This company will advertise its self as a credit repair company. (when in realty it is just a credit education company that offers free credit repair as a bonus.). I reached out to the company wanting to get assistance and help repairing my credit. As such got a call from ***** the owner and scheduled a call. He went over his services and what a sales person. Seriously touted how great the company was how I would be getting 60 to 70 point raise in my credit within 60 days. The cost is very expensive I decided to move forward with it. Soon as I signed up I began having issues and then crickets no one called. I reached out after calling several times I finally got a hold of someone who went through the setup and supposably my stuff was being worked on. I get these automated messages got someone from another country it seems calling me who has no idea what is going on with anything on my account. Tells me to schedule a call with a credit expert which they don't know anything either. Basically they send letters in and nothing ever happens. They take 4k of my money and running a bait and switch business. There is no credit repair at all. I've asked to cancel my services and call what I paid services rendered and not charge anymore but they continue to charge no one will call me back and I can't get anyone of authority on the phone. 4 Voicemails, reached out on social media and still nothing. I signed up for Fortress University and charged $4000.00 for a joint credit repair with my husband. It has been 12 months and nothing has been repaired. All I am looking for is the reason Fortress Credit Pro did not perform as promised and, after 1 year, to return the contract portion of $4000.00 to my husband and I.
In a phone conversation with ************************* on 9/25/2023, ***** agreed to return our money if we do not proceed with our claim with BBB.
In my opinion, this is unethical and illegal. Can this company do the right thing?

I am rejecting this response because: I received a totally different email from Fortress Credit Pro.They stated that my filing 2nd complaint would not speed up the refund process. In my opinion, this is borderline intimidation.
I have the email and would be happy to forward. I have not received the refund i was promised by end of last week. I also emailed Fortress requesting confirmation of refund. I asked for check type, date sent, amount and address sent to. I can also forward a copy of that email.
This is the way Fortress has operated for over one year and $4650.00 later. Many broken promises and unreturned calls.
Please let me know how to proceed as refund promise has not happened.

On December 22, 2023, *************************, owner of Fortress Financial, introduced a promotional video (video attached) highlighting a line of credit offering. This specific product featured a $25,000 credit line accessible with a $500 initial payment, followed by subsequent monthly payments of $50. As directed, I made the $500 payment through the provided application URL, and subsequently, seven additional payments of $75.34 were withdrawn from my account totaling $527.38 verses the $50 per what's reflected on the application. Despite fulfilling the payment obligations, I have not received the promised product. Numerous inquiries were made regarding the status, during which I was informed that there had been a temporary setback but reassured that the product would soon be activated. Unexpectedly, the situation took a different turn, with the explanation that the advertised product was no longer available. Instead, I was directed towards a credit repair program, despite the fact that my credit was not in need of repair. It is crucial to highlight that a line of credit and a credit repair program are distinct and unrelated offerings.Additionally, it is concerning that the credit repair program was suggested to come at a cost exceeding $1,000. It's worth noting that in the initial communication, there was also mention of an "University," the context of which remains unclear in the current circumstances as they told me the University was free. Per the video a line of credit was never recorded and he publicly confirmed he wasnt able to provide the product any longer. There is zero need for me to release any social or personal info. ***** need to acknowledge that he sold a product and then failed to deliver. Yes, I will be taking him to court. There are other people he has scammed and a class action law suit in the works.
The Better Business Bureau is important to showcase scammers such as ***** and is a completely different platform than the **************** sure a lot of complaints against businesses find themselves in court as thats the recourse should a full refund not be issued.

I contacted Fortress back in 2020 to cancel my membership. Payments were set up through ********; however, they claim Fortress never notified them my account was cancelled and ******** continues to charge me and has put on my credit that I owe over $2k in past dues. When I call ********, they tell me I need to call Fortress, and when I call Fortress, they tell me I don't have an account with them and to follow up with ********. I don't understand why these two companies are not talking to each other and I am stuck in the middle with a collection for services not used after I had already cancelled them! *******************************, Hired Fortress July 2020 to dispute some inaccurate items from her credit report. Fortress charges $125 per account we successfully get removed. In August when we did our monthly review by pulling a new credit report for ******************************* we found that we successfully removed 12 accounts so we billed *********************;$1500. We sent an invoice for $1500 to ******************************* and requested payment within 7 days as per the contract *********************;signed. ******************************* then requested to placed on a payment plan. Instead of sending ******************************* to collections we sent them to ******** where they signed another contract promising to pay ******** the $1,500 they owed Fortress. As of today 8/29/23 THREE YEARS later, ******************************* still has not paid ********. ******** now has the right to sue ******************************* and seek wage garnishment if the balance is not paid in full. If ******************************* would like to pay fortress the past due amount we can also accept payment. I am rejecting this response because when I asked for Fortress to provide a list what was removed from my credit report that they claimed I was being charged for, they refused to provide this information. I saw no change on my end for what they were claiming I was being charged for. I then requested my account be immediately cancelled. Even in the BBB response, there is an explanation that my report was pulled and when they pulled it again a month later, 12 things were removed, so they are charging me for those. However, I would like evidence of what was removed AND that Fortress was responsible for these removals. If I was also disputing entries on my report directly with the collection agencies, as is my right, and those disputes resulted in a removal, why would I pay Fortress? If Fortress would like to provide this evidence that I have asked for on Multiple occasions, I will take it into consideration.

