I received an email from this organization stating that I was accepted into the honor society but I would have to pay a small fee. I paid the fee and also gave them an additional +$300 for a honor society ring as well. I never received the ring nor anything stating that I was apart of the honor society. When I emailed them regarding the issue they informed me that they would need for me to pay an additional +$300 in order to receive the ring. I was unaware that this company was not affiliated with my school at the time and I am unsure how the managed to receive my schools email address. This company continues to send me emails after I have requested for them to stop. Please help me recover my funds from this company.

We apologize for the confusion, the customer should have received a code to redeem the ring included in the membership. Since the charge was nearly a year ago, we are not able to refund it electronically, we will send a check out for $299 to the address listed in the complaint. Let us know if there are any other questions.

I received several emails from this site, prompting me to activate my account. I don't know how they got my contact info, and since I was a part of National Honors Society, I thought it was related to that. I gave them some personal information before realizing that it was not part of **** I would like to request that all of my information that I gave them when signing up for an account be deleted.

Date of transaction: March 15, 2024 Amount charge electronically from **** credit card $100.00 Business failed to disclose that this was a yearly membership that required two payments every 6 months of $100.00. Signed up for the honor society in March 2022 and thought this was a one time transaction. Never received an email confirmation on supposed membership requirements after signing up, never agreed to reoccurring payments and was never informed that membership would require reoccurring payments that would be automatically withdrawn from my credit card every 6 months. Luckily, I recently stopped utilizing the **** credit card this year and paid it off and it had a zero balance and this is how I discovered that the Honor Society has been charging my credit card every 6 months since 2022. Most companies send out a reminder for upcoming payments but I have never received such notification from this company because they intentionally hide this practice from unsuspecting customers. I have since canceled my membership as of today 3/24/24 and plan to reach out to company and request a full refund of $400.00 for unauthorized transactions on my credit card that I was unaware of.

I was charged $65.00 on two separate occasions without my approval or awareness, on the dates 07/24/2023 and 01/22/2024. I have been receiving constant emails from this business for over a year despite not remembering enrolling in their program. I understood the business to be a program offered through the University I am currently attending, but this doesn't seem to be the case as it's not even based in the same state and has no visible connections to any University from what I'm able to tell. I attempted to resolve the matter by contacting honorsociety.org, but I'm unable to get in contact with a human representative and was instead met with multiple emails sending links and directing me to "verify my email account" via a 3rd party authenticator asking for a password, which I find suspicious. I find this business and the way it presents itself is intentionally deceptive, and would like to stop receiving fraudulent charges and unrequested advertisements from them, as well as a refund for the money they've taken from me without my permission.

Thank you for reaching out, we have gone ahead and issued the credit to the customer. Upon further review, we see that the customer contacted us via our chat system, our agent attempted to confirm the account but the customer disconnected. Let us know if there any other questions.

This entity began issuing debits to my credit card without authorization in ***************** until an internal review alert identified it at my bank. When I attempted to get information on it and stop it, I was sent in a continuous referral loop by telephone referring me to cancel online and none of my 3 emails had any notices of initiated service with this company. Moreover, none of my emails using forgot password function on their website sent anything to any emails I own. Their own website says you won't receive an email if there is no account. How can you be billing me when you have no account tied to any of my 3 emails. Seems highly fraudulent and I want to know how your company obtained and started billing my credit card without my knowledge or consent.

I was very skeptical when I saw that emails from this organization kept popping up because I had been through a similar situation and paid money when I was at another college before transferring. Turns out my skepticism was right. After reading other students complaints, I agree that this is completely fraudulent. I looked on my universities website and honor society wasn't even listed! I want my name and personal information removed and emails stopped immediately.

Without my awareness or approval, honorsociety has been charging my credit card for many years for membership fees. We recently discovered this during a credit card review. I did not enroll in any membership with them, give them the right to store my credit card information, or renew automatically every six months. I was not aware of the existence of such a membership and did not even know what they do! This is pure theft. For God only knows how many years, they have been stealing money from me. Our credit card statements on file showed four recent charges: 5/13/2022 ($50), 11/13/2022($50), 5/7/2023($65), 11/7/2023 ($65). There is not even a human person to talk to when I tried to call. I had to contact my bank to lock the card for a replacement to get out of their preying business. Looking at the reviews, this is not their first time doing this to college graduates. If you have any honor at all, please search your records and refund my hard earned money, all of them unlawfully taken away over the many many years! The 90-day limit should not be applicable because you took money without my approval or awareness.

This company has been sending me unprompted emails begging me to sign up for their service ever since I graduated. I never signed up for these emails or even visited the website, plus I graduated from a small private school, making me wonder the legitimacy of where they found my email. Seems incredibly scammy and under the table. From what I can find online, they are taking advantage of students, charging an exorbitant amount of money for very little in return. I would like to be removed from the mailing list and be told how they found my email.

I am rejecting this response because:

I explicitly asked how the company found my email, and I find it extremely suspicious that they didn't even attempt to answer the question. How was my email obtained and how many other unaware students are being pushed into this blatant scam?

I subscribed to this company with the intention of receiving scholarship information, but I never gave my consent for them to debit a monthly amount of $65 per membership from my bank account. Therefore I canceled my subscription and demanded a refund, but I only received $65 and they still owe me $65, because they arbitrarily debited my bank account for said amounts, which I consider a fraudulent billing practice. It should be noted that I am from an immigrant family with limited economic resources and I subscribed to said website with the purpose of receiving information that will help me obtain scholarships, but I never authorized any automatic deduction from my bank account, they should investigate this company since They play with the hope of working families.
