My trucks air compressor went out and I took it locally to a heavy duty truck shop in Alamogordo, NM. I gave the approval of replacing the compressor/ condenser, two front shocks and fix the driver door ,due to being unable to open from the outside. Brought the truck in on the 9th picked up on the sixteenth. Paid $3418. Door not fixed. Drove truck to my house, belt started fraying. Called them to let them know about the issue. Took it to another truck repair to replace the belts just to find out that the compressor that was installed was a car compressor and that's what was causing the belt issue.. $1200 for replacing the belts. Waiting on the new compressor to be ordered and will get an estimate on that. So, should I take this to small claims? I have been stuck for over 2 weeks now. Lost out on several loads and savings is dwindling fast. I just want the refund of the compressor and door plus the cost of replacing the belts and tensioner due to their error. The only thing that was done correctly was front steering shocks which cost $201.40 for 2 shocks and labor of $110.00 $3418.77 - $311.40 = $3107.37 + $1200 $4307.37

    Mrs. ****** ,

The A/C compressor had failed not your air compressor which is a totally different component on a semi truck.  We were contacted on the 9th about this issue.  We ordered parts on the 10th. Parts arrived on the 13th and truck was dropped off by Mr. ****** on the morning of the 14th.  At that point he added repairing the door lock, but the truck repairs had to be done by the end of the day on the 15th.  So the truck was brought into the shop first thing on arrival and our mechanic worked on it all day and the next day Mr. ****** showed up up at 11am wanting to pick up his truck.  Mr. ****** was informed that the repairs were not done and we had not contacted him saying such.  Mr. ****** insisted that he needed to pick up his truck. The door issue was never completed because Mr. ****** insisted on picking up the truck right then.  My mechanic never had the opportunity to test drive the check or check system and verify all was good.  As soon as the mechanic had completed putting the door back together and charging the A/C system Mr. ****** wanted the truck released.  Upon finding the belts had frayed the truck should have been returned to Neudorf Enterprises, LLC so that we could have taken care of any and all problems. At one point the truck was brought in and both my parts manager and service manager told Mr. ****** we would address it and fix it as soon as possible.  Parts Department was in the process of finding the correct A/C compressor but our efforts were not fast enough for Mr. ****** and he became upset and left.  We had a answer as to when the correct A/C compressor would be here with in 10 minutes.  The A/C compressor that was ordered was ordered off the VIN of the truck.  The A/C compressor was the correct one and was not a automobile A/C compressor the pully was the wrong rib count. Given the opportunity to correct this issue we could have replaced the incorrect pully all under warranty at no cost to you.  We are liable for all our repairs and made every attempt to correct this incorrect part. Mr. Neudorf even contacted you with information on our warranty programs. I understand that even the Napa program informed you that the truck repair needed to be performed by Neudorf Enterprises, LLC.  I apologize for this issue it has been hard on both parties involved.  Although I do feel we could of resolved this issue in a timely warrantable manner if we would have been given the opportunity.

Brought my truck into Neudorf because was quoted a price of , no more than $2400-$2600 for A/C compressor and front shocks. After compressor was put on was told they were waiting for the expansion valve to guarantee the warranty for the A/C. Paid $3418.77. Brought the truck home just to wait for parts and serpentine belt start fraying due to improper installation. Called them at 8am to let them know and to see if they had the belt. Was told to give them 4 hours to check. Went to the shop @ 9:30 to ask for refund so I could take elsewhere. Handed me the expansive valve that I have been waiting for. Brought the truck in on 6/9 it is now 6/17 and truck is incomplete other than shocks. Paid $1639.00 for incomplete labor and now have to pay $83 for serpentine belt and $200+ labor elsewhere. Was told that nothing can be done.

    Hello Sir,

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. By no means did we ever intend to not correct the problem. When you brought your truck and requested that the A/C compressor be replaced you were given a estimate not a quote. We do not give out quotes due to the fact that there can be many unforeseen things in vehicle repairs. Also, the compressor was installed correctly but the problem with the part was that it had the wrong pully on the compressor.  We did order the part according to the VIN of the truck unfortunately the pully on compressor was incorrect, my mechanic did install all components correctly.  I know my husband has reached out to you and has tried to get you to bring the truck back so that we could warranty out the incorrect part and correct this situation but you have refused. He has also explained to you that we have 2 warranty programs that you could file a claim with.  He has given you the TechNet and the Napa Warranty program information so that you can get a claim filed. I do apologize again for the issues we have encountered, a situation such as this is never good for customer or shop. Your business is important to us and we would still like the opportunity to warranty the part out and help you retain warranty on parts and labor.
