      We had just bought our home and we were getting all of our paper work in order and organized in our filing cabinet and we received a letter from them about obtaining our deed. Even on the recorded phone call, the first thing I say is that I'm calling to get a copy of the deed to our home and the lady on the phone does not bother to correct me saying what it really is, it's a property profile company (which what I later found out) and just proceeds to take my payment. I hope they do the right thing and refund me.

      This customer ordered from us over a year and a half ago and the report and complimentary deed was confirmed delivered to their address, we are unable to refund her card as the credit card companies have time limitations on processing refunds, and this has request for refund greatly surpassed that time frame. We will mail a refund check to address on file, the normal process when requesting a refund is within our 30-day return policy and for the reports to be sent back to us but please advise this customer they can keep the reports with our compliments., and we are sorry for any misunderstanding in our type of Service. We Thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      I am rejecting this response because: at the time we were fixated on just purchasing a home and getting settled in and unfortunately I had forgotten about it. Moving in with furniture, saying goodbye to apartments leases, setting up water/light, deposits etc. It's a lot! Time flies and you forget about it. Suddenly it's a year or more. Then I found out that I could use BBB's services. The problem remains the same. You had a staff member who refused to tell the truth and correct me when I mentioned I wanted to purchase my deed and took my money without clarifying what I was really paying for. Had she done this, I would've hung up and tore the paper up (and she knew this, so she wanted me to believe whatever it was to obtain my money) Maybe I wouldn't be yet another unsatisfied customer of yours.

      we will be mailing a refund check, when a customer calls our "payment line" our assumption is that they have read the notice and understand the nature of our service, and know what they are paying for, and hope that if they had questions or doubts, they would state them before paying. Our letter clearly states our services, and our representatives are available to answer any questions. This customer is being refunded and we have greatly extended our refund policy (over 1 year) to accommodate the refund request and we now consider this matter closed. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      this customer called and ordered ********************** reports for their property, and their voice authorization was recorded on our system, and emailed receipt/ order confirmation sent. The property reports were delivered to their address. This customer made no attempt to contact us (or return the property reports), if they had we would have refunded them immediately. This customer has initiated a charge back with their credit card company and a full refund has been issued by their card company. We are NOT a scam, we provided the requested service and the payment was refunded and our product not returned, We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      The full refund check will be mailed out next week, we did not receive a message or voicemail from this customer or is there any record of them contacting us, if we had, we would have refunded immediately. We do not hang up on anyone, and if they called outside of our PST hours there are multiple ways to leave us a message/ email ETC. We apologize this customer had difficulty.

      We recently purchased a new home in ********. We closed and paid all of our closing and recording fees with our title company and bank. We moved in and then received the attached official looking invoice for a "Recorded Deed Notice". Luckily I took the time to research the company online to find that they are a 110% scam in the way in which they take advantage of public records. Please ensure that their business practices are put to a stop. At a minimum, a full disclosure statement of what services they are offering in exchange for payment are to be received. You should be ashamed. Not surprised though as this appears to be commonplace in CA. No wonder every company wants to exit there as fast as possible.

      We are sorry this consumer is upset. We do Not send invoices.Our solicitation letter clearly states on the first line this service to obtain a property profile and that it is a service for a service fee (for the compilation and research for the ***** page property report) then the next paragraph is all about the uses of the property report, followed by bullet points with the contents of the report.
      We are Not a scam and such comments can be considered defamatory, the facts and a detailed explanation of our services are on our letter, including a disclaimer in large font on the front of the letter stating we are not a government agency. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this process.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The advertisement used is deceitful. It is anything but clear as to what is being solicited. It reads as a bill that should be paid after an unsuspecting homeowner purchases a property. If you read the multitude of complaints found online, you will find many others feel the same. Please change your wording to clearly state, This is not a bill, just a solicitation or offer to obtain  a detailed property report, in bold at the beginning. This should save frustration and work for both parties.

      I have no idea who this company is and what I paid them for. I purchased a 1/4 of my parents property and I got an email from Property Profile. I thought it was part of the process of the transfer. I never recieved anything for the amount I paid. I do not have buyers remorse, I was scammed into paying the $109 for nothing. As I found this on BBB, I discovered it is a common theme. They spam peoples emails who are doing real estate transactions, make legitimate looking emails so people pay. But what are we/they getting? NOTHING! I never got an email confirming I recieved anything for the $109. I expect a refund and hope this company is shut down immediately as this is a major scam to get money for people who legitimately think they are getting something. I called the company and waited on the phone for 30 min with no answer, then was disconnected. So I called again, same thing happened.

