  I was referred recently to Duke City Urgent Care to have the wax covering my right ear drum removed. I experienced excruciating pain and blood coming out of my right ear. I requested a copy of Duke City's medical record. It was full of falsehoods. It said I tolerated the procedure well (I was screaming from the pain) and that there was no bleeding. I have the cotton ball that had been placed in my right ear after the procedure as well as a handkerchief I used at the time. Each has my blood on it. The medical record made mention only one their staff members as being involved whereas there had been five.

  Unbelievable- scam artists. So watch out because we only went twice and I was billed from them thousandsbut they do it every few months you get a bill. So I argued why am I being billed 8 months after I saw you. Got some BS explaination and finally got someone to say wow something isnt right here! Let us look at it and get back to you. Never got a call back, ever. I ended up having to pay it because I have a fantastic credit score and these jerks were threatening collections also never explaining my bill OR sending me a breakdown as requested!! No wonder my insurance turned them down. Also my insurance sent me a bill showing how much they paid them and how much I did!! Unbelievable I went in because my daughter and I had the flu. They literally made thousands on this and have no one on staff that can breakdown a bill or send you what you ask. If you want to send these guys everything in your bank account please go in there because their billing department is horrible and they are definitely scammers

  I came to Duke City because I am sick like most do when they cant get into their PCP same day. I was immediately informed before even told hi or anything I had a past due balance I wasnt aware of. I informed the girl I had different insurance and I wasnt even asked if I wanted to pay the balance right then and there. She proceeds to tell me to have a seat and calls the billing department and makes sure to speak as loudly as possible. So everyone in the lobby could hear how much I owe, what my name, DOB, my new insurance, when it became active, it I was allowed to be seen (again not asked to pay right away), and then when I get called back to the desk tries to explain to me what the whole lobby already heard I then proceed to tell her yeah we could all hear you and I was told ** trying to help you dont be rude to me but apparently shes not aware how rude she was to me. Its clear that they have no respect for hipaa and need to be retrained.
