Mostly debt collection BUT instead of sending you an invoice or debt validity like most companies they immediately send it to court for a process server to summons and garnish you. Beware they do NOT give you a chance to make payments or verify the debt is even yours until summoned, Straight to court you go. Very Crooked lawyers, debt collectors.

************** This group is a SCAM AND SHOULD BE DiSBANDED AS WELL AS HELD ACCOUNTABLE IN A CLASS ACTION SUIT. In one of the previous reviews about them leaving complaint copy from the court filing on the door and not in any records or credit file - and in my case, mailed a copy of asking a court for a 120 day extension to cure - when the bill, which was not identified or listed is fraudulent and filed in *****, *******. So, everyone should be aware of these scam artists and continue to report their activity to the BBB and proper authorities for harassment.

They filed a Notice to Cure against my husband and I in March 2024 on a personal unsecured loan with ************* over 8 years ago and received no notification of this company taking over financial obligation. We filed an answer to their Notice and now we have to appear before a magistrate judge to settle. They have many inconsistencies in their paperwork that will be spelled out in a Motion to Dismiss to be filed with Court. I also have put this matter in my attorneys hands.

I found out about velocity investments on 02/20/2024 and there was a summons taped to my door. I read the summons, went straight to my files, credit reports, and bank statements for the amount they had listed. Did not find anything with Velocity investments or ************ listed. I then filed an answer with them and the court dated 02/24/2024. I googled Velocity Investments and found out that they buy old debt so I requested that they verify the debt asking for account information showing where funds had been deposited, asking for a signature or copy of my ID/DL proving this was my debt that they had bought. They sent me a stack of documents, but failed to provide me with proof this debt was/is mine. If this was my account why do they not have ANY account or routing numbers? A copy of anything verifying my identity? NOTHING verifying my identity. While waiting for verification i received more paperwork requesting I provide info i had requested from them. One would think if they deposited money into my accounts they would have this information and could have given it to me when i requested it, if it were actually my debt. They bought this debt back in December of 2022. They had 5 days LEGALLY within purchase to notify me. Until 14 MONTHS later on 02/20/2024 i had no knowledge of the original account or that they had bought it. If they thought this debt was actually mine, why wait 14 months to contact me? why not call my number or write me a letter within that 5 day timeframe required by law? At this point I am filing the answers to their questions with the court and then I will be contacting an attorney. I feel like they just decided i was the right ***************************** and me actually owing or not is unimportant to them. Clearly following the law and contacting me within the 5 days is unimportant to them.I do NOT have a legal obligation to Velocity Investments or ************** They have failed to show me any proof at all this debt is, was or ever has been mine.

Velocity Investments sent letters to an old address about a debt that I do not owe them I have never heard of this company. They sued me but the paperwork was sent to an old address. I never even got a chance to respond so now they have levied my bank accounts.

I have received letters from multiple law firms regarding being sued. Needless to say I thought this had to be a mistake but since I received another letter from a firm wanting to help me and that it was velocity investments, LLC that is suing me. I immediately went to my credit report. Nothing showing on credit report or anywhere that shows me what this would be about. I have never even heard or seen anything about velocity investments before this. I had to look them up online. I need information because this is crazy being sued and clueless on why. I have tried multiple times contacting this place regarding the problem at hand with no response at all. Nothing received from velocity even saying they are suing me. Only way I know this is from a law firm wanting to help and they put in letter who was suing me.

Velocity Investments, LLC and ***************, are despicable in the way they handle debt collecting. They have harrassed family members, verbally abused me when I told them I was unemployed and didn't have the money. At the time when covid was at its height and I was trying to get unemployment benefits. They froze my back account, which only had the unemployment money. And took all the $110].00 dollars i had . I was already behind on bills. I couldn't get any money from unemployment any more since I don't have a bank account. They called and threatened me to have arrested for not answering the notices from. The court, when I told them I was living in my car they. Sent people to tow the car. Velocity and *************** in ***** threatened to my parents with bodily harm, if they didn't tell them were I was . The people the sent to my parents house ,.slapped my dad and told them they would find me and kill me if I didn't go to court and pay My parents address is the only one I had until Velocity ruined my life. Now my car is repossessed I don't own anything, no property, no family but they still keep filling lawsuits. I am living in the streets and using a library computer to write this.

I am not liable for this debt with Velocity Investments, LLC. I was never given any certified documentation or proof of its authenticity. I don't have a contract with them owning this alleged debt.

I did get a loan thru Upstart and unfortunately during Covid I was un-able to pay and defaulted on the loan. I managed to set up deals with all my other creditors and get on a debt management plan. I only received two calls from Upstart and explained my situation and never heard from them again. now I just receiver a summons and complaint from Velocity Investments saying they are suing me I owe the loan to them. However, I never received an email, phone call, and nothing was mailed to me. One gentleman approached my door around mid July and I asked who he was, he told me his name and asked if I knew who **************** was, I told him no and he just walked away and said okay. Then last week I had a rude lady approach my residence. I wasn't home but answered her thru my ring camera. She asked my name and I told her I wasn't home but she had an attitude and started taking pictures of inside my home thru my front door. She then came back on Aug 20th, I wasn't home and she handed the lawsuit to my daughter. The lawsuit was signed in May. I've been freaking out all week. How am I supposed to have enough time get my affairs in order. I've recently tried to call the law office and Velocity to make arrangements. ********** did not return my call and I can't reach Velocity. I want to make arrangements before they garnish my wages and I am forced to file bankruptcy. I have sent them a Verification letter. My hope is to add the debt to my existing debt management. I just want this gone. Talk about unfair credit practices.

Never heard of this company nor do I have a legal agreement with Velocity Investments LLC.I am NOT liable with VELOCITY INVESTMENTS LLC. I do not have a binding contract with Velocity Investments LLC.
