On 8/31/23 11:39 AM I called Open Road Honda in Edison (the dealer I bought my new car from) to schedule an oil change & tire rotation. She scheduled me for 9/8/23 at 9:00 AM & a few minutes later I got the txt confirmation of my appointment. Friday morning 9/8/23, I got there around 8:50 AM & was asked if I was going to wait or come back for the car later. I said I have an ***************** only an oil change & tire rotation so I will wait. He said we are very busy today & there are a lot of cars in front of you so it could take up to 3 to 4 hours. I reminded him that I had an **************** told me that whoever scheduled it shouldn't have. He said that Monday through Friday where only walk-ins & first come first serve & since they were opened wince 7:00 AM there were a lot of cars in front of me. I showed him the confirmation txt that clearly says Dear ******, Your Service appointment Friday, September 8, 2023 09:00 AM" & he said yes that was their number but that there was nothing he could do.I told him that I had taken time off work to come but again he said he couldn't do anything about that. I told the person at the front ********** said the same thing. When I went to get my car back, I mentioned it to two other people (one looked like they might have been a supervisor) but they both said the same thing. I made two calls to *****************, the service manager, but was told both times that he was not available & no one called me back, so I left without getting my car serviced. This place is a disgrace I understand that people make mistakes but if the mistake is theirs, they should have honored my appointment. This dealership proved to me that regardless of what their "on hold recording says about their ******************** they dont care about their customers on bit. I will never buy another car from them, and I will make it my mission to warn anyone to stay away from this dealership because they don't take accountability for their mistakes.

Very shady business conducted here. Came to Open Road Honda to purchase a car and negotiated a final price of 36k. After shaking hands with the dealer I waited two hours for the paperwork to be finalized. They threw a bunch of paperwork at me and added 6k in fees which were not discussed at all. These fees included Secure Etch (Optional) for $499, Protection Package $1895, Maintenance $689 and many more fees. After all of these surprise fees the total came to about 41k, on a car that was originally 29k MSRP. If you decide to purchase a car here I highly recommend you read through all of the many documents they will throw at you.

I dropped the car on 4/18 for an oil change the Service Advisor **** called me and said the brakes were low and suggested that they also work on the suspension. She said they can return the suspension back to normal. I agree and pick up the car when it's done and notice now the car is pulling to the left whenever I brake. I bring it back to service and they said they will tighten the suspension a bit more and it should be good. I drive off again, and immediately notice problem is still there. I texted **** and she called me back and said she will have to charge me a diagnostic fee to see why the car is suddenly pulling to the left. I asked to speak to the manager **** and had to leave several voice messages. He finally called me back and said the earliest they can look at the car again (3rd time) was Monday May 1st. I dropped the car off the night before and the next day another service advisor *****, called me and said the outer Tie Rod was damaged and had to be replaced. Once again, I called **** he said it's not the tie rod and also asked if **** told me anything else about the car when I initially picked it up the first time. She didn't mention anything. He said **** should have mentioned the brake cable was damaged. Again, I question how the brake cable could get damaged after I dropped the car off for repair. He says valet guys might've done it while using the emergency brake. I suspect the tech obviously damaged the brake cable while he was working on the car or maybe they put a damaged broken brake cable from another vehicle, who knows . The fact that neither service advisor mentioned it during the 1st, 2nd or 3rd visit mean they were obviously hiding something. Well, a new brake cable was on back order, and almost impossible to get. It took several more days for them to find a used one from a nearby junkyard. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this Open Road Honda in Edison at all and will try my luck elsewhere.

NEVER AGAIN HAVE MY BUSINESS!Fri 12/2/2022 at 6:50 am. I was refused an oil change at **************** According to the Valet, his manager, ***, told him to not accept me as a customer because the ******************** was not purchased at the dealership. He didn't care that that is where I bought one of my vehicles and that that is where I continually service multiple vehicles, some of which were not purchased there. Also, he didn't care to know whether the vehicle was purchased at another Open Road dealership.

Absolutely terrible customer support. They were rude right out of the gate just saying hello, they forwarded me immediately, bouncing me around from one person to the next without as much as a by your leave. My most recent experience ended with being forwarded to voicemail after the person said barely two words to me. Their quoted rates for just looking at a vehicle are way too high. Shockingly bad experience.
