Applied for Patient assistance program by phone. Was told I might qualify. Went to all the trouble to download form, take to doctor, get filled out, mail in via post office. Then contacted and was told I didnt qualify since I was over income limit, but at that point I had never supplied them any information as to exact income. Paid to fax SSI income statements and never heard back. It has been several weeks. Worried about sensitive documentation being provided to unreputable business. Tried to contact via phone and was placed on hold for 15 minutes, then was immediately told by individual that finally answered they couldn't hear me, despite phone working properly enough to navigate entire automated process to that point. This is third time I reenrolled for the Patient assistance program with the same information from the doctor and for the same medication. But this is time the PAP claims that my doctor’s NPI and state license is incorrect even though its the same as the last two times. My healthcare provider keep faxing over the correct information. This has been going on since January or February. This is the first time that this program has occurred within the three times I had re-enrolled with this program! On a further note. The most recent representative I spoke with had very condescending attitude towards me. I think was very rude and unprofessional and also it took him 10 minutes to look up my profile and application which should have been a simple task!Initial Complaint

novo nordisk Canada Inc Reference *********** I have been taking ****** since last Fall (2024) . My pen was malfunctioning after using it two times. I went to my pharmacist to ensure that indeed the pen was malfunctioning. I reached out to Novo Nordisk customer care and was told that I would need to return the pen and it would go through their investigation department for testing. I had to wait more than 2 months to get the envelope to send back the product. After several calls to get an update I have been advised that it was with the investigation department since December 17. I finally received a letter on February 6 advising me that the pen is not malfunctioning. Since then, I have been in touch with them several times in writing to express my frustration. It is beyond my comprehension that they are lying flat out to their customers. I intend - and this is by principle - to report them to the various medical instances in Canada. in addition I will report this to my insurance company and encourage them to seek reimbursement. And by reading other similar stories here, I think their shareholders should be made aware on how unethical this pharmaceutical company is.Initial Complaint

I faxed my renewal Patient Assistance Application back the 1st/2nd week of December 2024. I received a physical letter and email saying I was approved for 2025 before the end of 2024. In January, I called 6 times to check the status of my order and continue to get the automated response it is in process and to call back 2-3 days. I am even treated poorly by the phone ***** because I get upset that I cannot get an answer and they won't escalate this ******** is February 3rd and I am still waiting on my insulin. Why have a Patient Support Program if it cannot be run accurately and efficiently for your patients? You are giving out hope that is not there as I have to spend money I don't have, again this month, for my "life in a bottle".Initial Complaint

as of 1/1/2025 Novo Nordisk has dramatically increased the cost of GLP-1 Drug Ozempic and by doing so have driven myself and other diabetic patients away from a drug that is improving our overall health. For example my recent prescription refill from last quarter was $200 out of pocket for a 3 month refill. This was part of my health plan's 70% coverage out of pocket cost. I started Wegovy one month ago and now it is unavailable from Optum Rx. I must lose 30 lbs. because of my health issues which requires a significant surgery because of my elevated diaphragm. My breathing is seriously compromised and the manufacturers of Wegovy are not returning my calls to solve this problem. How can I start this medication w/o continued supply??? I take Ozempic and filled prescription at Walgreens in Miamisburg for 237 for 4 injections at 2 ml per shot. I got 3 shots from vial and 4 th did not work or flow out. I called Walgreens on 11-19-24 and said had to call Ozempic or Novo which I did as on phone 30 minutes and refused to grant a 1 shot vial. Explained vial defective no flow on test she said could not replace as nor there problem . This company ripping thousands of people off and can not replav ce one shot dure to company rules. Wegovy pen did not inject medication despite being administered as taught by a provider. We have had weeks of problem-free injections to this point. I spoke with MacKenzie on your patient support team this morning who informed me a replacement pen is not available because my wife's provider prescribed three months of 0.5mg instead of the typical monthly dose increase. I tried to explain to her that the PEN malfunctioned which isn't a function of DOSAGE but she insisted we were simply out of the cost and benefit of a week's dose because of how it was PRESCRIBED.Initial Complaint

On Feb. 17, 2024, at CVS store in ************, **. I used the Novo Nordisk discount card to purchase ******* at *** paying $161 copay instead of the $25 that I was supposed to pay. I contacted NovoCare Nordisk right away and they had me to mail the receipt the discription of what happened and they agreed to refund me the money that was overpaid in Feb. 2024. Each month I call to get status and I was told that they sent a check in June 2024 which I never received. Now each time I call from Aug Sept Oct 2024 they tell me that they are still tracing the refund check. They are givine me the run around and hoping I go away. On may 2024 I was prescirbed ******* via Hennepin healthcare ******************** at ************************************** - Perscriptions were filled at the pharmacy at the same address. All records are on file with the pharmacy.I was suggested that I sign up for the WEGOVY discount program to provide savings on ******* as I started my course as prescribed. The medication is provided in a "Ramp Up to effective dose" which is considered 2.4 MG 4x a month via auto injector pens. Discount information BIN ****** PCN CNRX GRP AC20029003 ID *********** PHONE ************** I received a total of 5 prescriptions of the lower does from .5 to 1.7 MG and was given the discount price of 850 (x1) and 650 (x4) for these refills - these are simply to get the body used to the medication and see how I would react to the medication before going to the effective dose - little to no weightloss was expected at these lower doses even though the cost was quite substantial. When I went in to get my first "Effective" dose of 2.4 MG I was told that the Discount offered by Wegovy (ie Novo Nordisk) could no longer be used and I must pay the full price in excess of $1400 for my first actually dose that would actually do what it was prescribed to do.I feel this is a blatant "Bait and Switch" which cost me $3450 on the "ramp up" doses of medication only to pull the rug out from under me and demand that I start paying full price EXACTLY when the larger dose was to start. As the lower doses were not effective and I was mislead into believing that I was going to be receiving the full dose at the discounted price I am asking for a full refund of all prices of the "Ramp up" medications they would not have been needed if I had known the discount would not be offered on the full dose. I am rejecting this response because:I was not requesting to be part of the wegovy savings program. I was requesting a refund of payment for being lured in by the promise of the savings program that they initially DID offer only to have said saving removed when I reached the point of taking an effective dose. I would not have began taking the medication at all if I had known that the discount would later be withdrawn so I spent money without reaching the benificial level that I would not have otherwise. I am requesting a full refund for the doses that were initially purchased.