      We are sorry this customer is upset, there is a lot of confusion in their complaint.
      We do not send out spam emails we mail a solicitation letter , the only emails we send are in response to a customer email or a receipt for a payment (if requested by a customer)
      We are NOT a scam, we offer a service for a service fee, for a comprehensive approximately 40-page property report and free deed this is clearly stated on our notice.  it is our hope any person not understanding our notice would first contact us to ask questions before paying.
      Regarding the statement that this customer paid for and received nothing, it clearly states on our letter that it can take up to 21 business days to receive the property reports, this customer paid on 6/9/23 and as of today 6/21/2023 it has only been 7 business days.
      Our representatives are available 7-4 PST Mon-Fri to answer a call. We apologize that this customer had difficulty getting through, maybe it was after our PST hours, a busy time, or a phone issue, either way there is a phone message system, email and fax as alternative ways to contact **.
      All our calls are recorded, customer did not provide ** with an email to be able to send an emailed receipt, we would have been happy to provide her with one.

      We have issued a full refund to this customers card it can take up to 72 business hours to process through their bank. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      Property Profile *** sent me a Deed Filing bill for $109 that looked legitimate. When I received the bill, it looked real so I paid it with my *********** CC on 3/19/23. I called Property Profile to get my money back and the automated attendant hung up on me. THIS COMPANY IS CLEARLY A SCAM so I directed *********** NOT TO PAY THE $109 which they have stopped. I don't want this to happen to another person so I'm taking the time to alert the BBB and put a stop to this abuse. Thanks so much. Please call my cell if you have any additional questions.       Property Profile sent me an email claiming to get me a copy of my deed soon after I bought and closed on my new home in Jan'23. The email looked formal and I paid 109$ for this. The only reason I realized the scam was when the document said "not a an official / formal document"

      The *** that this customer sent was receipt sent to this customer after they made a payment online not to order their deed as this customer stated. We did send a letter (not an email) with a service fee offering an approximately 40 page property report, which they responded to by paying the service fee online.We went ahead and issued a full refund it can take up to 72 business hours for it o process through their bank. we thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      The company Property Profile sent a letter to my home that appears to be a bill that is in fact not a bill but payment for 'property assessment profile' services which can be obtain at a much lower rate directly from my county clerk. When I called the company and stated that I am calling to pay a bill the agent did not clarify that the document was not in fact a bill but an optional service. The agent proceeded to start the payment recept process. At this point I asked additional questions about what happens if I don't pay the bill and only then did the agent admit that it was not a bill.

      Our Service Fees are for the compilation and research for an approximately 40-page property report, if a home owner chooses to research their own property information in all the different departments in the public record (not just the county clerk) if they know what information is available and where its located then they would not need our services. All our calls are recorded, our phone system offers 2 lines, select #1 for making a payment #2 for questions (or anything else). This customer called us selected #1 to make payment, and stated they wanted to make a payment, we assume that a consumer selecting the payment line and asking to make a payment has read and understood their solicitation letter and has no questions, is unfair by this consumer to suggest otherwise,especially since his questions were addressed. This consumer was given a lengthy detailed explanation of our services, it was made very clear (it is also is very clear on our letter),that this is not a bill, we are not a government agency,its optional, and  its service fee for a service. We thank The BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      The letter we sent to this customer was to offer a service for a service fee, it l clearly states that the service fee is for a property report (property profile) nowhere does it say its a bill for a deed filingas stated by this customer.
      We are not a Scam or Bogus!!! The letter this customer received clearly states it is a service for a service fee, that it is not a bill,that we are not a government agency, and that its optional. We are sorry that the Automated system disconnected this customer ( after business hours) our automated system does give the option to leave a message before disconnecting, We also have our email listed on our letter/website or a live representative is available 7am-4pm PST. We have refunded the full amount; it can take up 72 business hours for the banks to process the refund, at that time this customer should follow up with their bank. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter

      We just moved into our home and we were sent a form in the mail saying we needed to pay ****** by a certain date to register our property. I paid ****** on line. I later called the county we live in to make sure everything was ok with the property. They explained to me that this was a scam. I called my bank and was told I need to call them directly to get the refund. After numerous attempts to call, I haven't reached anyone. I either get a recording or am put on hold until it hangs up.

      this customer was refunded immediately when she contacted us on 12/19/22, the representative  explained it  can take up to 72 business hours for the bank to process the refund, as of today 12/20/22 it has only been less than 24 hours since the refund was issued.We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.
