    not impressed with this service. you get the results super quick but not what you expected. they should say they only go back a certain number of years. I chose the national check for 16.95$ and all I got was one state. I have reached out to see what thy company can do to get all my history but no response. I would not use this service if you want a deep dive into your past history, it's only a superficial result. not sure if they mislead what they offer on purpose but definitely don't explain exactly what they offer

    Here is our last email in a series of emails to this person:--------------------------------Dear xxxxx,You shouldn't be using a FCRA compliant website if you read our data coverage and you need to ask the questions you did.We are used by very large corporation and hundreds of other entities and not one of them has said our website is unclear.I have refunded your fee and closed your account. We will not support any future orders from you or on any of our other websites.***** ----------------------------------Some people do not read what they are purchasing. This person shouldn't be using a FCRA website that follows federal law as to what they criminal records they can and can't return. This person made legal representations to us, but apparently just checked the boxes rather than actually read the actual representation or he wouldn't be writing this review. In any case, despite the above, we refunded his fee. Yet he says we did not receive a refund.Every six months or so among the thousands of customers we have is a person like him. He knows he received a refund but complains to the BBB anyway. We also have a series of email from this person Yet he says we didn't respond. Just a really odd review.*****

    Total SCAM and waste of money! They are awful! You can not get felony info any further than 7 years. And you will get more information from other vendors unfortunately, even more free information than them on a public record search! They will not refund you and will accuse you of ordering a report falsely when they don't make you show proof before taking your money!

    This woman's review is untrue. Despite her certifying to us before ordering that she complied with the FCRA, she did not. She said it was a mistake. We refunded her money as a courtesy and asked her to go to a website that was not FCRA compliant. She is correct that you may get more information from other non-FCRA complaint websites, but you can't use this information for FCRA complaint purposes such as employment and tenant screening without being in violation of federal law.

    The only thing true about this statement is I did get a refund and I made a mistake. I have emails of what was actually said. Their site does not work on mobile phones well so yes I made mistakes that I wasn't aware I made until the owner made accusations and said I was in violation as if someone who is attempting to violate something would just volunteer that information. Ben seems to know FCRA rules and the real violation here is a site that DOES NOT prevent it! A business that wants to ensure rules are followed would require some type of verification and the error would have never occurred. This company has multiple bad reviews for a reason. Furthermore his responses were rude and unprofessional! Buyer Beware they are not interested in correcting the problem and their site on a mobile phone is as unprofessional as their customer service- FAULTY!

    Very poor customer service. I was never able to get the site to work on my phone and customer service was rude and told me to go to another site which I highly recommend. If you can use another company go somewhere else!

    As an executive at Direct Screening, I had the opportunity to answer emails last week as we gave our customer service staff the week off for Thanksgiving. I enjoy customer service as I like conversing with our customers. However, there are always exceptions.

    This woman wrote us nine emails within one hour clogging up our email system without giving us proper time to respond.  Apparently, she was using her phone to order and it was not compatible with our website.

    Then she switched to her computer to order and complained that our website is not recognizing her login credentials. Yet somehow when she used the "forgot password'' it did. Maybe she had been using an incorrect password?

    In one email, I recommended she try another website as she was having so many problems with our website. However, the property owner’s association that she needed a report for only uses Direct Screening (and there is a reason for this). In any case she received her report when she used a correct password - but she still needed to write a bad review on the BBB.

    I will have her emails and the time stamps sent to the POA manager and we will let them decide who was actually the rude individual. I would rather let the association account go than subject the real customer service staff to someone like this.

    This company is a scam! I paid $12.95 for a mere criminal background check for myself of course the money was taken immediately, go to my email and it send me to another site with a 50% off of things I’m not asking for! I want my refund and will get it! I don’t care if it’s a $1.00 don’t scam people.. it never said on disclosure that it wa anymore to it, other than the 12.95! We’ll they messed with the wrong person.. **** in Michigan UAW

    This review is far from what actually happened. This person sent about 6 disrespectful emails about not receiving her report. Most all of them were on the weekend while our office was closed. We clearly state on our website that the report is available within 30 seconds in her account folder. I have no idea why she would think we email the reports. We definitely do not do this due to privacy concerns. Hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers realize this. For some unknown reason, she is assuming something that is not correct. We did send her an email Saturday morning requesting that she login to her account to access her report. She states in the review: "I immediately, go to my email and it send me to another site with a 50% off of things I’m not asking for!" Either she has spyware on her computer or she is confusing us with another background check company. In 18 years we have never used email as a marketing strategy. Why would we send someone to another company's website? Ridiculous! In any case, this woman is one of those customers you hope does not use your website, as she doesn't read the description of the search and how it is delivered. Before we received notice of this BBB review, we had refunded her money and closed her account. I wish there was a "Better Customer Bureau" so we could warn other companies about having her as a customer!

    I had a billing issue and I was asked what the issue was. I explained the best I could and that I was double billed because their payment was a little confusing. I was basically told that I was stupid and to go elsewhere for my business. Brain was the customer complaint person and he continued to insult me again on another e-mail. I was credited for a overcharge, so I wasn't so dumb that I didn't know I was charged twice, their system should not have allowed that to happen anyway.

    We told this customer that the reason she was having a problem was her set up (browser, device) which was not working properly with our website. This happens with certain browsers. We recommended that she try another service. We did issue the requested refund. For an unknown reason, she called our response "sarcastic" and got upset. Since then, despite us issuing her a refund, she has sent us emails threatening to disparage our company all over the internet. Her words: "I am about to blast the e-mail he sent me all over the web". This threat came as she wanted us to “immediately” send her contact information for an upper management person so she could complain to someone higher up. We did send her the requested contact information, but she apparently has already started her "blast" all over the internet anyway. She said in her review that “I was basically told that I was stupid.” Why would we insult a customer we were trying to help? Reading a sarcastic tone to our email probably led to her misinterpretation of what we were trying to convey. The customer would rather cause us harm than work out a solution to the problem. Most of her emails were after we refunded her requested refund. We do not want customers who threaten us and as is our right, per our terms and conditions, we have now closed her account.

    I paid for a state check and there was no information found. This is highly incorrect information! I would like a refund but I know the chances of that are unlikely per their previous complaints. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    I bought and paid for back ground record search and direct screening charged my card three different times with three different names I only needed one back check for purpose of school how that happened I don't know . because when I kept trying use my it wouldn't do it the portal kept saying this transaction invalid you have already inquired for a record search prior to this search. Its a shame companies take advantage of the public and me being senior citizen using deceptive trade practice's. I wouldn't recommend direct screening no one to use.

    This is the most unprofessional company I paid a full report and they came back that was nothing on it and that's not true since I know I have a record and the report came back as incomplete because the ss was not a match this company is a complete HACK now they won't even answer the request it means no money back complete ripoff if BBB can do something about this scamers I will appreciate

    This person received a security violation on his report as he did not enter the correct social security number. Security violations are issued when it appears the person is "phishing" for social security numbers. How does he not know his own SSN? The credit card that he stated he used to purchase the report was declined three times without a successful charge. We do not know who actually purchased the report. He can't seem to provide any correct information. Rather than waste more time on this person, we will stand on our outstanding customer service record, our 15 year track record with the BBB, and our thousands of satisfied repeat customers.
