I have used Catherine's Landscaping for 2 years for lawn service and other small landscaping jobs. In April 2022 I spoke with the owner ******************************* to discuss a paving job. I was quoted a price of $5400 to install pavers, a garden and to add top soil to level my yard. ******* asked for a deposit to start the work. I went to the bank, withdrew $2500 cash and he met me at my house to pick up the money. I had him sign a receipt and he had me fill out an invoice. He was to start the work the following week. He told me that it would be a three day job. The following week he did not show up. The week after he told me I needed to remove a section of my fence so that he could bring in a *** Cat machine to dig out the yard. I had my contractor remove the section of the fence. He showed up 2 days later, dug out the yard and then never started the paving job. Weeks went past with me calling him and him telling me that he would be there to do the work. That never happened. Finally after 4 weeks passed I asked for a refund. Every day he would give me a new excuse as to why he did not bring me the money. I told him I needed the pavers done for my son's graduation party and since he did not do the work I really needed my refund. He then told me that he had the material and he couldn't sell the material so he asked me if he could do the job, he promised me that he would have it completed by Sunday 6/12. That never happened. I kept calling, texting and he never responded. At this point 2 months have passed, I was not able to give my son a graduation ************** has huge gouges in it and I have to pay extra for landscaping and ******* has not returned my calls or my money. I am a single mother and feel like he has taken advantage and has basically stolen from me and my children forcing me to file complaints.
