    This company literally lies about their prices and admits so. When you go through checkout they add a bogus $45 surcharge. See snapshot and pop-up text below. The FTC should shut these guys down.

    Recently, we’ve noticed that our competitors have introduced and implemented this tool, used as a means of allowing their upfront display prices on various online advertising channels to appear more competitive. As we know, when a company advertises a lower price, there is increased traffic to their website. Upon the realization that this strategy was being used, we at Contact Lens King stood firmly against applying such a practice. However, in spite of the fact that we offer the lowest bottom line prices, we experienced a decrease in traffic and total orders. Through re-evaluation, and despite our discomfort, we have made the tough decision to adopt the practice as well. Contact Lens King is firmly committed to offering the lowest bottom line prices online, and we want our customers to rest assured that through us, you will always see significant savings in your pocketbook — even with the fee.
    We totally understand that this additional fee can be frustrating, or even infuriating, but we invite you to compare our bottom line prices with our competitors’. We promise we won’t disappoint you!

    It is my first order with Contact Lens King. Prices are very reasonable, but unlike almost ALL of their online contact supplier competition - they charge $13 for shipping (even over $300 order) AND they have some ridiculous processing fee. Unless you read all the fine print, you don't realize there is a processing fee until you checkout. Surprise! And it's not a small fee. I almost didn't order for those 2 reasons as they are strictly a money-grab - - I guess that is how they offset the lower prices. I await to receive my contacts, hopefully everything will be fine.

    HI. Thank you for your order. I apologize for the frustrations regarding both the shipping fee and the processing fee. The shipping rate is a flat fee with each carrier service based on: fuel, taxes, freight and any other related freight costs. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to provide free or reduced shipping. As for the processing fee, we completely understand how frustrating it can be; this is why we do our best to be upfront and transparent starting with the shopping experience. On our product page under the cost of the idea it states: this item is on sale and not eligible for any coupons. A processing fee will apply. When you click on the read more, it will display a popup explaining what the processing fee is and the price per box. Unfortunately, the processing fee is an industry standard among all online authorized retailers. Starting on the product page and all through the checkout process, you will have multiple chances to read about the processing fee.

    What Ive found frustrating and causes me to bounce around to 1800Contacts and BJ's Optical, is they don't carry My Daily brand RX in house. My experience is It's never in stock and I typically wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered. After it arrives at their facility, it's then shipped to me which takes another week, minimum. I don't want to pay more than $12 for shipping. In the past, I've opted, and paid for rush shipping ($22) but I still had to wait 2 weeks for the lenses to arrive in their warehouse. At the time I wasn't told they weren't in stock. They also "put a hold" on the cost of the lenses, before they even arrive at their warehouse. This is usually 3 weeks before I receive the product. My bank account shows it as a processing charge. It would be better practice to simply charge the customer when the lenses ship. On the positive side, customer service typically responds in a timely way, and they're helpful, which is a benefit. They also have consistent coupon offers.

    We’d like to clarify a few details that may help address your concerns. Each product page on our website includes availability information, and some items—particularly custom or specialty lenses—are not kept in full stock due to their made-to-order nature. While most products typically arrive within 1–3 business days, delays can occasionally occur at the manufacturer level, which are unfortunately beyond our control.
    As noted on our website, all shipping timelines are estimates provided by the carrier and begin after the lenses are dispatched from our warehouse. This means processing time is not included in those estimated delivery windows.
    Regarding payment, please rest assured that we only charge your card once the lenses arrive and are ready to ship. At the time of your order and after prescription verification, your card is only authorized—this is simply to confirm that funds are available. The actual charge is processed only when we receive the goods and prepare them for shipping.
