I subscribed to this company with the intention of receiving scholarship information, but I never gave my consent for them to debit a monthly amount of $65 per membership from my bank account. Therefore I canceled my subscription and demanded a refund, but I only received $65 and they still owe me $65, because they arbitrarily debited my bank account for said amounts, which I consider a fraudulent billing practice. It should be noted that I am from an immigrant family with limited economic resources and I subscribed to said website with the purpose of receiving information that will help me obtain scholarships, but I never authorized any automatic deduction from my bank account, they should investigate this company since They play with the hope of working families.

Yesterday, I received an email that my son was selected to join the honor society. I thought that it was the National honor society. I feel that I was preyed upon because my son is a senior and has been looking for scholarships. I hate that I didn't do more research. This company has no merit. I was mislead and would like a full refund, and to be removed from any mailing and/or communications list.

I have received emails without opting into emails with this business. Proof of my consent on a first-party basis (ie my information was not shared through my consent of a third party affiliate, I personally agreed to TOS and opt-in for Honor Society) must be provided to null my claim. My email could not have been attained without the use of a data broker. Emails have been received on a near daily basis for a few weeks now. Honor Society never received or attempted to receive consent before initially sending or continuing to send emails to sell a product to a targeted audience (undisclosed advertisement). The emails are not labeled as advertisements and are not facilitated through a third party system (I.e. ******** ad program). Because of this, what should be labeled as spam (or promotional material) reaches the primary inbox. Being removed from the registry will not be sufficient for my complaint to be addressed.

Unsolicited Emails and False Promises My first grievance relates to the organization's persistent sending of unsolicited emails to students. Students, already overwhelmed by coursework, are often deceived by the formal appearance of these emails. They claim to offer exclusive benefits and opportunities that could help in academic and career advancement, but in reality, they offer very little value. Many students have been led to believe that membership in the Honor Society is a prestigious honor, reserved for a select few. However, upon joining, many find that the promises are hollow, and the actual benefits are sparse at best.Misrepresentation of Program Value The Honor Society advertises a slew of benefits for their members: scholarships, a robust career network, and even exclusive discounts on various services. This misrepresentation plays a critical role in attracting students who believe that the membership fee will be a worthy investment in their future. However, many have found that the scholarships are either incredibly competitive or altogether nonexistent. The so-called "career network" often comprises a list of unresponsive contacts, rendering it virtually useless for practical career development. The discount services are also generally found to be of little value.Questionable Billing Practices My third concern revolves around their billing practices, which many have found to be opaque and misleading. Several members have reported that they were billed for renewal fees without prior notification, and attempts to cancel memberships have been met with bureaucratic resistance, making the process complex and frustrating.Lack of Transparency and Accountability In addition to these practices, there seems to be a lack of oversight and accountability within the organization. Numerous complaints and negative reviews online have failed to elicit any meaningful response or corrective measures from Honor Society.

This entire thing was a scam. I payed for the signature tier which was the most expensive plan because I thought this was a part of the national honor society because theyre basically posing as them to trick college students into spending all their money thinking itll help them. I paid like $300 and everything, and when i asked for a refund they literally refunded me $16 back. thats it. A few days ago i switched my plan from the highest to the lowest which was like $65 because i didnt want them charging me 300 this month. they didnt even give me the full $65 back when really they owe me $300. Im beyond mad and at this point Im considering taking serious action because this really is a scam. They only have not associated with *** like buried deep on their website and they literally use the same insignia as national honors society and everything so they tricked me into believe their organization was something else.

Thank you for reaching out. The customer signed up for our signature membership, included in the membership is an Honor Society Class Ring. This ring was delivered to the customer. The member then downgraded their account and was refunded the prorated amount for their membership. We are unable to to ***** the request due to our terms since the member received the Honor Society Class Ring. We ask this complaint be removed from our records since it is an unreasonable request and an invalid complaint.

Back in college I created an account with this company and subsequently closed it and ended my membership. Unfortunately, for the past 4-5 years (this year included) they have been charging my account $50 biannually. In my account it says my membership is not active and you need to be a member to redeem benefits. Activate membership here. Yet, I am still being charged without an active membership. I am unable to delete my account and cancel my current membership because it says your user does not have access to this section Im guessing because I dont not have an active account.

I was invited to join the honor society program, and I tried to pay with my card twice on one once on a different one because the first did not go through. I though maybe they didn't accept **************** so I use ***** I couldn't log into the site under my email to get to my account, however it allowed me to print the certificate in my name but when I called to ask whether or not I paid more than once the representative would not answer my questions, and when I tried to call them it kept redirecting me to another recording. I was not able to get through to a person who could/would help me with cancelling any potential account and getting a refund. The chat assistant told me to send her my credit card statement so they could look into the issue. I refused and told them to check under both my school and personal email that if I had an account they should beable to tell, and then agent never answered again. The link to the website is below. Thank you.************************* *********************************************

On the date of 02/28/2023, my spam folder had numerous emails from the Honor Society, claiming I had a last chance to be inducted. Today, I have been charged $65.00 to find out there are little to no benefits for me as a student, and that there is no affiliation with this to the college. I want a refund and for my account to be deleted.
