10/18 I found out through a collections letter communication from outsource receivables management Inc that my daughter's mother never advised me of an outstanding bill with **** eye institute. I called them and paid the bill in full once I knew this was unpaid. I called outsource receivables management Inc to validate 10/23/2023 9:05am (please listen to the call) the outstanding debt was noted as paid in full. I explained to the rep my situation and what was going on 2 different ways two times. I was advised that they could not talk to me because they sent the letter to the wrong person and then was told that they could not talk to me because my name was not ******. I advised them that this was my middle name and that I needed someone to validate this debt was cleared. The person on the phone said they had to call the the original hiring debt entity to confirm my letter and debt and hung up on me while I was talking to him and was about to ask for a manager. If I am getting letters sent to my house from a debt collector agency that I can not act on or manage then it is not fair as a consumer to be contacted and when I call to settle the debt that was raised through a letter communication I should have a way to validate the debt and pay it. Neither of these options were provided and I was not able to escalate my issues and concerned to this abusive treatment to management because I was hung up on. I will like to file a complaint and ask that this recording be listening to as these business practices should not be allowed and this business should be shut down if they are sending letters out to people then not letting people pay the outstanding debt. This is complete fraud.
