I cant logon to their site, and its nearly impossible to get in contact with a live person to help. Once youre able to talk to a person they are completely unhelpful and they hang up on you while trying to transfer you to another line.

This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. You cannot talk to a representative on the phone and get generic responses through automation and online chat. I have been working for months to get my VA tax exemption approved in their system even though I sent all the required information from the state of *******. Would give zero stars if able.

This company is the worst of the worst. You call the number for assistance and no one can answer any of your questions. I was mailed a letter that provided a number to call about my mortgage and the number is not in service how about its regarding a foreclosure yet this company is not providing me with a working number. None of the **** can explain the charges on the bill but the only facts is that you owe it. Someone needs to look into this company maybe an adult.

They kept charging an annual fee after our loan had been paid off and claimed they notified us that the account was still open. No communications were received. We tried to dispute the annual fees and they denied. Very untrustworthy company.

My wife and I have our HELOC through Cenlar. I have repeatedly tried to update my address information with them, via multiple emails, phone calls, and website messaging service. Despite following all communicated rules to process the address change, they refuse to update my address. This is costing me time and money (as I can't access the ******* I have worked in banking for 20 years, in multiple positions/departments, and know the consumer rights and financial institution responsibilities required per regulation to 1) protect the financial institution and client from fraud, and 2) ease of use and access to ones financial institution. In my professional and personal opinion, they are obstructionist and predatory. I cannot stress enough, DO NOT do business with Cenlar!

**************** is a joke with this company. It is hard to get in contact with them to resolve any issues. They constantly pick up the line, ask for my name, and then HANG THE PHONE UP!! This is the most aggravating mortgage company to work with. I will be refinancing or downright selling because they have made the homeownership experience for this first time buyer a living nightmare.

We have a HELOC that is being paid off, and were experiencing frustration in the payoff statement and amount being a moving target. I am on my third trip to fax the request to close the account and set up a wire transfer.1/10/2025 **************** by phone was nice, told me my payoff balance was ~$450 to close out and authorized payment and account closure over the phone. I thought I was done.1/13/2025 Receive new payoff statement showing balance of $150 due to annual fee.1/14/2025 Receive new payoff balance in the amount of ~$650, based on $450 payment not being applied.Ive reached out via their messaging center to get closure once and for all. But I do feel like I have to personally audit all my payments and make sure they were properly applied. Its difficult to trust the companys operations overall, even if customer support team is doing their best to be helpful.

Cenlar is the WORST company to deal with. I secured a loan at the closing of my refinance. The loan was paid automatically from my bank account each month. All of a sudden they stopped withdrawing the payments without notification. When I noticed a few months later they told me there was due a BALLOON payment due which was never outlined in the original loan documentation. They are now trying to foreclose on my home because "they" REFUSED to take payments. I called them to get a payoff amount and was on the phone for 90 minutes with at least 3 different people when they finally told me what the payoff amount was. I secured the amount from my retirement funds for this payoff just to get rid of them. They offered to send me a payoff statement by email. FIVE days later, nothing was received. I spent another 30 minutes on the phone and they FINALLY sent me a payoff statement that was $6000 higher than what the balance was verbally quoted. They told me to contact their attorney, but could not provide me with a firm name or phone number, but insisted on charging me attorney fees anyway. I am now at the age of 70, retired and live solely on Social Security. They are threatening to force me out of my home.

I specialize in foreclosure prevention. Cenlar is by far, the worst servicer there is. They simply do not care about their customers, have little to no training or knowledge about the debts they service, are hard to reach, misplace and mismanage documentation, and for being the largest mortgage sub-servicer in the country, they are very poorly run, which, in my professional opinion, is done by design. If you are ever transferred to Cenlar, refinance and get out from under them as fast as you can.
