Credit one bank has given me the run around over the years that I have had their credit cards. Their terrible security has caused my account to be stolen multiple times to the point that my bank has permanently started rejecting payments to them. After both of the last cards I got with them were compromised, I received one new card and waited for 2 months before never receiving the second card. After continuing to pay for both accounts, I followed up for the THIRD time as to where my second card is. All of information was correct, however, they finally told me that BOTH of my accounts were closed due to a payment reversal that happened during the account compromise that was THEIR fault to begin with. I was not informed of the account closure, I was not compensated for the compromise or inconvenience, they had no empathy to my situation, and are expecting regular payments still as they slam me with constant interest fees. Now the only way I can pay them is by calling them due to having closed accounts and not having access to their application. Unacceptable response from a business.Business response

I tried to cancel membership with this credit card company. They kept charging me $8.33 a month. I tried calling the company and I couldn't speak to a person. I had my bank stop payment and now they are claiming I owe $60 for nothing that I charged. They called me and I explained that I no longer want this card and that I shredded the card. Now they have gone on my credit score and lowered my score-84 points where my score was 749, now 665. I want this company notified that they have to stopCustomer response

Today I called Credit One to determine a solution to a issue that I have with them and I asked to speak to their department that canceled account so I can see if I can get a resolution before closing the account. The person answer the phone transfer me to somebody else that person I didnt get a chance to even say to words too, because the phone dropped the call and hung up, but the representative that transferred me to her had already given her my information and told her that I want to close my account which I said I wanted to talk to them and see if we can find a resolution so I didnt have to close the account. So the phone hangs up I called back to finish discussing with them to see if I want to close the account or not, and they illegally after the phone disconnected. I never had any words with this representative. They legally closed my credit card without me telling them to close it I said I wanted to inquire about it and the representative that I did not even get a chance to talk to you because the phone dropped the call and it hung up Closed my card and they said that they couldnt open it back up unless I paid the overdue balance I guess the finance charges came through making it go over the credit limit so they said they could not open my car back up even though I did not tell her to close it but sure I never even had a conversation with the second rep so thats why Im contacting you guys because they closed my credit card without my permission and refused to open it back up without money Thats gonna affect my credit score and everything because they close that account illegally without me telling them to. I just told him I want to see what my options were with the issue I was having I didnt close the account. I never spoke to you again the second representative because the phone disconnected and I had to call them back.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thank you guys for opening it back up, but they should not do that and close peoples account if they dont talk directly to that department that they are transferring us to when the phone hangs up do not close peoples accounts because you dont have the verbal authorization after you guys transfer and say that you cant do it in one department that you need to talk to a different Department.

I had credit card fraud for my account ending in 7529. I filed a dispute with this credit card company, and they denied my claim, stating I made the two fraud charges. I asked them what I had to do to show I did not make these charges, and they said show proof. I have no idea how to show proof that I did not make these charges, and when I asked them what I needed to do, they hung up on me. I opened any other claim with them #************C but they stated without proof I am responsible for the charges. I have not used this card in over a year and these are the only charges on this card. They also stated I need to contact the merchant but I don't even know who this merchant is and as a consumer this type fraud should be protected. I'm not getting anywhere with the company and am seeking assistance in resolving this. I had requested Credit One Bank to close my account in January 2020. They continue reporting to the credit bureau open without my authorization. Because open account it has caused a negative impact to my credit history for having an old account open 6 years, 1 month. I was denied credit because this account shows not able to make payment in a reasonable time. This credit card has a $0 balance and a credit line of $450, which I decline.Business response

Credit one bank is the issuer of my credit card. I had a $216.00 charge on my credit card statement that was not mine. I called and was told i cash a check that they sent me. I never received any check and have never cashed a check against my credit card. I was sent the canceled check which was cashed a ************ , which i do not bank at. Also the signature on the check was not my signature. I contact the corporate off ice on two occasion and was told to make a police report and upload it to the website. I again called and was told the investigation ws completed and they insist that i cashed the checks. I was never contacted by the fraud department and i had to call several times to get a copy of the cancelled check. I have asked for information on the investigation and have not received any documentation. I received a letter which had the wrong account number regarding the incident. I have had this card since ***** and have never cashed any check sent to me. The check that they say i cashed i never received in the mail. I anm asking for further investigation and resolution and refund of my stolen money.Business response

In July of 2023 I called customer service to cancel ********************** protection on both of my cards as I did not choose that option. They only canceled it for one of the cards and have continued to charge me the monthly fee. I have tried multiple times to contact customer service but to no avail as there isnt a way to talk with someone. Also, the options available to cancel the credit protection dont allow you to do anything and keep redirecting back to the main menu. I would like for the credit protection to be cancelled and my account reimbursed for the charges from July of 2023 to now.Customer response
