I got hearing aids from hearing like a little over a month ago. I had to return them due the sensory issues I was having due to my autism. I was told I would receive my refund of $1450 in 7-10 days and I have still not received it.

      Business response

      04/10/2024

The refund process has been completed. We apologize for the delay.

I am rejecting this response because:
Refund is sent sorry for the delay is unacceptable. Yes I like that I will get my refund and this is due to one of your hard working employees. But to simply say sorry for the delay is a insult.

The encounter happened on 3/18/2024Business Name: HearingLife **************, ** location Charged $95 - paid $70 I made the appointment to have the hearing aids serviced because it was due for cleaning and maintenance it is a great brand bought just a couple of years ago. First the "Doctor of Audiology" ******************************* was introduced to us: myself and my 85 y.o. mother. I said I was expecting to see the audiologist that saw us last time, we were obviously not told we were seen someone else. First few words that came from ****************** was about service plans available, as she encouraged to buy a one year plan I told her we wanted just adjustment and cleaning because we suspected the hearing aids may still be covered by warranties. She took both hearing aids by hand and left away from site, she came back with one of them damaged, I insisted it wasn't like that when she took from our hands and she insisted it was. My mother is extremely careful handling those and we felt that we were either being discriminated or she was too rough, careless or purposely pushed in the rubber wax barrier inside the canal of the left hearing aid. It was not like that I complaint, I wasn't going to pay for non service and ******************************* insisted on her "time spen"t and "the cleaning"-My mother was crying she didn't understand what had happened with her aids, by then it was beeping and hurting her ears and missing the rubber wax protection plus the tube all inside the canal. ******* demanded payment as the front desk person said she was going to call the police to remove my mom from the office. My mother was crying, they broke my mother's hearing aids and still we had to pay $70 for damaging her aids. Next day we had to find a legit facility buy extra warranty so it could be sent to the factory for repair, now my mother will have to wait 10 days until it returns from the factory repair. Zero compassion, extremely rude and unprofessional. Pls remove *********************************** report her.I hv docs.

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concern. We have investigated the issue. It is not uncommon for hearing aids that are a few years old to have components that require manufacturer services just due to normal wear and tare. Sometimes, these issue do not get identified until a "Clean and ******* ******* and consultation with a licensed provider is completed. When these services are completed on non-warranted hearing aids, applicable fees are applicable. The fees are determined to be appropriate in this case.

This company has been calling me nonstop for months to the point I've had to block several numbers claiming to be them. I answered once to no response and as soon as I mentioned the BBB was hung up on. They have been told to remove my number as I have no idea how they even got it but yet they continue to harass me.

I used them as a hearing aid provider in 2020 due to covid. I was happy with them then but no longer have hearing coverage so I haven't been back. For the past six months to year they have been robocalling me regularly and refuse to stop even though I have asked them to on multiple occasions. From reviews I have read this standard business practices for them. I also have reported them to the do not call site multiple times. I just want my number removed from all their lists and the calls to stop

On March 21, 2023, I purchased hearings aids costing $7,900 from an authorized HearingLife audiologist office in ***********, **. I made the purchase in good faith having been told the office called and confirmed a $3,000 benefit through BlueCrossBlueShield of ********. With my benefit confirmed, the office proceed to set-up financing which I am currently paying. Fast forward to almost a year later, HearingLife is now coming after me for $3,000 that BCBS will not pay because the costs of the hearing aids are out of plan. HearingLife sold me (a senior citizen) hearing aids I likely didnt need, and deliberately waited long after the 30-day return period expired to come after me for the full cost of the aids. If they had contacted me right away, I would have exchanged the expensive hearing aids for a pair within my plan or continued shopping around elsewhere. Rather, they deceptively waited all these months to come after me when I dont have any recourse now but to pay the $3,000.I expect HearingLife to do the right thing by either 1) taking back the hearing aids and providing me a refund or 2) adjusting the amount due to a reasonable amount as a way of sharing in the cost of the mistake.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I dont know the invoice adjustment the business proposes, as the response was vaguely written with no final adjustment amount indicated. Can I expect further communication from the business on this topic for clarity?

My mothers sister is a retired veteran who has a traumatic brain injury and has severe hearing loss. The location in Greenville has unethical scammers working their. The audiologist told my 85 year old mother to apply for a care credit card to pay for her sisters hearing aids. He told my mother her sister was eligible for a new pair and he verified it and since my mother and sister lived together the check from federal ********** could be used to pay the card. He lied about my mothers sister was eligible for a new pair of hearing aids and now my 85 year old mother is stuck with a credit card payment she cant pay and the hearing aids dont work. This has been reported to Carecredit fraud **** the office manager even made up a salary when she submitted the credit card appliication. Dont get scammed by these people if they will scam a veteran with a brain injury they will do anything to get commission. I called the corporate office spoke to a person never heard from them and the local office no response. Take your business to an ethical ciompany this is not one. Run Quick they will tell you anything to get a sale and take advantage of elderly people. Shame on you!!!!!
