Let me start out by saying recently I moved to Henderson, NV. I can honestly state that this business is a PREDATOR in our community. The level of greed & deceit the service manager Ricky displayed exemplifies all that is wrong America.0n 04/06/2023 being fully aware that my care needed a tune up I took my vehicle to SO. NEV. T. B. A. SUPPLY CO dba Ted Wiens Complete Auto Service. I informed Ricky I needed a tune up, that my car had giving my normal mechanic in Northridge, CA. a po300 miss fire code in December of 2022. He asked was there a check engine light on. I told him no, car runs great, but my mechanic in LA County had informed me that the po300 code was my car's way of telling me it was time for a tune up. Ricky said if would be $175 just to scan my car and if I decided to move forward $119 would be applied towards repair. I also mentioned to Ricky I had a warranty but wasn't sure if it covered a tune up. I gave him the warranty company info & told him to call them to see if the tune up would be covered. He told me it would take a couple of hours before he could get to my car. I said fine I asked did they have a shuttle he said no so I Uber out & told him to call me when he had taken a look at my car. Ricky called & said car had given him a pending po300 code but misfire code not showing. He then recommended the same tune up I came in the store asking for and told me the price was over $1050. I asked why was it so high. He told me the 6 spark plugs cost $98 each & came out to $563.00 dollars. When I asked was there a cheaper plug he told me no. I told Ricky the price was inflated, that I could get a six pack of DENSO plugs for $60. Ricky then told me he could offer a different plug for $58 a plug. I told him would think about it & call him back in 10 minutes. Also I didn't authorize Ricky to check out my entire care but Rick also called me telling me I had a rack & pinion leak. I only told him to check the po300 code. I want a refund at the very least
