Ordered 4 figure 8 puffers. Order was delayed due to holidays, no problem. Finally got in contact to get an update and was told to watch for an email for tracking. No email ever came. What did come was 4 fish next day without notice. If I would have known thry were shipped I would have stayed home to receive the fish. Doesn't matter, I was home within an hour and we live in ******* so weather was 50ish degrees. I will note my 1st update call the gal told me thry ran out of stock and were waiting for more. 2nd update I was told no guarantee delivery. 24 hrs since they left the warehouse and these fish were SICK! Missing fins, covered in Epistylis, not just stressed from shipping. 24 hrs ago someone put these sick fish in bags and sent them to me. 2 have died. I've spent over $100 in medication so far treating these fish. I still cannot get a response from support. I immediately sent photos and videos and an email. Nothing. The other 2 will most likely die soon. No one answers the phone. Again, no notice of shipment. Our 1st shipment (2 f8 puffers) 1 died. I chalked it up to luck. 2nd order of 4, 2 died. I guess you can take your luck with 50% loss. Really disappointed no reply from support.

This was a valid complaint by ******** - I spoke to our packer on her order and he was unaware that figure 8 puffers required separate bags upon shipping (else in the dark they get scared when they bump against each other and bit each other). We are refunding ******** on this order and will reach out to her to let her know the cause.....on the 8 vs 4 delivered however, ******** requested four additional puffers after placing her original order for four, which we added, but she did not do the corresponding "acceptance" on the email so the additional part of the order never went through. **************** people were advised to emphasize the need to "accept changes" on the email in the future.Review fromMichael C

AFS INC. is now my place for buying fish. I ordered 2X's from them and am confident to keep buying from them. The first order was my first ever buying online and shipping. I was nervous about it. The fish came and some of the bags had leaked but the fish were all still alive. 1 **** was in bad shape though and died later. Every other fish was great and are now doing well in my tank. I told AFS about the leaky bags and they said if over the next 24 hours was any loss they would take care of it. Also the ****. That is awesome. Once these fish leave AFS they are at the mercy of Fed Ex and out of the control of anyone that cares about these fish till they arrive at their new homes. It's always a risk to ship fish. AFS still has the live policy despite that. I put in another fish order and it came yesterday and it was perfect. Beautiful healthy active fish and no leaks. They even added another fish I wanted to my last order after I placed the order! I LOVE this place and will buy from them again. If there is a problem, TELL them and they will work it out with you. Nice review ******* thank you. We do pack the fish so they should be good for 48 hours in case there is a one day delay somewhere along the ***** shipment (or *** we used them in the past). Sometimes that does not work though due to extreme weather conditions - hot or cold. And most fish, as long as they have a little air and are wet, can survive several hours if there is a punctured bag for instance. You must have done a good job acclimating the **** because it does cause quite a bit of stress and also if it happens again maybe add a little ich medicine - stress and create these outbreaks. Fortunately odds our in your favor! (or the fish's favor). We experience a 2% "problem" rate on shipping. And in the 2% case most of these the fish survive.Review fromTyler J

Ignore all of the negative reviews. I havent had any issues with them. I had a few DOAs but these are smaller schooling fish that are delicate so shipping will stress them out. But Ive never had an issue with aquarium fish sale. Anytime I have any DOAs or any other issues I email them and theyre quick to reply with a solution. Whether its a refund for the dead/sick fish or a question they always reply.AFS INC.

Thank you ***** - on the BBB we inevitably get some negatives - this site seems to attract them. We ship several hundred orders each week, and gratefully nearly all these go without a hitch. Ordered over $160 in fish and received no fish greater than 1 cm in length. Total ripoff!!!! Would not recommend doing business.AFS INC.

Good morning ******* - I am the warehouse manger and looked over your order...you ordered small fish - black tiger ****** blue eye tenellus, forktail rainbow that are small. So......you would get small fish. The other species were are normal medium size - platy, ram, apisto, male guppy and will grow into your aquarium just fine and maybe double in size - but all of those are well over 1 cm....not sure what you were expecting when you ordered ********************?Best regards,******************** ManagerReview fromTheresa B

Excellent service! They called me about replacements for out of stock fish. Their prices are very reasonable, all fish and shrimp arrived alive, were packed well with a heat pack and received very fast. I will definitely buy from them again!AFS INC.