************************* hired Fortress to help with his credit 2/15/23. ************** was given access to our financial and credit education and he actually attended a few of the classes. Unfortunately due to ************** not providing us with proper identification we were unsuccessful in the first month with getting items removed, We instructed ************** to provide us with a Drivers License, a social security card and a utility bill proving his identity to the credit bureaus. This is a requirement from the credit bureaus as you can see at *************************************************************************************************************** For some reason he simply refused to provide us with the documentation. On 2/25/23 the $25,000 tradeline was added to his credit report, but when he filed bankruptcy and named the tradeline company in the bankruptcy the company that was reporting the tradeline removed it. As far as **************' claim that Fortress is billing him even after he filed bankruptcy is untrue as we have b=never billed him. ************** obtained a loan from a third party and they paid Fortress. I am assuming he also named the 3rd party loan company bankruptcy. To rcap, ************** account with ********************** is cancelled, we are not billing him nor have we ever billed him and we did add the positive tradeline to his credit report, but due to him filing bankruptcy it was removed. We did try to help ************** and even though he filed bankruptcy and never paid for the education we still let him have access to it, hoping he would apply what we teach so he could recover from his bankruptcy, instead he filed complaints here and with ****** after calling us to ask why we were not working on his credit after he filed bankruptcy on us. Of the continuous lies by this company. There was never a 25k trade line added to my report. I can attach a copy of my credit report from the following months after they stated it was reported, which is odd due to the fact that the company stated that they stoped reporting these loans and that they never reported one to my credit report. Again they have continued to lie. Also by stating that I never sent requested documents when I did this on several occasions. As far a then saying I pulled a loan out for this process. It is one of their lenders who they use for financing which has been also like everything else a scam. If it very disheartening to know that a company would continue to lie. They stated in their last reply that the 25k trade line was removed after my brankrupcy, which I could understand if the bankruptcy has been filed in court which it has yet to be done. I am rejecting this response because: I have not seen any chance in my credit report. I have asked several times for a list of the items removed and have not been given this information. I have not seen in improvement in my overall score. After the third month of being told to wait and that the process takes time, I feel I am being mislead and taken for a fool. I am told repeatedly that there are actions I can take to better my situation, that's good advice but not the reason for hiring a third party company to do repair. Fortress Credit Pro is contracted with ******** and both are scamming myself and others from their money. I filed a complaint with ******** and they kept referencing Fortress Credit Pro but I never signed a contract with Fortress only ********. Now they are falsely reporting on my credit report stating that the company is a Medical Payment which is not true. I confirmed with ******** that money was in fact stolen from my account so I will be filing a lawsuit. I want to ensure everyone is held accountable before I proceed with that. On ********* signed the contract with ******** on 12/14/2021. ******** is the finance company that finances our credit education program. She made one payment in January 2022 and then defaulted. She currently owes ******** $898.92. They will continue to report her late to the credit bureaus until paid. Due to defaulted we have closed her account with **********************. I highly recommend ********* pays ******** as they are known to *** once the debt owed hits $1,000.

