    Received an estimate for a job to replace a curb for ****. Exact wording on estimate:"Replace curb, demolish and dump old curb 20 linear feet. Build a framing and install wiremesh and pour concrete. All include dumpster, permit material and labor $****"He finds out that it's going to need inspection, which he was told up front it was for the sale of a house, and suddenly wants to charge an extra $1,000. When asked why it was suddenly more, the only reason provided was because it was going to be inspected. When questioned if he was going to do a job that would go against the permit, he hung up on me.

    Hi *******, Let me tell you that when I did met your wife she mention to me that since you guys were selling the house did not care so much but you want it only a "cosmetic" repair in way to be able to sell the home which was supposed to be closed on the day that I meet your wife and it was not done for that reason. Therefore I do understand your frustration about the matter but is not fair putting that on us. When we was contacted about the changed project including 2 inspection the price was changed accordingly to the new request. Please be aware that different projects have different prices.     A permit is a permit to do the job correctly. There is no such thing as a "cosmetic" permit. You should know that by getting a permit it has to be done correctly to code in any town anywhere. You were also extremely rude to me when questioned why the price changed and didn't provide any real reason and hung up on me. I sincerely believe that you were going to do a job that was going to fail inspection, and steal our money.

    This has nothing to do with the price or your pricing structure. There is no subjective part of this. Objectively we were going with ********** until you bait and switched the price after you realized you would be caught. We were willing to invest in getting the job done correctly as ********** clearly stated. You not owning up to your mistake, putting blame on the customer, and making excuses to try and make yourself look better in these responses shows the true nature of your business practice.
