A salesmen, Daniel W*****, came to my mothers house to sell her a Kirby. She is 97 years old. He should have never gone in her home. He took ADVANTAGE OF HER and HE LIED TO HER. He sold her A 29 lb. vacuum, she can in no way push, but told her it was 8 lbs. He also said she had 9 months to return it. It was actually 30 days. How do I know this is true? Because my oldest sister came in at the end when mom was already sold on his "sales pitch" . He reiterated the same things to her. She believed him. Mom wanted it based on his sales pitch. Never once were they offered to try it themselves. The vacuum cost $2150.00. My sister tried to return it in what would have easily been within the 90 day period but he never answered or returned her calls. She tried the regional manger who she found out was his wife. She made up excuses as to why he wasn't "available". She felt it was being handled, waiting for instructions to get it back to Kirby. By the time she got to a supervisor of some sort it was past the 90days and she was told it cannot be retuned now. It sits unused and clearly they were misled. I called and spoke with Brenda and it seemed promising but since my sister had already spoken to Amanda and was told no then Brenda said her hands were tied. So I call Amanda more than once, leave messages and no call back. This is where we are. Ridiculous!

I bought 2 Kirby vacuums over the years and was happy with my first one, the diamond edition. Then around 10 yrs later we had another Kirby sales team come to our door to get us to "upgrade" to the newest model. They showed us comparisons of the 2 vacuums and sold us on the trade. After they left, that new vacuum wasn't as great as our previous one but we thought it was just us being bias because we really liked the Diamond one. We did try to get the old one back but were told it was already gone. Here we are 6-7 years later and this upgrade wont turn on. It has a broken fan, switch and motor. I explained everything to customer service and was given the run around and told that I would have to pay roughly $300 or so to have it rebuilt. They do not care about their customers, their satisfaction, nor do they back their own product. TERRIBLE customer service, company, and product. Please be ware

Absolutely terrible and not to mention terrifying. An initial salesperson came to my door offering to clean a rug to test their cleaning service, and if we liked would receive an offer off their services. After barely agreeing to a test, next thing I knew two men were making their way into my home. Immediately I retract and say oh no I am not buying anything and am not interested once I see they are carrying in a brand new box. They said oh no it's ok we just want to test it for you. First guy is nowhere to be found, I'm now stuck in my own home with two unfamiliar men. One comes and goes as he pleases - the other is demonstrating the vacuum in my home. I keep repeating myself that I am not interested and will not be purchasing - that doesn't matter to them. He continues and makes small talk, at one point asks to see my bedroom. I said actually I don't want to do that - and he somehow managed to get me to show him my bedroom. Next thing I know he is sitting on my bed and demonstrating this vacuum. Absolutely horrific. I was carrying my knife on my person because of how unsafe I felt in my own home. Over the course of two - almost three - hours of me detailing how I'm not interested, Sorry I am not purchasing, I do not make same day decisions, thank you but no thank you, they would not leave. Mo, the man that felt comfortable enough to come and go, would not take no for an answer. He pressured and pressured and more than overstayed his welcome until I finally agreed to a price. I did NOT sign any contracts or paperwork, and yet they left with my vacuum and left behind this bulky overpriced Kirby. What a HACK. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion, and incredibly pushy. I am in sales and would never act this way towards a potential customer. After spending the same amount of time calling them, finally got through to the owner who seemed to side with the pushy sales people. Despicable to call yourselves a reputable company. Pushy bait and switch. The poor elderly!!

I was approached by a salesperson. We made the mistake to purchase one of these over priced vacuums. The next day we realized it was a horrible decision and started the process for a refund. It was accepted. The vacuum was taken back by a representative the next day. We should have kept the vacuum as we have not received a refund at all. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR. We have called and called the store to get any progress information. And every time they would say we would get a call back. This happened several times. When we went to the actual store to get answers we found out they have been evicted from their building. Not sure what to do now. Our $2000 and no vacuum. PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

Ditto other reviews here. Scammed me to get into my house with a story about how this woman only needed 3 more people to listen to her spiel to win a trip to the DR. When I agreed to listen, on my door step, the demo guy jumped out of the van with the Kirby and pushes into my house. The woman says it's a 5 min demo and I ignorantly agreed. An hour and a half later I finally got him out after repeating over and over that I wasn't buying it. He made a mess of my house after tromping through it in the pushiest way possible. Cleaned 1/4 of a rug leaving a wet mess on the rest (and a stain from the dirty water), and on the floor. Ripped blankets off a bed to prove it cleans the mattress through MY SHEETS. Had to tear the bed apart to clean it, wash floors, and finish cleaning a rug. Price of the vacuum went from $2500 to $950. Every time I told him I wasn't going to buy it regardless, he would 'call a manager' and get the price magically lowered. You couldn't pay me to take the thing. The demo guy asked to use my bathroom and for a glass of water. My friend was concerned he was looking for any drugs that we might have in cabinets. Never again.

Aggressive sales person tried to bully his way into my residence. Used aggressive body language and guilt to attempt to come into my home.
