            We found *****/Men of Trades LLC on Thumbtack and asked for a quote. Early July ***** and his helper came out to view our bthrm and get an understanding of what needed to be done. July 3, 2024 we sign a contract with him of a total of $2988.63 which we negotiated down to $2900 since we would pay in cash. Contract stated to pay half upfront for labor and some materials. I paid $1494.32 on July 3rd, 2024. Verbal agreement was that this remodel would take 4 days to complete. We needed our shower tiled, covering some drywall patches that were missing, walls/ceiling painted, installing a glass shower panel and installing our vanity.July 5th they started on our bthrm around noon. Right away they sent us to the store to pick up a list of things that they should've covered according to their contract. July 6th got here about 11:15 am to continue their work. July 7th got here about 10am. One of his tile guys (******) came this time with his uncle and 1.5 year old son that we ended up having to "house" while ****** was putting up tiles. July 7th at 16:18 he asks for $1225 for materials he bought and so he could pay his men (which I paid). July 8th ***** and ****** comes about 6am to continue install tiles. On the 7th and 8th they were installing 8x8 tiles on a 8x5 ft wall. July 9th ***** arrived around 10 am and continued the tiling. Every day he's here he's not spending significant amount of hours to get much done. July 9th around 7pm he asked for the remaining balance of $1525. Keep in mind they hadn't even finished the 8X5 ft wall at this point .. we still had the whole rest of the bthrm to complete. When I questioned the balance he was quoting some delivery fee, a blade and other miscellaneous things he had bought. (Del fee and a blade for his tool - this wasn't on the contract ?) I paid $760 at that point. ***** was a no call, no show the 10th and 11th. We've paid ******* to have some drywall, and tile put up. At this point we had to hire new help which costs more.