I placed an order for Cardinal Tetras, Green *** Tetras, and Porkchop Rasboras. I received them today all all were alive and looked really good. After careful acclimation, theyre swimming around and even had a bite to eat. The packaging was very good and the heat pack kept them warm. There were no leaking bags and I was impressed. What set AquariumFishSale apart from other fish suppliers was the real good email communication and that I was able to actually call them. I received several status emails throughout the wait time and when I called, they explained that the slight delay was because they were not happy with the fish atm prior to sending. I like that. The two gentlemen who answered the phone were helpful, patient with my questions, and seemed to really care to please the customer. So many places either dont have a phone number to call, or are rather indifferent. Of all the online places Ive ordered from, AFS had the best customer support and (although its soon as I just got them this morning), some really fine healthy fish. To get 25 delicate fish shipped to me wo a single death is remarkable and Im sure to order again. There are only five stars available for my rating, but if I could do ten, I would. So????????????????????AFS INC.

10/10 DO reccomend!!! I ordered 3 fish from them, my first time ordering fish online so I was nervous! I got a yellow box fish, a panther grouper, and a leaf fish. All three were on a holiday sale and they were EXTREMELY cheap! Which made me even MORE nervous! I got confirmation immediately they would be shipped between 3-9 days, but it was very informative, detailed on the process, and professional. To my ABSOLUTE surprise I got an email from them AND fed ex saying my fish were out for delivery, less than 48 hours later. Literally felt like MAYBE a day! Placed the order at night on the 1st, recieved my fish around 11am on the 3rd! I had live tracking and when I got the fish the Fed ex guy had dropped them SIDEWAYS infront of my door. I rushed them inside and the leaf fish had lost 90% of its water. ***** seriously sucks! But all three fish were OK thankfully! And not only that, they all are VERY healthy looking, active, GORGEOUS colors, and thriving in my tank! I recieved emails through out the entire process, the website is easy to go through, and OMG the prices are better than half the online retailers, sale or not! I have my dream fish now thanks to AFS and I will definitely be ordering again!AFS INC.

Over the last 3 weeks I have place 3 orders totaling about $600 or more. Problem is orders never came. They said it could take up to 9 business days. When it was passed the 9 days I called and emailed about the orders. After about 3 weeks now I just canceled the orders. I never got an email or phone call explaining what was happening and when I finally had enough I said I wanted to cancel my orders they said sure but without any apology. Really not one word said from them. Complete and udder waist of time. I never got any orders or any apologies. Terrible business not sure how they expect to stay openAFS INC.

In 2019 I ordered a jumbo scale dragon scale betta. 6 ****'s, 10 cherry rasboras, some albino tetras and khuli loaches. The loaches did not make it but I got a refund for them within 10 minutes after sending a picture! Mind you the picture was sent as soon as I got the package. My Betta lived for years and I'm taking care of my 4th generation of ****'s from this vendor. I will always recommend.AFS INC.

I have made several orders over the last year, in total, more than a thousand dollars worth of a wide variety of fresh water fish and plants and never any problem with anything. All products have been as advertised or better, certainly healthy !!! I do not do salt water yet, but I can not imagine their service to be any different in regards to that. Each fish species is packed in a seperate container with "Methylene Blue" which has a wide variety of uses and then packed inside a styrofoam insulated container with other packing material to prevent the bagged fish from being tossed around and then placed in a perfectly matched cardboard shipping box.The people at Aquarium Fish Sale , are as good as they get and I can not imagine myself ever using another store unless there is something that they just absolutely do not have in their inventory. They are kind, responsive, dilligent, responsible and obviously care about the fishes, creatures, plants and things that they sell and also their customers. Offering a wide range of refunds, discounts and even a token gift occassionally that I found to be both useful and and an unordinary show of appreciation.If you have any problems with them at all, you are probably being a little or a lot unreasonable and need do a spot check, they are in the consumer relations business, serving the public and have a desire to make everyone happy. I am sure they would be happy to answer any questions you might have BEFORE you place your order with them. They even have a support link at the bottom of their webpage to ask your questions. All I can say is that since my children have all grown up and left home my now four aquariums are a lot happier since finding this store . SdAFS INC.