The contract does belong to Fortress and you owe Fortress the money. ******** is the processor, but you signed a contract with ******** on behalf of Fortress and you promised to pay them for the work you hired Fortress to do. Fortress did the work and you never paid for it.
If you went to a car dealership and bought a car using a loan from ***** Fargo, would file a complaint with the BBB against the car dealership just because you stop paying ***** Fargo and they reported you late? this is what you did, you hired Fortress to remove items from your credit report. Fortress did what you hired them to do, then you stopped paying ******** and now that ******** is reporting you late you filed a complaint here. If you would simply pay your bills you wouldn't have new collections reporting on your credit. I engaged Fortress Credit Pro to remove some things off of my credit report and help get my score raised. From the very beginning they were asking me to do all of the work however I was paying them. Shortly after working with them I realized that things werent going as they advertise. I canceled my contract only to be told I had to fulfill it but they would no long work on removing the things on my credit even though I saw nothing showing they were working on it. This was in February of 2022. So let me understand this correctly, ** still being charged for work that is not being done and was never done?? They wont return calls and my only contact is with ******** who say they talk to Fortress but arent allowed to give me a actual contact number, just the (800) that nobody answers. They will respond by saying you signed a contract which is correct, but it also says you only get paid for results not for effort . This is a scam company with horrible leadership if any at all. The other complaints Ive read match mine almost identically so I know this is their business model. Take money, offer no services, frustrate customers, limited contact/follow up then report bad payment to credit report (even though they dont report good payments). In just six minutes with Experian Boost I got far better results than my time dealing with this subpar company. **** ********* hired Fortress on 2/8/2021 to help with removing inaccurate accounts from his credit report. He agreed to pay us $125 per account removed. 30 days later we removed the accounts and sent him an invoice. He asked to pay us via ******** as he couldn't afford to pay us in full. He signed an agreement to pay ******** and they now have been billing him for the work completed in March 2021. The attachment that YOU sent says "Each (checkmark) represents a $125 charge after item has been deleted" and it shows that report has 4 checkmarks and that totals $500. I paid all of last year and the first few months of this year at $97 a month. I am still getting charged and I would bet you can't show me anything that's been removed in the last 7 or 8 months. Imagine you want to buy a car, but cant afford to pay cash for it so you get a loan from a bank to pay the dealership for the car. The bak approves your loan and pays the dealership for the car. You then drive off the lot with the car. Then 6 months later you start calling dealership complaining on the bank and asking for a refund, but you want to keep the car. Then when the dealership said no they are not going to refund the money as you have the car, then you start filing complaints with the BBB against the dealership, even though they did nothing wrong and you still have the car and are using the car everyday.
This is exactly what you are doing, in this story we are dealership and the car is your credit that we fixed.
You signed a contract agreeing to pay us $125 per account removed from your credit report. Normally clients pay us in full as we get accounts removed, you said you couldn't afford to pay in full and asked us if we could finance the repair. This is where ******** comes in, we did the work, deleted the accounts and now you are not paying for the work that has already been completed. The $97 a month payment is going towards the amount still to ********. Please call ******** at ?**************? to catchup on past due payments to prevent them suing you.
The only thing I could do now is contact each and everyone of the 19 accounts we removed including your bankruptcy and have then added back to your credit. Then I can have ******** refund you what you have paid them.

I started an account with fortress university the beginning of December of 2022 with help with my credit everything started off good now when I call you dont get nobody to pickup they told me to wait ***************************************************************************************************************************** almost 4 days to get someone online and they said that I was up for a review on my account so they sent me a link to my email for a day and time for the review that day came and I was supposed to get a call @ 1:30pm no call I waited for 3 hours and then I called them and they told me that they were getting ready to call you at this point I thought it was a scam company and wanted to cancel my account so as I was talking to them on the phone and told them that I wanted to cancel my account and get my money back they told me that I have to be there for 6 months that was in my agreement that I signed up so I said I said just keep it open and we will see when the June as I was talking with him I tried to sign in my account online and it said that I didnt have a account with them so he said that they updated the website and gave me a new one that u cant leave notes u cant download documents its like a fake website they stop sending the live seminars and everything that I said 100 percent truth and I can prove it from call log, I took pictures of the websites both the agreement and the what theyre ad says A HIGHER CREDIT SCORE GUARANTEED OR DOUBLE YOUR MONEY BACK We are so confident in our system that if you complete our program, we will guarantee that your score will increase. I am not sure what the Complainant is requesting. He did purchase our Gold program that includes our financial and credit education courses that can be accessed any time at FortressUniversity.com on 11/29/2022. He did schedule three appointments, he cancelled the welcome call where we go through how to access the courses. We did call him on the other appointments and sometimes we are not able to call immediately at the appointment time due to being on the phone with another client, but the client can always call us and someone will answer. We do a live coaching call every week for all of our clients and this is where we teach how to increase credit scores. He can cancel with us at anytime before the 5 day cancellation date, which was 12/4/2022, he did call and speak with Desean on 2/2/23 and asked to cancel, but then changed his mind. We do offer a 200% money back guarantee if we do not increase his credit score within 6 months, but this requires him to complete the 7 Days To 740 Credit course inside FortressUniversity.com. We did add a new secure portal for our clients to send us messages, review their file, review their credit reports and scores as well learn how to increase their credit scores. Again I am not sure what he is asking for at this time. I am rejecting this response because: I did talk to someone in February and asked if there was anything that I needed to do on my end they said no that Im fine and that I have a review coming I checked my email and it was a link to schedule that view when didnt get a call and they been texting all day saying if I miss the call that they will not be able to call back and I would have to schedule another time but over three hours is unacceptable and what company changes website and not inform the through email or phone messages of the change and when I called and the *************** sent me the link and said if I had any problems the number that he sent the link was personal number and I got on the site to check it out and I checked out my scores they were still the same and checked and see if I could send messages I could not I couldnt upload letters if I got form the creditors nothing I have no problem taking this complaint down and I will if they do what they said so far I havent heard or seen anything and Im not just doing for my self I have a couple was getting ready to start and a few that already have with company from what I told them if they are a legit company I will keep my promise and that what I said down I was just trying to put it on here while its still fresh and see what the up coming months bring
