1 starSuch a mess happens when bad leaders like ***** and ***** rule the country. But it's not just them, other predecessors too. But now what's happening in the country is total arbitrariness. Various business services do whatever they want with customers, and the government doesn't deal with domestic affairs but with the affairs of other countries, including waging wars.Moving companies like Magellan should have their licenses suspended. For not respecting current and future customers. Both rude owners and drugged employees should receive penalties.People who choose moving companies should look everywhere for good opinions of the company they choose, but not only from one source. Because it may not be reliable. Weak moving company owners pay scammers from ***** to write them false positive reviews. That is why it is important to check many sources at the same time. ******, Yelp, BBB and many others. YElP is one of the most reliable reviews that people leave. Because YELP filters user accounts much more than any other sites. ****** is not 100% reliable, it is not filtered as ******* is always worth going back earlier or setting the lowest rate option and reading these reviews and comparing whether the same problems in the reviews are repeated. If so, a red light should go off for you. Your best decision will be whether you will be fooled or not.Never fall for low prices that are too low. This can be a trick. As soon as you sign a contract and the company loads your things, they will later demand thousands of dollars more from you. And if you do not agree, your things will not be delivered. You will have no choice, and you will pay because you will want your things above all else. And even if you pay extra and they deliver you things, a lot may be broken and some missing. Then no one will help you, because the law does not work well. Customer, do not be fooled by weaklings. There are also honest companies with which you can be very satisfied.Review fromBarrington H

1 starMAGELLAN VAN LINES is a THIEF. Their representative ****** specifically stated that if I were to accept their quote I could cancel if services are no longer needed and RECEIVE A FULL REFUND; that is a lie. Reference No: M7578535 was cancelled on the same day after I explained I would NO LONGER NEED THEIR SERVICES. I sent the cancellation request and since then whenever I call these people to ask why theres still a charge on my account no one picks up. *** left multiple messages and still have not received any return call. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE OR ANY WORDS FROM MAGELLAN VAN LINES. THEY WILL ROB YOU. THEYRE BROKERS AND NOT MOVERS.. MAGELLAN VAN LINES IS A SCAM!!!! IM DOWN $762.30 AND IM NOT EVEN USING THEIR SERVICES.Review fromKate F

1 starThis company has every red flag on the DoT website, DO NOT TRUST THEM.1) Lies to get you to book with them quickly. They lied directly to me when I asked if they owned their own trucks, if my stuff would be on a truck with other people's things, if it would go directly from point a to point b, if the estimate was binding, & if my deposit was refundable. For my part, I should have read the agreement thoroughly to understand these details, but they are SO convincing & nice when they are trying to get business that I believed them & ended up being so wrong. By the time I realized this & tried to cancel & get my deposit back, I was stuck.2) They gave me a 2 day pick up ********** had a flight out the next morning. They called me at noon the 2nd day & said they wouldn't make it that day for pick up & would not compensate me for having to change my flight, had no concern that I had to be out of my apartment that day. They gave me a $100 discount & ended up charging me other ridiculous fees that offset the entire thing.3) Random Fees: Some of these are mentioned in the agreement fine print, but I've found it changes from day to day. One day elevators are free, but at drop off they tried to charge me $100 elevator charge that is not disclosed. They tried to charge me 3x the long carry fee for the distance I had, probably thinking I wouldn't measure myself.4) They had my inventory wrong, which I told them before they loaded, & refused to recount boxes. Got in a huge argument with me over it & only would recount when I refused to sign the inventory list after they loaded up.5) They tell you they are not a broker to get you to sign up & then conveniently when they never have answers for you on ETA or if you will ever see your things again, they're "just the broker and you need to talk to the carrier". There is something fishy going on here though because I would call the carrier & leave ********************************* would call me back within minutes like I had called them.Review fromMargaret G

