Dr. ********** of IMS/ Dr. ****** ******* office provided servies which included an annual physical and an ultra sound . First they billed the wrong insurance company. An insurance company I have not been with for over two years. Secondly they billed the wrong insurance policy number after I had provided them correct information on multiple occasions. Now that they finally have the correct information figured out, they ************** continue to bill me for services in the amount of $95.00 which was paid on 11/23/22 with the check clearing their ban on 11/30/22. I have provided them with a copy of the bill, a copy of the cancelled check and all email correspondence to date regarding this situation. I've left voice mail messages and have received no response. Today, I received yet another bill stating this amount is past due. My concern is damage to my personal credit due to their gross incompetence. If this is happening to me, how many other patients are experiencing these same issues; double billing, possibwe fraudulent billing practices?

This letter is in response to the complaint that was received by your office from ****** ******. In his complaint, Mr. ****** states the IMS didn't send him a statement with the breakdown of charges. I have attached the statement that was sent. The total amount due to IMS is $95.00, which are his copay amounts. I ahve also attached the explanation of benefits from his insurance company.

I am wondering if he is speaking of the charges from ***** ** *******. The two visits on the statement are for ultrasound performed in our office by an ultrasound tech. We have also submitted the insurance information to ***** ** ******* with his demographics.

If that is the case, IMS does not have any control over what ***** ** ******* charges. They do have the right to charge, as they provided a service.

    Sincerely,

    **** ********

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I need written confirmation that the charges she references, $95.00 has been received and that I am paid in full. I submitted a copy oif the cancelled check in the amount of $95.00 yet they continued to bill me in this same amount. The problem is that the provider and their 3rd party billing service do not communicate and I am being subject to these miscommunications resulting in my being billed even though they have been paid in full.

This situation will not be resolved until I receive this written communication from IMS. Please note that a copy of the cancelled check is availble for review, though this has been provided to IMS on more than one occasion.

    Regards,

    ****** ******
