1 starI was hearing squirrels. You could hear them running, gnawing, making loud noises in my attic . So I called them for their services that cost me $2000. I had called them a week before my warranty was up to let them know I was hearing noises again. Talk to them and they was going to send someone out and no one never called or showed up and a day after my warranty was up I received an email stating that my warranty was up and if I needed services it was going to cost me more money. Please read reviews before selecting any companyReview fromJudith C

1 starI would not recommend this company for the following reasons: poor service/not showing up as scheduled, lack of communication/phone calls not returned, difficulty getting appropriate refunds. We contracted on May 7, 2024, the job was not completed as quoted due to constant no shows, all transactions were finally completed on July 2, 2024 with a refund for incomplete work.Review fromKeith B

1 starStay away from this company. They prey on the elderly. My Mother lives in a duplex, in a retirement village in **********, where a critter, (turned out to be a raccoon), took up residence in her attic. My brother set a live trap up in her attic. After a week my Mother could still hear the raccoon and had Critter Control come out to take a look at what needed to be done to get rid of the critter and stop him from coming back. The tech, ****, who came out, spent an hour looking in my Mom's attic and outside her house, including the outside roof. ****, saw the live trap in the attic, but said there was nothing in it when he was up in the attic. At the end of his inspection he then showed my Mom photos of what he found, which included holes in the roof, (belonging to the neighbor side of the house where the critter was getting in), matted down insulation and critter messes in my Mom's side of the attic. He then gave her a quote of over $5,000!! This included the removal of the critter, installation of a simple, metal barrier and one way door in the sophists going between the two attics, clearing out of old insulation, (approx. 300 sq. ft.), and clean up critter messes. He then had my Mom sign for services that his company would be doing and give him a deposit of $4,000!Once I found out I reached out to **** and asked him about the amount he quoted my Mother and why there was no itemized materials list. He said that Critter Control does not provide itemized material lists. I then informed him that in order for us to do business with his company we would need that itemized materials list, which he said he would get to us. He never did and we have not heard back from him. Be aware of what Critter Control is trying to sell you. Never sign until you are sure it's what you actually need, consult a 2nd opinion and make sure they give you their quote in writing before they leave, not emailed to you. Buyer beware!Review fromDonna W

1 starI have shelled out$2000 to rid the squirrels first from my ***** and now, because the company takes its time to show up- from my walls. I am so unnerved I want to sell my house. The salesperson always has time for you but the actual workers are no where to be found. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!Im learning the hard way.I wish I had read the reviews firstReview fromTodd F

1 starI purchased several of the Critter Control service programs for over $2,500.00 including wildlife trapping. What Critter Control does not disclose upon execution of the pest control contract is that the wildlife trapping for $599.00 only includes ONE trapping. Its unclear whether an animal must be caught for the one trap to be exhausted. I had one trap set at my house for a possum or similar animal and, after that; every animal that has started to ****** under at the footing of my house is not covered will cost another $599.00 to trap. This is absurdly ridiculous and unquestionably overpriced. $599.00 per trapping is unconscionable and downright highway robbery. I called and spoke to a customer service representative and was advised that the prices are the prices; that Critter Control is corporate, and that speaking to a supervisor or a manager would be of no help. Critter Control would rather lose my business for a lifetime than to provide competent and diligent customer service. How shameful!Review fromAdam E

1 starFastest way I have ever lost $$$$ dollars I paid to have them STOP coming and pretending like they did something. Horrible!*Day one: walked yard convinced me of extreme mole activity. Placed 3 traps front yard.*Never caught a single mole.*So they placed only placed 4 traps (in a 9 ft bunch) 2-3 weeks later only after complaining to the company that I felt this was not worth the money, I was told they will handle things*They never went anywhere else for treatment in the whole yard. Except the guy who gases the moles was surprised when I addressed treatment to the back yard still. So he proceeded to gas on one of my sprinkler holes thinking it was a moles hole.*Being that you sign a contract for $$$$to start and $$$ each month, I couldnt stand to support such unprofessional practices.*I kindly told them Ill pay what was on the contract, only if they discontinued service.**Be careful!*****(I offered to provide time stamps on my cameras that would show they would only be on my property almost 7 minutes and then disappear doing minimal work. Most of the time was spent in their company automobile).Review fromDomingo C

1 starUsing Critter Control was an absolute disaster. The technicians were not knowledgeable at all and often told untrue facts about raccoons, gestation times, racoon birthing season and when baby raccoons are active and mobile, etc. They installed a one-way door on the entrance that the racoon used but because they did not secure the door correctly, the raccoon was able to get back in and give birth to baby raccoons. The company then charged $399 because raccoon had babies when, if entrance was secured properly, mother would not have gotten back in and had babies in the attic. Next, they tried using scented cotton ***** to drive the mother out. They would come back about every week for several weeks and put more cotton ***** on the attic. This obviously was not working. So, they charged $499 to use a scope camera to try to find the raccoons in the walls. The contract states that if the raccoons are found in an accessible area, they would try to extricate them (not guaranteed). They drilled a bunch of holes in the wall but did not find the raccoons. They kept the $499 though. In all, my father, who is 81 years old, paid the company $2400 in total to remove the raccoon, and clean up. After 9 weeks $2400 was spent nothing had been accomplished. The company called and said we are out of options, theres nothing more we can do. Another company was called and they removed the mom raccoon and her babies in less than 48 hours. There were several things in the contract they were paid for that were not completed such as Ectoparasite Treatment, Sanitizing Treatment, etc. I did ask for a partial refund and they agreed to $658 over the phone but they only refunded $469. Absolutely horrible experience. And we still had raccoons. I do not recommend ******* ** Critter Control.
