On March 20, 2024 I ordered four, MacKenzie-Childs, Sterling Check, seat cushions in the amount of $428.67. The dimensions on the website describe the cushions as 18" wide, 17" long, 4" tall. The amount of cushion in the description was why I ordered them. When I received the box & opened it the dimensions were described as 18" x 17" x 2". That is quite the discrepancy considering the amount of cushion is clearly the most important part of the product. I promptly took pics of the website, the description on the actual product, & the product with a tape measure. Clearly not 4" tall. I contacted the company's customer service via email. I was apologized to and immediately offered a 20% discount. I replied that while I appreciate the offer of 20%, I did not feel this was a fair offer as the cushions are 50% less of a product than advertised. I felt a 50% discount was more in alignment of the product. The company representative was not authorized to give any more of a discount & was going to refer this to her superviser. I was contacted today by the supervisor only offering a 20% discount. I declined and requested a postage paid label for return. Clearly this is false advertising which is illegal in the state of Texas. I'm so tired of the big companies getting off the hook for such gross negligence. That is why I am reporting them to the FTC. I do have pictures of everything for your reference.