1 starThe ONLY pro to this move was that NONE of my furniture was damaged. The cons!!!!1. I was quoted for 15 items at approx $2500. My items NEVER changed, I was as descriptive as possible. (Quoted for 350 cu ft)2. Packers came and then all the sudden I used 900 cu ft raising my cost to almost 6k! And I can only pay using Cashapp, Venmo, or cash.(I couldnt do anything about this, they packed my stuff in the trailer already).3. NEXT was the waiting process for an update of my items arrival. I was told they could be delivered within 3-5 days. After a week, I was notified and told Im not sure where you got that information from because it could be up to 21 days - this was brand new information for me so I was upset.4. My items now have been picked up and somewhere for going on three weeks.5. I get a phone call in which the man stated your items will arrive 3-8 days AFTER the weekend and you have to pay cash. Mind you - the remaining balance was 2k! Ok no worries, I went out of town and was able to pull the amount from the bank instead of the ATM.6. Now for the GRAND finale. The day arrives, I get a call/text from the movers giving me an ETA to the house. I verified address and then explained my husband would be there for the delivery. My husband calls me to tell me that the mover got turned around at the gate. (This is a military installation). My husband makes his way to the gate to find out that the driver had warrants and could not come on post. Now I am livid!!! From day one I explained the items were going ON POST and you have to have an ID, to obtain a pass to come on. The military police ****** the truck on the installation to deliver my items. They tell him and my husband, you have 30 min and then you need to leave. At first the individual refused to even show my his dad our items before demanding the remaining balance. MY HUSBAND AND HIS UNIT downloaded the items and brought them in the house and set up.Review fromMelissa P

1 starPlease read all the 1 Star reviews and you will see a pattern. I did get my shipment in a reasonable timeframe however it was everything else that is very bait & switch. First, this is a broker! I made the mistake of not phrasing my question properly when I asked them & was given an evasive answer which led me to think they were the actual van line. Then my $14,000 estimate ended up being $22,000 when it was all said & done. They contract out to sketchy, small van lines. Even charged me an extra $75 at delivery for stairs. They showed up in a box truck for a cross country move. It took a truck & half so it then all has to be transferred into yet another truck. They tell you cash/venmo/zelle at delivery but I had no idea how low those limits were so I was then running around on delivery day trying get $7,000 in cash pulled together so they would unload. The so called insurance is .60/pound so bose subwolfer they broker doesn't weigh very much so guess what that means? Same with a large wall clock they didn't even pack or protect at all. Bottom line, the reputable van lines will seem expensive but I promise in the end you will pay more with these people and have a heart attack in the meantime. I could go on for days about this but I'll leave it at...JUST DON'T, stay far away.Review fromLfrantouris E

1 starWhom it may concern,I just had two gentlemen drive three hours to pick up my household with a U-Haul rental truck and know documents. I never received a call from the contractor informing me that someone would show up this morning. The gentleman didnt know where my furniture was going after they pick it up. I told them it was going to *********. Then, the contractor call me. He was very unprofessional with his language. I told him he could pick the furniture up himself on Sunday since these two gentleman had know ideal what was going on. He told me to f myself and he was going to call the broker to tell them I wouldn't let the gentleman pick it up. I have know problem with him picking up as long as he have all the documents. That's not the way you handle business. No one ever responded to me after plenty of tries via email or textReview fromJia'anna C

1 starTHIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO EVER WORK WITH. Took our deposit, took our stuff, we want to pay them, but they will not allow us to pay them. Lied about the moving date, lied about movers coming out multiple times. Lied to us about getting our stuff multiple days. We are fighting to get our stuff still. They were supposed to move our stuff on 12/31. We still do not have our stuff moved. Paid $651 for a deposit, still will not move our stuff. Lied about letting us pay when they come up here. Liars and thieves.Review fromEmil F

1 starThis has been a nightmare since Day 1. The communication is horrible. I got suckered in by *********************** with Magellan Van Lines. They then forget about you after the first payment and you deal with the truckers directly. *** gave me sob stories when he wouldn't answer my calls. Supposed to be delivered in my window of 30th and 31st...4 days later said "next three days" and it's still not here. Stay away -- pay the extra money for a proper company. This also used to be called **************************************** they changed their names, for what I assume is to "start fresh". It's cheap, and they're all charlatans.Review fromMario T
