1 starBUYER BEWARE. This shop is a trap filled with unqualified mechanics. I bought my car here in June 2024 for a small coolant leak. They said it was water pump so changed it($900) over priced Then when I picked it up and took it literally up the street the overheat light went to red so I took it back afraid I was gonna blow my engine and they said it wasn’t their fault but now I needed a new thermostat so got that fixed another $1200( over priced). But still got the car back kept in for a month and then small leak again so took it back and was told all the tubing in the coolant system needed to be replaced for $3000! After that I didn’t trust them so took it to another shop who showed me that the water pump nor thermostat were ever replaced or were terrible aftermarket parts with no serial numbers or anything but they both had huge cracks in them. I have pictures of the parts removed! I know it’s tough for me to get my money back BUT hoping to save other people from being cheated out of $2k. The new shop charged me $1200 for both including labor and they were genuine OEM parts. No more leaks and they never found these “new leaks” that was supposedly another $3k! I went to suns auto after I was told by triple A that I needed a new engine I told Mario at suns auto that I needed a new engine . They did their check and said I didn’t need a new engine it was the head gasket so I said if your sure to go head and fix it .. they had my car for 2 months when I got it back soon as I left their parking lot the engine comes on . Which they knew it would come on they turned it off and let me leave with the engine light on and my car was making a noise . I took it back they didn’t do nothing to help me but told me to drive 50 miles which by me driving just made my car worse . They put the machine on it and just said it was giving them a bunch of code but did nothing to fix. I ask about the sound they said but aleast it’s running like wtf. .. engine light never went off my car got worse the sound got louder they already knew the problem but just kept lying to me.. I took it to auto zone and they told me the exact problem like how auto zone tell me what’s wrong but a car shop can’t is crazy and it was a who.. I also took it to another sun auto and they told me straight up I need another engine.. so I took it back to suns auto and they finally told me I need another engine like they didn’t know that the whole time .. they had to do a engine tear down when they had my car for two months and said they only checked the top and the bottom but come to find out when u do a engine test down you check the whole engine not just the top so that another lie they told me .. I payed them 3600 out my pocket and still no help . I called customer service and they said the district manager would call me it’s been 2 weeks no call or nothing .. they trying act like because my warranty was denied that they couldn’t fix it which is another lie.. if the warranty didn’t cover i pay out of pocket just like i did so that’s not the case .. I was offer to use the money I gave them toward a engine by the store manager but I just want my money back ..much more to saySun Auto Service

5 starsJust need to give a shout-out regarding the service I received from Sun Auto located at 7350 S Buffalo Drive. I initially was assisted by Mario who opened a 'ticket' for me. My car had 'died' on me. Not knowing anything about cars or any reputable mechanics, the decision to go with Sun Auto was easier as I knew they are BBB accredited. Both my car and I 'limped' in, where I was greeted and promptly put at ease. I left my car and within a couple of hours, Phil was on the phone explaining what was going on with my vehicle. I did have a service warranty that needed further explanation for my understanding and costs. Well to my surprise, my car was done and I was able to retrieve it a few hours later. It is once again a dependable ride! Thank you. I will be back for future servicing to keep my vehicle in check - peace of mind for this senior woman !Review fromElizabeth G

If I could give less stars I would. I went originally to the location on St Rose where they told me nothing was wrong with my car and sent me on my way while the car was turning off and stalling at literally every stop. I chalked it up to inexperience at one location and tried another location on Stephanie where they told me the entire engine needed to be replaced and I would be 14 weeks without my vehicle. When I informed them that I was picking it up for a 2nd opinion they became angry and argumentative and by the time I got my car back from them every warning light was on, the vehicle would not accelerate daytime running lights was disconnected and there was put out cigarettes on the floor of my car and their clipboard of paperwork thrown in the backseat. I'm more anngry about the cigarette in my vehicle than I am about the original vehicle issues. Absolute criminals attempting to take advantage of extended warranty funds. Meanwhile I paid a $250 deductible for them to leave my car in worse condition than it started.Sun Auto Service

