This Meineke- 528 at Lumberton, **** practices and applies false labor charges and does not honor thier work. I took my Jeep into the shop to have an exhaust manifold catalytic converter installed in August2023. Before the month was up, the check engine light came back on. I took my jeep back and was told by the mechanic who installed it that it "must be a bad converter. Bring it back if it gets worse." I ended up going to another mechanic and was informed, "it wasn't installed correctly. Take it back, and they shouldn't charge you., they did not install the gasket correctly. " I took it back today and was told by the mechanic who is the shop advisor, "Well it wasn't blown when you left here, the charge is going to be $779. to replace the gasket, that includes five hours of labor." No, they installed it incorrectly and now they refuse to fix it without wanting more money than the initial installment. As a female veteran, I want everyone to know that Meineke-528 at *********, **** has bad practices, policies, lies about the costs, does not do quality work, nor will stand by thier work. This business is not worth spending your money or time. Now I am out $719.04, and need to find an honest mechanic who doesn't see a female and see dollar signs, to fix what Meineke-528, at ********* **** refuses to correct.I was told the owner is ***********************. Find an honest mechanic, do not go to Meineke-528.
