I set an appointment with the business and was told the price would be 120. During the visit a number of tests were suggested and I asked multiple times about the cost of said tests and was told that the tests would need to be administered elsewhere. At the end of the appointment I asked the cost and was again told 120. I paid and left. The next day I get a text telling me I owe another 40 and change. I called the billing **** and was on hold for an hour. Afterwards they told me the 120 was just an estimate. The actual cost was 600+ dollars but I get a 70% discount as I was cash pay. The end result is 160 something leaving a balance of 40. Evidently they believe that visiting their establishment gives them a blank check to fill out later.

13 April 2023, I Came to UMC *********************** for my yearly checkup. The reception told me that everything was going to be covered by my insurance and I wouldnt have to pay anything out of pocket. The Doctor said I needed labs done. I said I only want the labs that are covered by my insurance and the Doctor assured me they would so there would be no out of pocket expenses. A month later, I receive a bill for $****** and $7 . Due to them adding unauthorized tests. I feel UMC took advantage of me, a disabled veteran to make more money for themselves. I would like to be refunded the amount of $133.02 (****** + 7) for all the unauthorized charges.

I have contacted University medical center regarding a bill that theyre stating that I owe $425 for the date of ******* of **** 6, 2022. I have contacted my insurance numerous times as well every single time I contact my insurance company I contact University medical center. Both of my ********** Blue Shield of ******** one is through the union laborers and want to see union carpenters, they both paid this bill I have a zero balance remaining as what my insurance company said. My insurance company today said listen ****, have them call us we will give them all the information that they need. When I contacted ************************* for the second time today stating that my insurance company is more than happy to speak with them and give them all the information they need they said they cannot contact them that they only receive incoming calls and The gentleman said that he was bilingual and hes very busy with phone calls today so he wouldnt be able to do that. But yet in the past when I had contacted University medical center they said that theyve contacted my insurance company many times stating that my insurance company was asking for more information for me. , & they havent paid anything yet. Which is not true because I keep contacting my insurance company and asking them what more do you need from me and they said they dont need anything they never have and theyve already paid the bill. So I could go on about the situation but I am trying to file a complaint regarding ************************* stating that they said that they have not been paid by insurance companies both of them have paid and now I am being threatened to go to collections for a bill thats already been paid . This is out of control from ************************* and I just dont know what else to do my insurance company is more than willing that talk to anybody ,now UMC refuses to contact them. Something doesnt seem right.
