with no response. I then got an email in return stating the parts were not "resellable" even though they were sent back in the exact same condition they came to me in. If I did not email in the first place, I would have never been reached out to about these parts somehow being not resellable, and I would have lost my money with no refund or replacement? It is a very unprofessional and frankly suspect situation that has occurred with minimal transparency.Business response

I ordered a set of 4 ignition coils to replace the ones in my 2008 Toyota matrix. After 4 months my engine started having issues again and thinking it was a different issue since I had just replaced the coils I replaced other parts in my car such as the mass airflow sensor, fuel pump, and engine air filter only to find that the ignition coils were causing the issue due to the company sending me a part that was incompatible with my car. I’ve spoken with the business on multiple occasions and they are unwilling to refund me even though they had guaranteed the parts to fitBusiness response

Hello,
The parts were purchased incorrectly per the vehicle's engine ID as noted in the listing description and listing title. We are also unable to refund electrical items once they have been installed and cannot take parts back for a refund outside of our 60 day return policy. As the parts were purchased incorrectly and due to the age they are unable to be refunded. We cannot issue a replacement of the items as they were purchased incorrectly.