I took my car to Sun Auto on January 26, 2024 looking to repair my shocks on my 2017 Buick Lacrosse spoke to sales person Chris he confirmed to me that Sun auto could repair my car. I was told that I had to pay upfront for the repairs, I explained to sales person Chris that I needed my Struts done as well. I paid this company ($3,137.23) for both repairs. Sun Auto unsuccessful in completing any of the repairs after several lies and broken promises regarding locating the parts. after dropping my car off from being at the shop all day was told that they could not repair my Buick. Frank another sales person said that Chris the sales manger said that they will refund me due to not being able to locate the parts. Today as we speak I have not received my refund "NOT A DIME" I have been lied to since January 26, 2024. I am a senior just retired and I get my money taken from me and have fight to get it back! this is unacceptable on any and all levels I want my money back......please help me find a resolution to this issue as as possible, this has created a lot of stress and financial hardship. This review is specifically addressed to Sun Auto Services at 4539 Blue Diamond Rd Las Vegas, Nevada 89139. They are theft!!! On 12/15/2023, I went alone to this auto shop for oil changed. After 30mins waiting, the front desk person, called me and informed me, that my jeep patriot thermostat is badly leaking, will cost $900 to fix it. I don't understand about car issues, so I called my husband and had technician, Mr Martin explained the issues. My husband, mostly understand cars and disputed the issues because we dont see any leaking marks on floor of our garage. And, dont smell like smoky. I took my car home charged me $45 for oil changed w/o setting up my next oil changed indicator. They did not even top off the liquid reservoir, as normally shops do. The next day, my husband a d I took my car for check diagnostic, and they both agree, no leaking in my car thermostat and don't smell something burning as cases like. If I had just let them do the problem, I could had been robbed $900 that day!!! What a theft they are, they new Management, had this bad reputation! Hope this review will be addressed properly. My first time coming in was 8/18/2023 because I was having brake issues and they recommended new brakes and rotors, and also new shocks and serpentine belt. It was more then I want to pay but did the work anyways. salesperson- J- Newbiggin. 2nd time coming in was few months later for a check engine light on emissions. Was told i was my fuel pump, so I did ask are you sure cause this is alot of money and E-Gonzales said this will fix your issue, so we did the work. 11/27/23. Dec 9th check engine light came back on for same code Emissions, and was told a line to the fuel pump was pitched and it was fixed. Dec 11th check engine light came on again and I rushed it back to shop to be told it needed a software update which does not make since. I believe they finally found leak and fixed it. which means I was charged for a fuel pump I never needed. ($1,362.99). Dec 18th my front brakes and rotors just about caught fire and rotors were glowing and smoke so bad I could not see front of truck for minutes while it cooled down and lucky truck did not catch fire. I believe all this stuff that has happen with this shop is not a coincidence and my family is lucky we did catch fire and die. Dec 18th the shop warrantied front brakes and rotors but say both front calipers were bad, so of course I needed my truck fixed so we did the work and was charged for the labor when they had to take off calipers to get to brakes and rotors. ($349.00) labor crazy. After looking back I believe these 2 salespeople put my family in danger and have no clue what was wrong with my truck and lucky no one got hurt. OVERCHARGED!!! My wife took her Lexus to the Saint Rose Pkwy location of Sun Auto Service for an **** inspection. Not knowing what it SHOULD cost, she was charged $92.25 and paid it. I had recently done an Uber inspection at the Volunteer (Sun Auto) location and was only charged $25. I have done other **** inspections, and I also called around, and the most anyone charges is $25, so I went into the Saint Rose Pkwy office and spoke with the manager Mike. He was rude and insisted $92 was the going rate. I would recommend that anyone needing auto repair (or an **** inspection) avoid this location.Sun Auto Service

Joey, JD, Mike (manager) are criminals, do not take your car here. $3100 they tried to steal from me. $2,000 they stole all together. I brought my car here for a problem. They diagnosed the problem and said it would cost $1400. I agreed and the next day they said it was fixed. I asked to test drive the car before I paid for it but they said I could not until I pay . I paid the $1400 . Two hours later , the car had the SAME problem ! I called them to tell them I was stranded on the road with my 2 year old daughter and son but they did not care. I had to argue with them about paying them to fix the problem and it was still having the same problem - the problem was not fixed. After 2 hours of being stranded and talking to SunAuto about the car having the same problem they agreed to tow it to their shop. The next day AutoSun called me and said it was a DIFFERENT problem and it would cost another $1400 to fix!!!! They diagnosed the problem the first time around (which cost me $175 btw) and now they diagnosed it again for the same problem but with a different part of the car to fix. In addition to another $1400 it would cost $300 for the tow!! Criminal. The car had been in great condition up until this problem and now it has multiple different issues that they diagnosed on two different occasions for the same exact issue. I was so frustrated and know I was robbed of my hard earned money. Don’t trust this shop. They misdiagnose, overcharge and leave you feeling hopeless about your car situation. I had no confidence in them fixing my car after $2000 down the drain.Sun Auto Service
