Hi, I delivered my baby at Saint Clares Denville on December 17th, 2023. The hospital billed my insurance company as "out of Network" resulting in a high bill. I knew it was incorrect but hospital continued to send me threatening calls and letters for collections so I paid it. In May my insurance company *** made an adjustment since the hospital is in network and as a result the hospital owes me approx $450. The insurance company and I have been calling monthly and they keep telling me my refund will take another 30 days. It's been 5 months since the adjustment made by the insurance and as of today I'm told a different company is processing my refund dated September 30th. Previously I was told a refund was in the system for August 26th and to wait 30 days.

My Dr. ordered blood work as part of my annual physical. I had the blood work performed at my network provider, Saint Clare's Health in Dover, N.J. on July 26, 2024 (Saint Clare's Health will be abbreviated as SCH moving forward). When my Dr. received the results of my bloodwork from the SCH lab he was suspicious that some of the results were inaccurate. As such, he ordered a second set of tests be done with a different lab. Those results from the 2nd lab showed very different values from the Saint Clare's lab. A third set of labs were then ordered, and those confirmed the 2nd labs results. My Dr. explained that lab results are sometimes inaccurate, and it was a good thing he double checked my initial lab results from SCH and not base his diagnosis on those numbers. On August 26, 2024 I received a bill from SCH for $1,029.52.00. Not only is this an outrageous sum for the lab services rendered, but the lab results I received from SCH were inaccurate and unusable for a proper and competent diagnosis. When I called the SCH billing Department I requested that the bill be adjusted not just because it is overcharging, but the fact that the lab results were inaccurate and therefore unusable. The SCH representative said there was nothing they could do to modify the amount of the bill. I told the SCH rep that I absolutely will not pay for a service that was rendered poorly and was grossly overcharged.
