Hello I purchased a cabinet while vacationing in Santa Fe, NM on April 8th, 2022. I paid $542.19 as a down payment to have the cabinet built and planned to settle the difference upon receiving the cabinet. Total bill was $1,084.38. The cabinet was to be built in El Paso, TX and then shipped to me in Cedar Rapids, IA. After the initial payment and prior to leaving Santa Fe, NM, I stopped by El Barzon to let ***** (store owner) know that I would be returning home. ***** told me to call him when I get back to Cedar Rapids and he'll have the folks in El Paso call me to arrange shipping. While still in Santa Fe, NM, ***** sent me pics via txt message showing the cabinet prior to being stained to verify it was the correct style. I responded stating it was the correct style I desired. Upon returning to Cedar Rapids, I called ***** several times. Each time I called, he said El Paso was to return my call to setup shipping arrangements within the next day. They never called. I also sent ***** a txt message and received no response. I then proceeded to send him an email to see if this would help the situation any. I received no response to my email. I don't want the cabinet any more and wish to get my down payment refunded. I still have the receipt and the down payment was made using my credit card. Below, I have outlined dates of my phone calls, txt message, and email. Phone Calls: Monday, May 9th - No return call from El Paso Saturday, May 14th - No return call from El Paso Txt Msg: Wednesday, May 11th - No response Email: Jun 1st - No Response I made one final phone call on a Saturday in August/September timeframe to request my money be refunded. ***** kept stating someone is up in Colorado and to call back on the following Monday. I responded with: '...not understand what Colorado has to do with my refund'. I said this a couple of times. His final response was that they are closed. I made no additional phone calls.Business response

They gave a downpayment for the special order. There was a delay.
The owner will talk with the customer and we will go from there.

I am rejecting this response because:
There's a track record of this business unable to return phone calls. Thus further communication doesn't seem productive. I would like my down payment returned, nothing more.
